Most of the 5.xx rom does not indicate whether it will work with xposed and we have to find it through the hardway of flashing/softbrick, how do we tell? any idea how does xposed work? is it rom dependent or is it kernel dependent?

ROM. Any 5.0 TouchWiz Deodexed ROM will support Xposed. Also the ported 5.1.1 ROMs will support Xposed too.

AOSP ROMs are almost always Deodexed I think (I don't use them, so not sure) and Xposed will obviously work on them, in fact it will work much better cause the compatibility of Xposed with AOSP ROMs are much better than TouchWiz ROMs. You can use the rovo's original Xposed on AOSP ROMs, no need to go for modified Xposed of arter's.

I don't want to lose access to the Samsung Stock Camera app. The HDR feature is incredibly good. Which roms actually include it, or is it easy enough to put back in if a rom doesn't.
Thanks

Any touchwiz based ROM will have it. I don't know if it can be implemented on any AOSP ROM's since some TW apps only work on TW framework.

I'm confused which roms are touchwiz based, does JFLTE mean that?

No, JFLTE is just a device/variant name of the S4. Touchwiz is the software running on the device. Usually just look at the rom title and it will include "TW" or "Android 4.xw/TW". Also if you read the features of the rom it will usally say based on Samsung Touchwiz or whatnot.
The other software versions are: AOSP, CM, GE/Google Edition. (Which would mean they are not Touchwiz roms)
Been looking all over the note3 forums. I'm sorry, but can someone link me?
Xposed for Samsung Lollipop is only an alpha at present, you need to flash a zip file via custom recovery and then install a customised apk file. I believe it's quite buggy so unless you have a custom recovery (i.e. Knox 0x1) and are prepared to live with an unstable ROM you might want to give it a miss.
I have 0x1 and am on omega rom. I only really want it for gel, greenify and amplify.
Where do I find it?

"Q: Does This work on Samsung ROMs?
A: It doesn't work on Samsung TouchWiz-based ROMs as is. It should work on AOSP variants however."

Byggy and unstable rom? Are you high? Just one example for you; which stock rom is more stable, battery friendly and faster than temaseks cm12.1? Show me. Even with exposed

he says that xposed is still buggy which since it's super alpha is certainly true. great that it's working but we're not there yet, which as well is what the dev rovo89 officially stated.

What he said. My rooted, debloated stock Lollipop ROM is super-smooth out of the box.
I only need a rom that is fast and is based on the touchwiz and things like fingerprint still work and it also needs to support xposed framework
This is the best rom for me personally: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/development/rom-5-1-1-tw-revolution-s5-s6e-note-5-t3235824
Does the fingerprint work with that
Alexndr http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/development/rom-ane4-kitkat-4-4-2-multi-csc-t2813628 works great for me.

I use WETA which I guess is a modified debloated stock. Get to keep the stock lg camera and second screen. Have magisk and xposed working too.
Although I'm probably switching to a AOSP rom like Resurrection once the 2nd screen api is more stable to implement.
Missing the smoothness and customizations from my 6p ROMs without having to a use a bunch of xposed modules.

Version 87 api 24. Haven't tried the systemless one so my safetynet fails.

Is there any ROM or modules that add more features to stock PIE rom. For me, all custom ROMs have some drawbacks and stock works best, all I need is something like havoc settings with it, I tried gravitybox but it doesn't offer as many features, maybe someone can make a custom systemui for stock ROM.
Try AEX
