What's New?
Special Edition:
DroidAce had long gone, and a resurrection was due. This special edition based on CM9 compiles all the latest features available to cm9 and various mods to ensure device stability. Main importance has as always been given to the three aspects:
Battery
Performance
UI
After working on these for quite a while, i can successfully say that the job has been fulfilled.
V3:
Well. It's come to an end. It's been a long journey since i started deving for DroidACE, I've learnt alot from it and I believe it's now in it's perfect stage. Basically with this rom, i've focused on three main things :

Yup..Maybe..That's why on second thought I never included the whole thing. Just a placebo. Forgot to edit! Thanks for the info though!

Weird....Tried Reflashing? And what instructions did you follow for the ICS Layouts?
Because, I'm using it on my Ace, with the ICS Layouts and no issue like that.....
Make sure you followed the instructions. I tried the ROM on my Ace, and two of my friends. No problem with them.
Any more info you can provide?
For UOT Themes, Did you try copying it to system \app using a root explorer?
I'll do some more debugging.

Instructions:
-Download the ROM zip and Place it in Your SDCard
-Goto your Recovery Mode (CWM/TWRP)
-Wipe Cache, Dalvik Cache , Factory Reset, System, Android Secure (FOR TWRP)

-Install the Zip and READ EVERYTHING carefully and Follow Instructions
-1st Boot Might take upto 3 Minutes So don't panic

FAQs​
Q- How To Change Battery Style in the ROM?
A- See Settings> Personalization > Status bar Battery Styles. Make Sure to Check on "Charge Animations" in case of Styles that Do not Have names beginning with "Xperia"
Q- Camera Crashing in the ROM?
A- 1.Make sure that Your Storage has Enough Space left.
2. Make Sure to change Settings > Storage > Default Write Memory to SD Card
Q- F.M. Radio Not Working after Social Camera?
A- Backup your Apps (Use titanium Backup, Not Recovery), Wipe Everything. Flash ROM Again, Reboot, and After 1st boot Flash Social camera v1.2 and Enjoy.
Q-How to revert to Normal Purexperia z2 style after flashing themes like Spiderman, etc?
A- just Flash this

Q- Xposed/ Gravity Box not working?
A- Make sure that all Xposed apps are in Internal memory and not sd card and update again.
Goto settings>apps and Move Xposed and Gravity Box or all other modules to Internal Memory.
Run Xposed and in Frameworks again Run "INSTALL/UPDATE" and reboot.
Now just UNCHECK Gravity Box and RE-CHECK Gravity Box and reboot.
Q-Problem with any 3rd party app?
A- Make sure it's in Internal storage and not sd card
Wipe data of the app if still happens
Q-Video Recording / HD video playback isn't working?
A-Flash fix. See in addons>smartsocial camera section
Q-How to use Smart Social Camera?
A- Download and flash the Zip from add-ons section and reboot, you'll find a background defocus or art filter camera in your app drawer open it and tap on the lowest bottom icon to switch between modules or use the camera widget in homescreen.
Q-Camera shows 6MP instead of 13MP?
A- change preview mode from full screen to 4:3
Q-Apps lose data on reboot?
A-Make sure you have that app in Internal storage and not sd card.
Q- feeling scrolling is slow?
A-Install Xposed Installer and xuimod, open Xposed Installer, tap on framework and Select install/update, don't reboot, Goto modules and tick xuimod then reboot.
Open xuimod and goto scrolling mod>scrolling configurations>set scroll friction to lower than 20
Q-How to switch between the Sims while calling or messaging?
A- Use The top-left icon on the notification panel to switch between Sims
Q- How to install OTA?
A- After Downloading OTA from OTA updater uncheck all options and press install, it'll reboot to recovery, there Goto Install>sdcard (external storage) >OTAupdater>download>update(zip) and flash it then reboot
Q-How to switch between Notification Panel and Quick Settings?
A-Drag the Notification Panel with two fingers for Quick Settings

Install Xposed Installer and gravity box, open Xposed Installer, tap on framework and Select install/update, don't reboot, Goto modules and tick gravity box then reboot.
Now open gravity box and goto statusbar tweaks>QuickSettings management>quick pulldown>right
And now pull the notification bar from the right side (where the clock is located) of your statusbar to get to QuickSettings

How to install

The ink effect in the lockscreen seems buggy.
Good work otherwise.
The rom feels smooth and fast.
EDIT: Also apps having an action bar have messed up statusbar color.
For example open play store and you will see.

What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP basically which stands for the Xperia Open Source Project was a project originally created by me @nilac) for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) and the project was created like 2 years ago when that time XOSP wasn't even existing. It was just S+ Reborn. The main idea was to create a custom minimal Xperia based ROM, by including the essential things which a user would normally use from a ROM.
The S+ Reborn became to be a big success because it was eventually ported on different Xperia Phones and some other Samsung devices so from there the XOSP project was founded. From the XOSP Project also the Reborn add-ons were created featuring with an Aroma Installer. I worked on the project for 2 years trying always to improve it constantly, eventually for the fact that LP on my Galaxy S+ became to be quite buggy i decided to stop the development and for about half of year the project was left in standby till I decided to bring it back again on the Zenfone 2 devices.
The project started growing again so with the Release 4 the project will be completely refactored to XOSP

Thanks for update.
I have flashed the ROM. Everything seems to work fine, except one thing: hw keys don't get disabled when enabling navbar.
I have mixed feelings about XOSP. It's nice to have a source built Xperia ROM, but there are some things, that I don't understand:
- stock theme. If it's an Xperia ROM, why doesn't it have Xperia theme? Actually, the stock theme is pretty ugly IMO, the gray - dark orange combination is not the best choice.
- sound enhancements. The ROM has Viper FX included, which is nice, but again on an Xperia ROM Sony's soundenhancements would be more appropriate.
All in all these aren't unsolvable problems. Now I have changed to the new RR, but I will definitely come back on next update, and possibly I'll just make a modpack with proper Xperia theme and missing Xperia apps...

Hey guys RL5 Revision 4 is out !
Here is the changelog:
- Sources synced with the latest ones from CM
- Switched to Android 6.0.1_r30

Hi, xosp is really cool ROM. Enjoying using this. All is working well so far. Flashed xospapps too. Most important thing is Dev has promised to develop this Rom at least up to June this year. That is enough to flash this nice Rom.

Yes hdr works. I am not cam freak. But hdr works. Yes you can use Xperia themes.

BRIEF INTRO
What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP basically which stands for the Xperia Open Source Project was a project originally created by me for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) and the project was created like 2 years ago when that time XOSP wasn't even existing. It was just S+ Reborn. The main idea was to create a custom minimal Xperia based ROM, by including the essential things which a user would normal use from a ROM.
The S+ Reborn became to be a big success because it was eventually ported on different Xperia Phones and some other Samsung devices and from there the XOSP project was founded. From the XOSP Project also the Reborn addons were created featuring with an Aroma Installer. I worked on the project for 2 years by trying always to improve it constantly, eventually for the fact that LP on my Galaxy S+ became to be quite buggy i decided to stop the development and for about half of year the project was left in stanby till i decided to bring it back again on the Zenfone 2 devices.
The project started growing again so with the Release 4 the project will be completely refactored to XOSP
REVISIONS AND RELEASES
I've got a different type of releasing, i will not provide weekly builds but just let me show you how the revisions and release type works: The revisions refers like to a sort of Nightly thing i mean the changes included in the ROM are small not as a Release one. All the releases got 5 revisions. So the Release is something even bigger right? Hell yeah! When a new Release is released expect many improvements or new features

My navigation buttons (hardware buttons) are not working. I have disabled navigation bar but still not fixed. They were working fine until yestrrday. Back button is working but home and menu buttons are not working. They make vibration when pressed..... Any fix plz?

Okay i found fixes.
To fix keyboard swype not working, update your language dictionary from your xperia keyboard settings.
To fix home button and menu button not working bug, disable multi window feature under developer options!!

After using it for 3 days it stopped working today. Yesterday night it was working fine but today at morning it went into boot loop. I don't know what happened because I did nothing wrong with it (as far as I remember I only changed the launcher but uninstalled it after installing it!)....

Try reflashing the rom

Data cannot turn on
I ported this to my vivo y15 ( with kitkat and 3.4.67 kernel ) .. Everything works , but mobile data cannot turn on .. How to solve ?

Hello Kenzukie, i flashed this rom and working fast but iam not able to turn on the data connection. i also change the sim and used the all apn, restart my device, making a call. but non of this enable my data connection. plz help me
