Please make sure all your data and files are backed up before commencing. Flashing OxygenOS onto CM does require a system wipe, so you will lose all of your data. We are actively working on an easier, more automated solution soon to be available, but for now the build must be flashed manually.
Please proceed only if you are confident in your abilities to flash a custom ROM. This guide exists to help you flash OxygenOS, but things can still go wrong if not followed correctly. While rooting and flashing will not void your OnePlus warranty, any damage caused by improper flashing is not covered under warranty.
The following instructions assume you have Fastboot and ADB installed.
Step 1
You first need to flash a recovery onto your device. We recommend using TWRP. Please download the recovery image to your computer. You can follow their instructions to flash recovery, or you can reference these steps:
Boot into fastboot mode. You can do this on your OnePlus One by holding down the power button and the volume up button. When you see the fastboot logo, connect your device to your computer.
In your terminal window, find the folder where you put the recovery image and run the following commands:
fastboot oem unlock (You can skip this step if your phone’s bootloader is already unlocked).
fastboot flash recovery <recovery.img>. Image file should be the TWRP recovery image.
fastboot reboot
You should now have the recovery installed.
Step 2
Copy oxygenos_1.0.0.flashable.zip to your phone. On a Mac, you can use Android File Transfer.
Step 3
Boot into recovery. You can do this on your OnePlus One by holding down both the volume down key and the power button.
Step 4
Once you are in the recovery interface, the first thing you want to do is a factory reset. Again, you will lose all your data so please make sure you have backed up everything before doing this.
Step 5
After the wipe, go to install and find oxygenos_1.0.0.flashable.zip. Confirm flash. This will flash OxygenOS onto your device.
Step 6
After the flash succeeds, you can reboot the device, which will take you to the new OxygenOS. Enjoy!

How Flash Stock rom???
1. First download rom to your pc
2. When you download rom open in winrar and check pack
3. If you have only one file update.app you can extrack but first you must create in desktop folder named dload and extract there.
4. If you have root and want flash full rom you can do it but you must have stock recovery.
5. Copy dload to your extsdcard and go to dialpad and write *#*#2846579#*#* and choise 4 and 1.
6. Your phone now power off and flash new firmware.
7. When its finish your phone boot again with new firmware.
P.s Flash firmware for your region or you be have bootloop or software brick and if you have you must have unlocked bootloader to reanimate your mate7
How Flash Ota update???
1. Download Ota update to your pc
2. Open using winrar and check do you have all folder and file look for exsample
cust
META-INF
patch
system
update.app
3. If you have that same folder do not extract from update.zip
4. Create dload on desktop and copy there update.zip and now copy to your extsdcard and go to dialpad and write *#*#2846579#*#* and choise 4 and 1.
5. Your phone now power off and flash new firmware.
6. When its finish your phone boot again with new firmware.
How restore twrp backup ???
1. If you have lollipop you must use pc to create folders:
TWRP/BACKUPS/ here you must put downloaded backup
2. If you have marshmallow you must use pc to create folders:
TWRP/BACKUPS/YOUR SERIAL NUMBER/ and here you must put downloaded backup
3. Download backup for your mate7 and extraxt to desktop
4. Copy all file to create folder and now copy TWRP folder to your internal sdcard or ext sdcard.

How to reanimater your mate after bootloap???
We have 2 methode for now.
Firts it's restore twrp backup and secend its fastboot and downgrade pack
If you use twrp backup and its work very good for you but if dont work you must use fastboot method
1. Power off device and go to fastboot
2. Extract file from update.app for lollipop :
- system
- cust
- boot
- recovery
- userdata
for Marshmallow extract :
- system
- cust
- boot
- recovery
3. Install adb drive from this topic
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118
and copy all file to C:/adb on your windows
4. Open CMD as administator and write this commads
cd C:/adb
adb fastboot
Now you on fastboot mode
When you extract file frome update.app you must rename file :
10.boot.img to boot.img
11.recovery.img to recovery.img
13.cust.img to cust.img
14.system.img to system.img
If you remane you can flash img file using fastboot methode using cmd
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash system system.img
It's take very long but wait. When its finish take micro sd adapter and put you micro sdcard and connect to pc and copy full rom :
If you use lp file because you have bootloop on lp you must flash that same rom what you flash file using fastboot
and do it that same for marshmallow
when you copy put your adapter to slot of microsdcard in your mate7
Now power of your phone and try go to flash method using 3 bottom on you mate7
VOL+ POWER + VOL- when you seescreen on realese power and wait. Now you see how rom its flash.
If you have error you must use downgrade pack from mm to lp and flash.
When its flash you must flash lp.
If you have error you must use downgrde pack from lp to kk and flash.
When its finish you must flash kk rom.
Now you back to rom after bootloop and you can try again flash rom what you want.
Finish guide for noob
Cheers :highfive:
Thanks for the guide. I want to restore to MM from kk using twrp? Is it possible? I only wait 5 minutes after restore reboot then I think something must be wrong so I restore my own backup. I will give a try again.
Sent from my HUAWEI MT7-L09 using XDA-Developers mobile app
No you can't do it you must first flash kk second lp and then you flash mm

Hi buddy, your guide is gold. I explain what i did up to now. I wanna know how to proceed safely.
1) 2 year old MT7-L09 Mate 7. Long time ago i go bootloader unlocked, rooted and updated to lollipop stock. dont know which firmware version.
2) TWRP 2.8.7.0. Wanted to factory reset after long time no using the phone, ended up wiping OS and god knows what else.
3) Can access fastboot and TWRP.
4) Tried stock recovery and 3 button method to downgrade or install stock update.app. Nothing worked it always got stuck at 90%.
Up to there nothing worked. I guess i must have damaged some critical files.
Then i found your guide and wanted to try making a lollipop restore from TWRP. Found a file.
Now, if i understood what you have written in red, i may have wiped oem information like country and vendor. Maybe thats because i cant install stock from huawei.
How can i restore that info? is there any way i can backup my bootloader info, or retrive my country and vendor info?
How do you suggest me to proceed safely.
Thanks
Sebastian

Im form Argentina. Phone was bought in US. I dont mind putting any country version as long as i can bring it back alive.
Luckily i have saved phone imei, serial number and id in evernote. Maybe that can help to figure it out.
Do you have a procedure or guide to do that you are suggesting?
if you have unlocked bootloader you can try use SRKToolHuawei-Lod-Chong-V2.0-20161002 to change oem info and then try flash correct your rom using dload method. But if you change region you must unlock again bootloader but when you go to fastboot you have unlocked. Unlock again because its locked
****** I DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY BRICKS/BOOT LOOPS/Mi LOGO BRICK. I AM SHARING THE STEPS THAT I HAVE USED AND YOU USE THESE STEPS AT YOUR OWN RISK ******
Use Android Image Kitchen to decompress and Recompress.
Unzip the whole Kitchen and ROM files through 7 Zip * mode.
Copy the "boot.img" to the Android Kitchen Unzipped Folder.
Follow the following steps:
Step 1. Decompress the boot.img file through Android Image Kitchen (unpackimg.bat)
Step 2. Open the file "fstab.qcom" via notepad / notepad++.
Step 3. Remove the ".verify" from it and save the file. Do not change the file extension. (Though it should not ask/or do). (This unlocks bootloader over server).
Step 4. Open default.prop via notepad / notepad++.
Step 5. Change "ro.secureboot.devicelock=1" to "ro.secureboot.devicelock=0" (This unlocks the bootloader).
- Additional Amendments if you want, like enabling adb, debug, etc, then do Step 6, else go to Step 7. STep 6 somehow seems to have some error on WiFi access. In case you do not want that, do not perform Step 6. a. and 6.b.,.
Step 6. Change:
a. "ro.secure=1" to "ro.secure=0"
b. "ro.adb.secure=1" to "ro.adb.secure=0"
These enable OEM Unlock over Server and over Developer mode.
c. "ro.debuggable=0" to "ro.debuggable=1".
This turns on USB Debug.
d. "persist.sys.usb.config=none" to "persist.sys.usb.config=adb"
This turns on ADB mode.
e. "persist.sys.timezone=Asia/Shanghai" to "persist.sys.timezone=Asia/XXX".
One can set the default locale from here. (This does not seem to work on Beta ROM's, as the server denies setting locale). (Though it should not ask/or do).
- Save the file. Do not change the file extension.
Step 7. Recompress these files back through repackimg.bat."
A new file "image-new.img" will be created. Rename the file to "boot.img" and replace the same to the unzipped folder of the ROM.
You now have a cooked/modded boot.img within the ROM, and your device is bootloader unlocked. Now Flash the ROM through MIFlash.
Also note: Rename the TWRP/Custom Recovery image to "recovery.img" and replace it with the Stock Recovery within the ROM. Now you have Custom Recovery ROM.
These steps take no more then 5-6 minutes, and are pretty easy.
Happy Flashing.
N.B.: I have attached the Android Kitchen File here.

Actually None. I mean not the official, nor the unofficial one.
I am on unlocked bootloader myself.
These are the steps I did to unlock my bootloader.
I have even rooted my RN3QC within 10 days from purchase.
I just wanted to unlock and have even custom TWRP 3.0.2-2.

Nope, I tried, and it went to bootloop once and second time to mi logo.
The easiest way to install the boot.img and the recovery.img are:
If you want TWRP to be your recovery and that too after flashing the ROM, I will ask you to replace the default recovery file within the unzipped ROM with the TWRP Recovery File. The default recovery path is within the images folder and called recovery.img.
Just rename the TWRP Recovery image file to recovery.img and replace it in images folder, and flash through MIFlash. Done.
And if you want to flash boot.img, then flash through TWRP. That is the easiest method.
Safe and no bricks.
N.B.: FYI: Few Stable ROM's have a verity check on even after official unlock. That just means that the server has not yet updated their unlock, and if it is not done manually, then it will remain locked on server.

Edit : does not work lol, was stuck on Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E mode, and couldn't get it to fasboot/edl mode. tried many different key combinations and and now finally got it fixed. so i guess it works only on RN3. now gotta wait for them to fix their db.

And for doing that you just flashed the fastboot tgz file in edl mode?
Btw, overall comment -> u mean to say .. using this process there is no need to replace/ flash the modded emmc_appsboot.mbn file?

Instructions to a full device backup:
1. Download the zip below and extract it to it's own folder
2. run cmd.exe while in fastboot mode and run the following commands:
3. Once twrp boots, run the backup.bat script included, it will backup all partitions on your device, including your efs.

For Users Looking to Flash to Firmware versions 9.0.4-9.0.5
FLASHING STEPS
Requirements:
1. Bootloader Unlocked T-Mobile OP 6T
Unlock Processs Can Be Found Here: https://support.oneplus.com/app/ans...-bootloader-for-oneplus-6t-(t-mobile-version)
2. OOS Stock ROM of your choice: all necessary zip files are included in the rom file.
3. PC/MAC/LINUX
Flashing Process
1.. Whichever full rom zip you choose, extract its contents. (In my case I used the 9.0.5 full zip)
2. In each zip file you'll find images.zip as well as others_flashall.zip, extract both of them into the same folder/directory as the rest of the original zip file.
(Optional, download the modded flash-all-partitions-fastboot.bat file at the end of the thread, it includes the reboot command to auto reboot when done flashing)
Attached Below is also a flash-all-partitions-fastboot.sh script for Mac OS users (Note this script will not wipe your device, so if you need to wipe, run the ./fastboot -w command in fastboot manually)
All bat files, images and adb files should all be in the exact same folder, no subfolder(s)
3. Now boot into fastboot using either the vol+/vol- and power key combo or via adb using the following adb command .
4. Once in fastboot run the bat file called flash-all-partitions-fastboot.bat
9
5. When asked, I would advise typing 'Y' for yes to format the device. (wipe only if you're converting for the first time)
The sparse header error is completely normal.
6. Upon completion, the script should pause and say press enter to continue, it will not reboot your device...
WAIT UNTIL NOTHING ELSE IS HAPPENING AND ITS NO LONGER FLASHING ANY FILES
At this point, hit power and reboot.
All done!

Root is available via two Options below:
- OnePlus Rooter

Automated Process
Luckily There are devs looking to make things simpler:
More an automated tool to carry out this process, go to the thread below:

WARNINGS!
-Advisable you disable automatic updates in developer options upon boot if it is enabled.
-Do not attempt to update using the OTA files, so far we've had one softbrick due to it and said user was unable to boot into fastboot to attempt any kind of recovery.
-ALSO DO NOT FLASH WITHOUT THE FILES IN THE FOLDER, IF YOU DO YOU WILL END UP WITH A SOFTBRICK
-If you get either dump mode or fastboot bootloop check your downloaded rom file to make sure its complete, unzip again and flash again
FAQ
Q. Will this enable dual sim functionality?
A. Dual sim functionality works, volte, Wifi calling and vvm.
Q. Can I take OTA's like a regular device?
A. No, sadly.
Q. What about when a new update comes out?
A. Once a fastboot flashable ROM is made, you can update using the steps above, using the new ROM files.
Q. What if I brick or have a HW/SW mismatch?
A. Use the MSMDownloadTool to recover.
Q. Do all the features work?
A. For the most part, there are minor bugs, but they aren't consistent, so can't really say.
Q. Is this a full conversion?
A. Somewhat.
Q. Do I have to wipe everytime I update?
A. No, wiping may only be necessary for conversions, no wipe needed to update.
Q. Do I have to root everytime I update?
A. Yup, sadly.
Q. Do I have to convert to a specific version?
A. Nope, you can convert to any version.
if any edits are suggested, I'll include them.

I would follow this guide. Than choose Y when asked to wipe data. If you want to choose N let me know how it goes. But the easiest way is going to be to start from fresh using this guide by @Darknightmare.

Hey dude,
i searched a bit for the correct OEMinfo file to convert
your phone from L21 to L31 version, but your CUST (C185) seem
to be non-existent at the moment...
Sincerely i never seen anyone doing this kind of conversion, but it may work...
Under your responsibility and my guide, you could try to convert it to the European CUST (C432).
If i'm correct, your device is running android 7 and it is single sim, can you confirm this ?
So, if you agree and will not point your finger at me (for a bad scenario), i can tell you how do this.
Cheers

Dude you have to use a custom recovery (TWRP)
to be able to flash a different oeminfo file
and the appropriate firmware.
So you need to unlock your bootloader first.
When you done this come back for the files and the guide...
The European no brand firmware will not lock any sim
and i'm pretty sure your sim will continue to normally work,
but it's your choice, you can ever keep your device as it is...
Cheers

Dude,
you have to not worry about twrp, firmware and oeminfo...
i can provide you those files.
Remove all safeties (pin / pattern / fingerprints),
possibly do a backup of your most important files
as unlocking the bootloader will factory reset your device.
When you're ready I will tell you which files and the guide to convert ...
Cheers

Dude sorry for answering you late,
i'm little busy atm.
THIS is Hassan's 3.1.1-1 recovery, your TWRP;
Your dualSIMC432OEMinfo.zip file;
This is HuRUpdater04 script (zip) file;
The Firmware (latest VNS-L31C432B418),
they are three files;
1 - update .zip;
2 - update_data_full_public .zip;
3 - update_full_VNS-L31_hw_eu .zip;
Let file 1 the same name,
rename file 2 from update_data_full_public TO update_data_public,
rename file 3 from update_full_VNS-L31_hw_eu TO update_all_hw.
Names must mandatory match the ones I wrote, otherwise it won't work.
This is the procedure:
Use your PC, make a folder and rename it L31C432B418.
Copy files 1-2-3 (renamed) and HuRUpdater04.zip file into that folder.
(if you want you can keep the TWRP copying the .img file into that folder too).
Copy the folder into the SD.
Copy the OEMinfo file wherever you want into the SD.
Put the SD into the device...
Reboot into recovery and format DATA
(wipe>advanced wipe>tick data and tap format in the bottom right> type 'yes').
Reboot again recovery and wipe everything except SD
(wipe>advanced wipe>tick everything except sd).
Go in main menu, tap install, find and select OEMinfo file, let it flash...
When finished go in main menu and select REBOOT then Bootloader.
Once booted, connect the phone to your PC and
unlock again the bootloader. (quickly disconnect it from PC)
Device should automatically reboot into the recovery otherwise you can do
holding vol + and power button.
Now tap install, find your L31C432B418 folder,
select (only) HuRUpdater04.zip file and let it flash...
Your device should reboot into the system correctly,
if not (if passes over 15 mins) reboot into the e-recovery and
do a factory reset + wipe cache.
Done !!
i did what you told me using this method https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...ite-upgrade-rebrand-tools-pc-t3778839,ulocked boot loader installed TWRP recovery than used oem info for L31C432 and i download last full ota firmwire for it !!worked fine
