Galaxy S II in India - shipped!!

Hi guys,
The availability and pricing in India for S II was announced and put up simultaneously for pre-order in collaboration with Samsung India on letsbuy.com on the 25th of May with ETA as 9th June.
While I was late to the party by around 10hrs, I placed the order straightway without a moment's delay. The offer was a great bargain as well, compared to the prices around the world. This is what I got:
Samsung Galaxy S II (with NFC chip confirmed!!)
MHL Adapter
Car Charger
Official Flip Case
Molife Fit to use case (??)
Screen Protector
And all of the above for just $725 or Rs32,830 in Indian currency!!!
But what has me jumping up and down right now with joy is that I just received an email from the letsbuy.com guys stating that my order has been shipped, tracking info et all...!! Should be on the doorstep by Monday morning... the wait is just killing me now.
So how many guys on the same boat as me?

Nopes, not a mistake. It's just that they now have more orders than the units they are going to receive.
The guys who were the first to pre-order had the Desktop Dock as a free gift along with the MHL adapter, Car Charger and Screen Protector. The response was obviously overwhelming and the pre-order page was put down and came up again after a few hrs. That is when I came to know about the pre-order and booked one for myself. The Dock had been removed though and replaced with a Molife Case.
The ETA was 9th June and now obviously the orders have been exhausted again and the ETA has been changed to a tentative 2nd week of June and the car charger has been replaced with a bluetooth headset.
So basically, not a mistake on their part. Gotta wait till Monday and see what comes in the parcel !!

I too have got an SMS and Email along with Tracking nos.
I hope they actually send the phone. Can't wait for Monday to come

Anyone was able to track their Docket No on Bluedart website?

Its probably too early to track. Maybe till tomorrow afternoon/evening it might get updated.
Anyways I wish they give the Dock instead of Molife case. I already bought this sexy looking official red case!

I think Monday is a sure shot date,my dealer has already confirmed regarding Monday availability,i will get it Monday itself

who ever is getting the beast on monday..please test te quality of the audio for the rest of us. am little worried about the negative talk on the audio quality in xda threads

Looks like you haven't been following all the latest action. There apparently is not much that can be done, the flaw is in the hardware and the design.
It's been confirmed that there won't be Voodoo for the GS2

According to other threads on this forums, this is supposedly a fake and not a genuine item. The 'S' in the original has a different font... chances are they do come out of the same factory though and are of identical quality.
And yeah... it's just a voucher on the way with at least another two weeks wait. Major bummer!!

I ordered one (32 GB wifi white--the only one left in stock when I ordered) and it'll be to me on Monday. I'm very cautiously optimistic because I've heard a lot about the issues it has had over the past year, but for the price point I figure it's worth trying. I can always return it if it doesn't work out.

For that price you can't go wrong. I love mine. I got my 32 gb lte for 200.00 bucks on Craigslist. I think most of the people complaining about them paid full retail. I'd grumble too if I paid 600 bucks for any tablet.

I've had mine for about three weeks. Also got the white because that was all that was available at the time. This tablet has been great. I like it more than the Nexus 7. I haven't seen a single issue and battery life is great.

Ordered two 32GB white ones (only ones in stock...) in the sale and got them yesterday. Both are 27 Oct, 2014 manufacture dates and have very recessed buttons, the easily depressed back shell, and a decent amount of light bleed. Planning to call Google after work today and see if I can swap them. The buttons are my biggest annoyance so far.

I ordered the 32gb white version during the sale. I'll have it sometime tomorrow.

I received the Nexus 9 today I ordered on November 25 on HTC's Black Frday offer to replace my Nexus 10 which is struggling with battery life. It was built on 11-13-2015 (HT5BD). It came with Marshmallow's 6.0 Build number MRA58N, and immediately after the first boot it installed the November 1, 2015 security patch. I just completed unlocking, installing TWRP, and rooting with the modified boot image and Chainfire's BetaSU. I chose the traditional root versus the systemless root as last week I soft bricked my Nexus 6P when I tried rooting with systemless root (also ended up with the traditional root on the 6P). I have not noticed the light bleed on the Nexus 9 that apparently at least original users noted. Also, it will take a while to get used to the buttons as they are almost flush with the case and are very stiff.

I received mine today too from HTC (white 32) with a build date of Apr 15, 2015. Been crashing quite a bit doing system updates and the volume rocker is super mushy; hell, after pressing it to vol up, it doesn't always pop back up. Build quality seems much worse than my partner's N9 that was bought last year.

Just received mine. Holy hell that is quite a lot of incremental OTA updates. Been updating/rebooting for the last two hours.

Yeah mine did that when I first got it. Just be patient. It will eventually get through them all. Just keep it plugged in.

Got a sand one to test if it was any better than my replacement from BB with a Jan 15 build date. Unfortunately got older stock which was still on 5.0 out of the box, bad light bleeding as well, worse than the small amount on my current black one. So sand ones are not perfect either as people have suggested. Trying out a tab s2 right now and waiting for the pixel c to drop...

I'm wondering if I should try another nexus, I really love the feel and look of it but I too may have to wait for the Pixel C release. My Nexus 9 died while updating to M and I'm scared to get into the return madness I experienced while in search of a perfect Nexus 10. The bad part is I already ordered a dbrand skin for it before the tablet was delivered.

Thanks. After many updates it's now on Marshmallow. Installed TWRP, SuperSU, and added ElementalX kernel. Totally sweet tablet for $200. No complaints so far.

Received mine from the google store, these things are old, more than 1 yr old.
screen is OK, light bleed is not bad at all, buttons are not clicky but oh well, for 199, what can I expect. Still using my N10, I gave the N9 to the wife (after root, debloat).
Free RAM is 840mb- .89GB on 5.1.1, good enough for browsing and FB.
The thing is very very fast, no launcher refresh at all (with Nova) Battery life is good too.

@wayne710 I though marshmallow was a dev. preview? My n9 came with LRX21R and I switched to cm12 the day i got it so I don't know what updates became public. Still waiting till the whole systemless root becomes more stable(and easier to use) on mm.

Nope. After receiving mine I had multiple OTA updates and ended up with Marshmallow. Then I flashed TWRP and rooted.

Google Pixel Australia Thread

Thought I'd start a thread for the Aussie users...

That's me! Still haven't got the ota for 7.1.1 for mine yet. Don't know if it's got something to do with Telstra or not, though I bought mine outright, not on a contract.
Pretty lazy of me wanting the ota rather than just flashing it myself...... Can't even both rooting these days, I've been finding stock android so user friendly as it is.

I can't be bothered rooting either...happy to wait for OTA :good:

1 question! How's the shipping speed for **** smith purhases to melbourne? It's 999 aud for 32gb.

DSE is now owned by Kogan...The web side anyway as the shops have been shut so best bet would be to check with them as it would also depend where it was shipping from.

Got the 7.1.1 OTA update today...

One thing to check with this stuff are the bands that the phone can use. I've often looked at stuff from Kogan, only to find in little writing somewhere that it's an international model and it's bands may differ from those in Aus, and to check it out. Always turns me off the idea...

Do you Australian folks have to run your screen 180 degrees to read upside down?

pixel has all worldwide bands iirc but yea, previous nexus models had varying band options depending on US vs Row.
got it from jb hifi instead. how does the google warranty work for Aussie models? The customer rep said 1st year is from google and 2nd year is jb hifi.

Got my 32gb silver pixel from JB Hi-Fi here in Perth for $1000, they have some promotion happening as well.. If you buy any pixel phone, you'll get daydream vr for free with it.

My Google Pixel XL was bought from JB Hi-Fi Perth but I lost the purchased receipt. Does the Google 1-year warranty still cover if anything happens with the phone?

Verizon pixel on backorder til 1/17

I made a mistake and didn't research both variants. Ended up getting the XL. Went online to do an exchange to the pixel 2 and was told on backorder. Only place that has them is best buy and there dwindling

Glad I bought mine on the 29th as soon as I heard about the bootloader unlock method. Got it delivered the next day.

Mine was ordered last night 1/1... Let's see if I've started the new year off right. I would say, as long VZW hasn't 'updated' the system should be able to unlock it

There on backorder so Verizon can patch up the bootloader. Wouldn't surprise me at all if that's the real reason.

Just got mine early. It's possible because I ordered 2, one kinda blue and the other black, they yanked an 'extra' off the shelf. Either way, unlocked and ready to roll!

The first person I seen on any website said they bought there's from Bestbuy so that not the problem really I think it's no infrastructure to push to many people at once.

I think they might have stopped it I don't c anyone saying recently that they received it seems like all companies r having problems Samsung,one plus.

Bought mine (unlocked L29) from Best Buy 10 months ago, yet, no Oreo update for me.

Bought mine at BB last fall. Received my 8.0 update. last night.
