it is common in all Note4 snapdragon variants...it is due to many reasons.....CPU and GPU throttling......may be Snapdragon 805 and adreno 420 couldn't perform well in QuadHD with more pixels which is 515ppi...Thats huge.... For our day to day activities like surfing gaming, 1080p is more than enough....Generally QuadHD is considered as a flagship killer

It's only on snapdaragon varinat, at exynos no lags or it's smaller? Simply snapdragon has faster RAM and if it has lags, exynos must have bigger lags...

[Q] galaxy note 4 snapdragon gaming performance not that good?

I am considering buying the note 4 snapdragon version.. I currently have the s6... but I have seen some videos and the heavy games seem to lag: modern combat 5 and real racing for example.... Have updates solve this problem or performance is not that great on the snapdragon note 4?

Doesn't the S6 come out on April 10th?Also Exynos and Snapdragon are both good...maybe the Exynos has somewhat higher frames and if you are about that then go with the Exynos variant.
lol i meant s5 sorry lol
Hi, I have the Note 4 910F, the snapdragon version, and Real Racing 3 runs perfectly on it. No lag, no overheat. The Exynos version has more temperature range between start and máximum performance where at this point is higher than the snapdragon versión.
For the rest there's no differences you could appreciate.
Greetings.

i have note 4 n910f with snapdragon it heats soo much i cant even hold it for a wile
Mine's goes perfectly smooth and it's stock version. Something goes wrong on yours.

Really? Your W8 that bad?
Should run great. Have run that game and other high demand games on both stock and rooted/rom'd.
TW is brutal, yes but on this beast it's actually "manageable" and runs everything just fine. Maybe it's something else in background holding yours back?
Currently still using my Note 4 as my daily but may switch back to my Nexus 6 now that LP 5.1 has been pushed out.
i have 910G with snap.. I played games and benchmarks . I don't see any heat on it.
if some one have heat wipe his phone
Not that good?? Lol have a look at the score I got on Antutu for 3D Graphics. The Exynos Version can't touch that ;D. So for gaming get the snapdragon Version.
And for CPU stuff get the Exynos Version.

^ have to agree. The Snapdragon version and it's GPU can hold its own and should work more then fine

I am using the n910w8 and I do not experience any lag while gaming.
n910f no lag wile playing real racing 3 but the game has bad grafic no antilaizing
does that mean all videos on youtube are fake? cuz the heavy games really lag on the snapdragon version
On mine 910F, stock 5.0.1 (Snapdragon), not rooted, Real Racing 3 and also many games lags terribly. Tried factory reset, won´t help...but for example Subway Surfer runs great even for a long time...don´t know what´s the problem.

[Performance Question] Is the I9506 the fastest snapdragon 800 smartphone?

Greetings.
I'm thinking of buying a new phone and it's either LG G2 or I9506 (It's S4 with 4G and snapdragon 800).
And from various benchmarks, futuremark's slingshot as an example, it beats even S5 and any 800 snapdragon device.
Is it really that fast in real life performance? I know that Samsung is cheating on bechmarks by overclocking CPU/GPU while benchmark is running.
So how does the I9506 perform in real life? How does it handle games?
I watched videos of LG G2 running games with FPS meter on and Asphalt 8 dropped below 30 constantly at max settings.
This is the video: https://youtu.be/2IOvC5NUng4?t=4m38s
It's been 1 year since the video so the game might have been optimized for quad cores since Gameloft is known to port games to android from iOS, so that means they don't use more than 2 cores. This was also present with GTA games.
Could anyone install an FPS meter and do an Asphalt 8 benchmark on their phone and compare if it runs better?
I'd be really grateful since this is going to be a huge purchase for me.

Somebody posted a similar question and posted benchmark examples that were done on android 4.2.
I played Asphalt 8 on my S4 GT-I9505. Seemed to run pretty smooth. And that was when underclocked to 1.2 GHz.
Samsung cheated on the GT-I9500 version. Benchmark apps used all cores instead of just 4. An app can;'t overclock without root permissions.

Help me to decide a nice phone note 3 or note 4???

Hey guys, now i'm using s3 i9300....i fed up with s3 due to battery life and shortage of ram ( I heavily debloated the stock rom...still no enough ram )... i want to buy a note device with stylus...i like both note 3 and note 4...I'm from India...so if I buy a note 4 l'll get snapdragon version (N910G) which would suffer badly in gaming performance:crying: ( yes I have seen lags in my friend's note 4 while Gaming )...I'm a heavy user ...I'm thinking of buying note 3 obviously Exynos version(N900) which is Indian Variant....so... Do you guys think It is wise to buy Note 3 in the end of 2015 (December)...I would like to use it for atleast 2 yrs....for me stylus pen is a must...Note 3 or Note 4 ??.....you can even suggest smartphones without s pen also??
Note 3 but not Exynos version .
Get the Note 4 man. Note 3 isn't worth it if you are planning to use a phone for 2 years. I would also get the variant which has better XDA support, if that's SD then SD, if Exynos then Exynos.

yep i can buy note 4 but i play some heavy games and some intense browsing, streaming but snapdragon version of note 4 (N910G- indian variant) lags heavily while playing intense games like asphalt 8 ,mc5, nova 3.....if there is no above issues in note 4...i would have bought it....these above issues made me to worry
note 3 exynos variant would not be better for gaming than snapdragon variant of note 4 in any case
adreno 420 in note 4 can manage about 3-5 fps extra than mali 628 even at quad hd resolution
Plus you would also benefit from faster internal storage and future updates
also adreno 420 can support many extra graphic features than mali 628 to say in simple words
I have used note 4 for gaming and there were no such issues in gaming
gaming in note 3 is good but there are many more options at this price range which are much better gaming opitons

firstly i cannot recommend note 3 for the simple fact that it would no longer receive any software support from samsung. Also raw multitasking(not multi window) like opening and switching between apps is very poor compared to nexus devices. Gaming is good but not great on note 3.I doubt it will be able to play new titles smoothly.
I am a hardcore mobile gamer and I can say that if you want a quad hd device that is good for gaming(good and consistent fps) then you should look at a good snapdragon 810 device , or exynos 7420. No other chipset will give you good gaming performance at quad hd.
other devices that you could look at would be oneplus 2, s6, nexus 5x,6p

Gaming Performance in Note 4 Snapdragon version???

Hello guys, I'm thinking of buying note 4 (N910G-Indian variant) Snapdragon version....i want to know how is the gaming performance of note 4 snapdragon version...I like Note 4 but i have seen many threads in our forum regarding the poor gaming performance of note 4 snapdragon version...Is that true??...Some of them also reported that N4 is overheating after that games started to lag because of Gpu or Cpu throttling...I'm Worried/confused whether to buy note 4 or not...Help me out:crying::crying:

Note 4 user here. It does lag a lot in games, gpu down clocks to 240 Mhz 5 min into gaming, runs at 300 Mhz while idle not touching the screen and 600 Mhz for 2 sec. when minimize the game and re open it but like I said for 2 sec. The performance of these phones on graphical games are just bad don't let anyone convince you it's good. You will thank me, go to a store and try it your self and download cpuz to monitor the clock speeds.
better buy a Exynos ver. I got it for year and games runs well
What games lag it down? I would like to see if I can get my snapdragon 910t to lag as I have never seen it on games such as summoners war.
Have used FireKat rom almost exclusively with DVFS disabled. Have never had any lag or overheating issues even when plugged in to the wall.

Yeah, I'd recommend the Exynos variant too. As it much more stable than the Snapdragon variant.

It's not that the Snapdragon 805 doesn't perform as well as the Exynos 5433 SOC. They both are excellent performing SOCs. It's just that the Snapdragon 805 has a bad habit of overheating very easily, which is a common problem among Qualcomm's Snapdragon series of SOCs.

OK thanks guys but is real that adreno is better than mali gpu in gaming? Does the exynos lag with heavy games? And what about rom support? Do u think the exynos will ever get a stable nougat with working fingerprint and irblaster?
go snapdragon if you gonna treat the phone as a glorified psp.. Go Exynos if you want cpu power with economy.. cant get it all...

I've been happily using the Snapdragon 805 variant since launch week and it runs just fine. Battery is great, I get around 6.5h SOT if I do try push it (usually going to bed by the time it hits 4h).
Both variants are great, and you should have a similar experience on both on Android 6.0.1.

Exynos plays games like iPhone. See YouTube videos of Real Racing 3 & Nova 3 on N4 Exynos, N4 Spapdragon and then iPhone 6s.
That'll show you the difference right there.
My Exynos is super smooth and does not overheat ever + gets 7 hour screen on time
What more can you ask for?

The Mali T-760MP6 is a excellent GPU and will run any game you throw it's way like nothing. While the Adreno maybe slightly better. The Mali T-760 isn't a slouch in the gaming department either. I use my N910C for gaming all the time and I can literally play any game I want on it. Even République, which is quite a heavy 3D intensive game and my N910C runs it like it was nothing!

ROM Support seems good.
Check out the Exynos Development Section
Snapdragon for gaming, media, and vr. Exynos for multitasking and background processing. From what I've read, both are fairly comparable but exynos may have better chance of seeing nougat update since it's more widely used internationally.
Actually, I have used both of them.
The Exynos wins, at least in terms of a battery life (+30 min of SoT compared to the SnapDragon) and earbuds sound quality. Moreover, it heats up less than the Snap.
the n910c seems to be better in every aspect
Guys I had the snapdragon variant and I just got the exynos model now... Huge difference! The exynos hands down wins! By far better...

Lol I have 2 phone right now i i say that exinos in way back after snapdragon. Snap is better in every way. More powerfull cpu, ram., all test win snapdragon
Actually if you care about performance, go with snapdragon, but if you use it as daily phone and you concern about battery life, heating problem then exynos. BTW, exynos on galaxy note 4 has 64 bit processor, which means, it is a newer version of processor!!
