Does anyone with a 6p on sprint know how to set the band priority? I dial *#*#3282#*#* and it opens the data menu. I tap LTE, then edit, enter my MSL, but band priority is not in the menu. But if I tap view instead of edit (which doesn't require the MSL) I can see band priority in the menu. Does anyone know what the deal is with that?

Chat with sprint rep online. I just told them I had a weak LTE signal and I need MSL to change band priority. But seems as though you can't edit band priority on this phone. Sucks because sprint band 25 and 26 have terrible speeds in Philadelphia. Band 41 I can get between 25 and 60Mbps

Does anyone know how to unlock and change the carrier provisioning for the HTC Shift? I have a Shift without Sprint service and would like to use it on another carrier. Is there a PST for the Shift?

You can use this program, but runs in Windows Mobile, I ran it on my HTC Mogul, you have to put the ESN (hex) of your shift and press the button, then you get the SPC Code.
http://www.rafaelc.net/files/GetSPC.zip
But the EPST of the Shift only enables you to change the MDN and MSIL, not the PRL or another data
Here is all the info I have on sprint:
554181 activation password(this worked for getting into Activation and EPST)
909387 one time password(didnt work for me)
enter programming mode ##3282#(EPST Advanced)
Hard Reset for Radio
##786#
Hopefully this will help you get somewhere with verizon or whoever.
G
Thanks, the advanced EPST works (I have anoter SPC Code but I used the GetSPC program), I changed all the configuration that I need (as I did with my Mogul)
Now I'm connected with Iusacell, my carrier in Mexico

excellent, curious how you were able to change the roaming list to go to your towers instead of looking for the sprint towers?

My local carrier gave me a PRL file for my location
I've searched and read some good threads, but I failed to find THE ATT Baseband thread.
My goal is to confirm/discuss any concerns in regards to issues using different basebands for use on the ATT (AT&T) network here in the USA.
With different ROMs requiring different basebands, I was a little scared to try them. As an example, I am excited to try Trip's new gingerbread ROM once it is polished up, but it appears this will require a different baseband than what I use.
I've been sticking with 54 x10a version.
For listing of basebands, see rendeiro2005 's thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=11471868#post11471868
Baseband Compatibility/Performance Listing when used on ATT Network:
46 Baseband
-
49 (X10i) Baseband
-
54 (X10a) Baseband
-works well with ATT 3g / 3.5g network
55 (X10a) Baseband
-
54 (X10i) Baseband
-
54 (X10i_v02) Baseband
-
I personally prefer that my phone automatically picks up the APN/medianet settings etc without having to input them manually. Although referenced many places already, I will go ahead and list this information here to.
I found Bama1965 's thread useful. Also depending on the ROM you use, you can go to the top of the Settings page, it says "Sony Ericsson" - select that, and it will automatically download the settings based on the SIM card.
To configure Internet settings manually:
1. From the Home screen, find and tap Settings.
2. Tap Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Access Point Names.
3. Press the Menu key (bottom left button with four squares above it).
4. Tap New APN.
5. Tap Name and tap the Name text bar to enter the name of the network profile you want to create. Tap OK.
6. Tap APN and tap the APN text bar to enter the access point name. Tap OK.
7. Tap and enter all other information required by your network operator.
8. Press the Menu key and tap Save.
Type in these settings (thanks Tony_C):
<name> AT&T
<apn> wap.cingular
<proxy> wireless.cingular.com
<port> 80
<username> not set
<password> not set
<server> not set
<mmsc> http://mmsc.cingular.com
<mms proxy> wireless.cingular.com
<mms port> 80
<mcc> 310
<mnc> 410
<apn type> not set
Note: "not set" means you input nothing - leave as is.
Once you complete the process you will more than likely see an "H" in place of the "3g". 3G icon indicates that Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) 3G service is available in the area. H icon indicates that Highspeed Downlink Packet Access (HSPDA) 3.5G service is available in the area.
So basically the "H" indicates 3.5g.

Does anybody know if att is going to be updating to true 4g or are they upping the speed of their 3.5g connection or what? They are claiming 4g but if they are just upping what they have, will we get a speed boost from this "upgrade" ?

X10 doesn't have the hardware to support 4G bands afaik
Sent from my X10 ARC
the basebands are separated by version #, but i don't believe theres actually "i" vs "a" basebands, just roms.
i can report that flashing the .55 baseband w/ the latest .06 rom from rogers(x10a) gave me radio/cell, but i could not gain 3g/data/input apn.
the .55 baseband however worked just fine w/ the latest .06 generic/chek/hungary rom(x10i) as that rom doesn't have the auto-download internet settings removed from the "settings/sony ericsson" menu the way rogers does.
i would say my average connection on my x10 is between 2mb-3mb down and 1mb up. my torrent transfers have an average xfer rate of 200k-300k w bursts of 550s (5.5mb) but have gone as high 1050k.. thats 3g xfer rates.
my phone displays an "H" connection for 3g connectivity.
i'm in the socal area.

now, if i switch my phone to "2g/edge only" i still get 1mb up and between 0.7-1mb down.
I have unlocked my US Cellular SM-N900R4 on Lilipop, and am now trying to get it working on T-mobile. After the local USC store unlocked it, I added an APN editor from the Playstore, and now have the data working for the LTE connection. The problem that i am having is that it gives a 'no Sim or Sim Error' when trying to place calls, probably due to the network setting not allowing me to select GSM / LTE network option. The only 2 options for network selection LET / CDMA or CDMA.
The following thread was for unlocking a Sprint G2 for Tmobile, but gave some good info but the apps just wornt work on my Note 3 on lilipop.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729370
The radio switcher app crashes, as well as the other ones that i saw on the PlayStore, so i cant select a GSM option
I was able to install an APN app to get the data working, so now i just need to get the voice / calls working. I was able to install the Rom Toolbox Lite app from the store, but there is no
ro.carrier=???
ro.build.target_operator=???
available from the build properties. Instead there are CDMA operator values for US Cellular and the 310??? value for US Celllar. Should i change this value to 'None'? IF so, what is the decimal value for the 'None' carrier option?
Can anyone give me some suggestions? are these apps specific to the Sprint G2 or to the android version? Is there a custom rom that might enable these settings?
Thanks in advance for any assistance or re-direction to information on the subject.
Suggestion would be to use the Sprint forums .
I am coming from a Moto X Pure and just swapped the sim card. I have read the different preferred settings that some people have success with but I have not had complete success. Some settings I'll get 4g data and can text but cannot place calls. I can swap a few things and place calls but I'll lose 4g. I need to go to the store tomorrow and enable the HD voice calls but would like to see if I can get the rest working myself.
Info I need.
Data roaming n/off
Preferred network mode:
Enhanced 4g: on/off
System select :home only/automatic
CDMA subscription ruim/sim or nv
Apn Verizoninternet: on/off

That's interesting, when I went from my Nexus 6P -> Essential -> LG G6; I never had a connectivity issue.
1. Data roaming n/off?
What do you want.
2. Preferred network mode:
CDMA/LTE
3. Enhanced 4g: on/off
On
4. System select :home only/automatic
What do you want? I use Home
5. CDMA subscription ruim/sim or nv
?
6. Apn Verizoninternet: on/off
This should be VZWINTERNET
But once again, I never had to manually set anything related to APN or CDMA subscription
Which cdma/lte though? CDMA + LTE/EvDo?
Do you not the cdma subscription option? If you do just need to know which one to use.
Can you give the specifics for the Verizon apn? Just through the whole list if possible.
I have the same issue as op. I bought mine used not knowing it was from Sprint. I'm using straight talk with Verizon. Messing with different settings I can get text and data, or calls, but not both. Doesn't make any sense...

I was recently on the LOS ROM and saw that there is an APN for straight talk, you may want to try that too see if that will allow for both cdma + LTE.
With some help from @houstonironman I think I have got it working completely.
Copy/paste from info he sent me.
I don't think I ever got HD working, that I can tell anyway. How do you know? I have my network set to CMDA/LTE. I also went to *#*#4636#*#* from the dial pad and under phone info selected LTE/CMDA auto. Somewhere in those settings I found radio settings and I toggled from United States, to Europe, then back to United States.
Final settings
Preferred Network:CDMA + LTE/EVDO
Enhanced 4g: On. Side note call Verizon and make sure you have HD calling enabled on account. It's free.
System Select: home only
CDMA subscription:RUIM/SIM
Access Point Names:
Name:Verizon
APN:VZWINTERNET
Proxy:not set

Username:not set

The apn settings filled themselves in after toggling from US to EU and back to US.

I am on Oreo beta 1 and have visual voicemail working in the stock phone app and NFL has work since I installed it. When I first did the oreo beta the voicemail did not work. One day last week I hit the voicemail tab in the phone app by accident and it asked if I accepted Verizon's terms for voicemail activation. It has worked since then. The NFL stream has worked the whole time. I did install the My Verizon app and log into it before using the NFL app.

My has
It's the 2G/3G/4G version, so I make phone calls from it as well on 2G/3G,
unfortunately no support for VoLTE on 4G
So I do have a dial pad as well .....that is what I love about Samsung tablets, support for Voice and I think Video as well.
I don't know why you can't use theses.
##brand# or ##data#
You don't call out the options just open the menus.
Sprint s20 ultra (Android 11) here...
##brand# resets your cellular settings nothing more.
##data# allows to access to your network settings.
