Hello guys, i recently bought S5 G900f with box/booklets etc all has written G900f and even G900f is written near battery, but in bootloader and baseband, the version is showing g900t, so please tell me how do i flash g900f firmware? Because i think g900f firmware will not accepted by current bootloader and modem from g900t. Strange thing is this device is indeed g900f with imei matched box of g900f. So will flashing of g900f firmware result in permanent hard brick? And will it be accepted by odin? Please help me resolve.
Probably you bought a refurbished one.This happens all the time .Put the imei on imei..info and check your real model number.

I did try, but odin show me fail. nowadays is it need to match the model number and the ROM? like G900I only can flash G900I Rom?

I have samsung Galaxy S5 and i want to change its firmware. the problem is that its bootloader is locked and it is G900P similar to sprint and its CSV is verizon VZW and its model is G900F so i am confused what bootloader i have to installed and which stable firmware i should flash on it?

since the day i got my phone there is a g900p bootloader and modem running.
im from tunisia and the network is opened BUT 4G NOT WORKING ONLY 3G AND H+
i wanna flash stock 6.0.1 and im fear if the network will be locked (sim locked)
please can we help me

Boot into download mode and check which model it says at the top, that is the correct model
All other model numbers can be faked

Actually, you have a SPH-720T with GT-I9505 firmware.
The info in "about phone" can be changed very easy. You can make it show that your phone is an S8, or that it is running iOS. So don't believe whatever is written there, or on stickers under the battery or on the box. Stickers can be replaced, boxes can be changed.
Download mode, on the other hand, doesn't lie. If download mode says it's an SPH-720T, then it's a SPH-720T. End of discussion.
And the reason why the flashing failed was because you tried to flash the wrong firmware. As I said above, it's a SPH-720T and you were trying to flash GT-I9505 firmware.
I bought a Korean galaxy s8 with a UAE firmware. Download mode is showing SM-G950N while the firmware in the about section is SM-G950FD. Is there a way I can switch completely to the global firmware? Need help urgently, my phone heats up easily and software update is missing in settings.
