[Q] Model number is 9507?

I have just gotten my new S4 and want to put on a custom rom to bring it up to 4.3 as it currently has 4.2.2. But I am apprehensive because it has a model number of i9507. Therefore, two questions:
1) Is this an issue?
2) Is there a rom out there that gives me the look of stock but the functions of Touchwiz (I like the Air Gestures/Smart Stay/Dual Shot etc).
Additional info if it will help,
Handset is from Optus Australia and is referred to as "4G+" by Optus.
And I have searched here to no avail, although similar questions were asked.
Thanks.
Really?
No one on here's familiar with this variant?
Although saying that, even a Google search doesn't give me much information either.
Is it the dualSIM Version?

[Q] 9006v Any hope for a ROM?

There are roms now for the F versions, the H version, and even the 8w version. Any hope out there for the 9006v version? I have seen multiple roms on Chinese sites / etc, but nothing I have found yet will give an "English default" type of software. The Chinese version is missing data files for English in the S-Voice and other minor things over and over I keep running into small things. I have rooted / recovery flashed / etc, but haven't found a ROM worth trying. Is there something making the 9006v harder to do than the 9008w version? Is there anyone even attempting such a thing? The 9006v reports as a TD-LTE version if that helps determine what can/can't be used... I know that it is all possible, because I see roms on Chinese sites that i'm sure are rips/mods of roms here, but I want the default experience of an S5, but "English"....
Anything out there, anyone working on this? Any hope? Should I just sell the phone next time I'm back in China and give up for something else that actually has a ROM on here? I needed a phone that would work good there and here in the USA, and this phone i working fine for H+ (no lte, but that was expected, and i already have a phone here if i "really" need that).
Hell, I'd be happy for just an English version of a recovery... the one I have now I have to use another phone's camera to translate just to hope i get the right options in the menu...

You bought an Asian market only phone, so what did you expect? And if Samsung is to be believed it isn't really an S5. Or to put it another way, Samsung lied about there being no forthcoming "S5 Prime" to boost early sales on of the original S5. And to save face in the midst of the anger and outrage when their deception was revealed, claimed it to be a Korean market only phone which is now on it's own firmware path.
The net result of that is to make it something of an orphan. There is little reason to believe that you will ever see a large assortment of custom ROMs a la the 900F or other mainstream S5 variants. More likely you will see a 900H type scenario where it is something of an orphan and very little ever becomes available. Look for the 9006v support thread in the forum which talks about what has been done with the model to date. You can root it and I think that there were one or two semi-custom Chinese ROMs the last time that I looked.

[Q] Different device types?

Was looking at the unified rom section to see if it's worth to go ahead and root my phone as I've held off. Got really lost quickly with all these abbreviations. kltexx, kltelra, kltetmo, kltecan, klteatt, klteub, klte acg, kltedcm, klte. So many. I know mine is kltetmo as I have a TMO S5. Does that limit my rom choices to ONLY kltetmo or would i be able to flash a klte build? I know i wouldn't want to flash a klteatt and such but what about just klte?
thanks!
the same as that question. How can everyone help me?
How can i distinguish kltexx,kltelra,kltetmo,kltecan,klteatt,klteub,klte acg,kltedcm,klte?????
You can use klte ROMs on your T-mobile which is international LTE (900F) since both are GSM.
Can anyone help me with my model s5(SM-G900R7) are there any roms out that I can flash I'm kinda new to this

SM-S820L compatible ROM?

I have come to understand there is very little support for the SM-S820L when looking for a custom ROM. Is there any ROM for a different model that would work on this device and not cause an error? Or is there any way to modify a ROM for a different model so it will work with the SM-S820L?
Im wondering about this too,i also have to SM-820L and havent been able to find notthing on it

SM-P585 : Flashing firmware from a different variant

I could not wait for the SM-P585 to become available in the US, so I bought one from ebay, but turns out it is the SM-P585NO, the Korean version, which has LTE band 1,3,5,7,8. The tablet is unable to get LTE on T-Mobile and AT&T in the US, although I am getting a decent 3G signal.
Is there a way I can flash firmware from a different variant of SM-P585 and get US LTE bands? Firmware for several variant appears to be available on youmobile.org (I cannot post a link here yet)
Thanks a ton for your help!
Maaz
I would not hold out much hope on that front.
When we flash a different ROM, it basically changes the OS, however, I don't think it changes the underlying drivers which could enable us to use a different LTE band.
It might be possible, however, it would require too much of a technical effort to accomplish that.
However, what I've seen people say is that its the hardware which is different in such cases, so near impossible to do that.
Jp
Sadly the answer is no. Unless there are unpublished support for different bands and they release a firmware update to enable this, it won't happen.
Your best bet is to sell the you had and buy another one.
Thanks!
Thanks a ton for help, you two! Just wondering.. is there a harm if I do flash a different variant? There's Korean stuff in my tablet that I'd like to get rid of.
Thanks again for your responses!

As long as you flash another ROM for the same model, you should be okay. However, I've seen previously that a lot of the things are different even in software between the Korean & International variants of the same model, so directly using another ROM is not advisable, unless the ROM has been modified by someone & that person says he has made changes to make it compatible.
Why not use something like package disabler pro to disable unwanted apps?
