Has anyone found a way to have a larger in call dialer?
I hated TouchWiz but I miss the big mute button on the call screen. The 3rd party dialers still revert to the small native in call dialer.
Thanks

Good day
Ive downloaded the Mobidial trail, and like it, because it has an easily accessible speaker-phone button (unlike the stupid hold down the button for 3 seconds thing the default dailer has). My only problem is that with incoming calls, I still have to use the default dialer. Does anyone know a way around this?

So I discovered something today on my sprint touch that most probably already know about. My biggest complaint with the dialer is the slow responsiveness of the keypress. However, i just discovered that if I turn off smartdial, then it is very fast and responsive. Plus it formats the number in (xxx) xxx-xxxx which is perfect for use in the US.
The problem is I use smartdial alot more than I don't, can't really live without it. It is so much faster than any finger friendly type contacts program.
But this slow response is definitely a drawback to smartdial. Also, when i just want to type in a number, smartdial sometimes interfere with dialing the wrong number I am trying to type.
For me, the perfect scenario would be to turn smartdial on and off with a single button, either hard button or soft button, doesn't matter, although realize Touch is limited on soft buttons. Anybody can think of a way to make this happen? This way when I am dialing a contact I will use smartdial, and when i am dialing a new number, I can turn it off. I never use that contact button on the bottom left corner of the dialpad so replacing that with enabling/disabling smartdial would be ideal.

If it's set in the registry (which it probably is) it should be very easy to create a console app that changes the setting and can be launched by a hardware keypress or a shortcut. I'll do a bit of digging and see what I can find...
If it's not stored in the registry, I have no easy way of achieving this...
hi all,
does anyone know if there is a setting I can change.
when i press phone to make a call I would like the default screen to not have the keypad dialer show. I know it's easy to just push the icon on the bottom to make it disappear but I'd like for it to default to that way.
any thoughts?
Anyone know how to change or disable the voice dialing preset on the MT4G? I've already remapped the genius button, but it still launches when I press the voice dial button on my Finiti headset. Ideally, I'd love to just remove the whole damn genius feature, but I'll settle for changing the voice dialer to Google.
Please post questions in Q&A section.
I'd like to do this too. Anyone have a clue how to make something else, like the default Google voice app or even Vlingo the bluetooth dialer?
Giving this a little bump, as I'm interested to find out how it can be done as well, particularly given the fact that a new, enhanced version Google Voice Actions/Search was released earlier today. Anyone have any success in making this work?
Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling Google Voice Search? The first time I hit the call button on my BT headset, it came up with using either the Genius Button or GV Search. Maybe that can force the option to come back?
Just wondering if anyone has figured out how to do this. I am also trying to get the bluetooth headset to launch another voice dialer instead of Genius.
Is there a way to change the default sound of the S4 dialer keypad press? I am not a fan of the water drop sound effect. Currently you can only disable it.
