Hey all!
Can you please compare the sound you actually pick up on the zuk to the any other phone you have when shooting a video?!
I mean the sound of the object you are shooting and not your own voice!
I tried video recording a song on the TV for my son!
On my zuk the sound looked very muffled and low compared the the sound i captured on the note 4 during video recording!
It's so low to the extent that I thought that the back mic (between camera and flash) is closed by something or not working at all!
Can anyone confirm? Did anyone notice it?

Yep, same here. Sound level during video recording is waaaay too low. Also tried sound recording app, same issue.
Same problem here. Thing I do when I made a video, I transcode it and boost the audio levels up. But yeah this should actually not have to do done. I hope this gets fixed in a new firmware update.

I know it was discussed before but I just wanted to ask if there is a fix. I have turned all volume options to full and also used Audio Manager to set all of them to full. I can get good video recording quality but the sound is extremely low even if the external environment sound is too high.
I recorded my son at a concert where the volume was too high (of course) and I can hardly hear the music on the video. too bad.
I believe that the DHD records audio form the front of the device and so it misses some quality but still it's unacceptable to be that low.
Also the microphone records video audio at 32kbps bit rate, mono and 8KHz sampling rate, but the mic can record in better quality outside video recording with other software but for some reason it's like that while recording.
I think it could be to improve performance of video recording but who knows. I know it's really low and sub-standard but I don't think there's anything we can do......yet.
I think HTC follows their motto: "QUIETLY BRILLIANT"
Quiet everywhere.
That's the only thing that ****s me.

stupid question, is this a hardware fault or a software fault?

I would say software because the actual microphone can record in much better quality when you're just recording audio with some sort of a program.
Hi all, yesterday i was at a concert and i recorded a lot of video but every video has a bad audio when there were loud basses.
I used the stock s5 camera app. Any suggestions?

Loudness of concert itself may be the problem... There is huge sound intensity on concerts and it seems that mic achieved his maximum.
The mic from the galaxy S5 isn't HD... Hence some sounds get distorted if the mic couldn't decode it properly.
So i can't do anything to fix it right? My friend with an iPhone 5 had a better sound .-.
Yes you can't HD mics are patented by nokia I believe and unless OEMs license that they can't add HD mic support on their phones. Take for example HTC One M7. It had HD Mic but got a lawsuit and removed it in further models.
Or you can purchase sony's STM10 HD Mic if you want

Hi! I've been using my S7E since March 2017. Recently, it has started doing noises while recording in 4k and other resolutions. It's like a fly noise, like if some mechanism into the camera was moving to focus. The thing is if I turn video stabilization ON the noise dissappears (I suspect it's the OIS, but on 4k and QHD video stabilization is not available, only in 1080p and lower). The phone also makes noise if I shake it (that doesn't bother me because apparently that's pretty common), even when the camera app is recording, it only stops if I activate video stabilization. It wouldn't be a trouble if it only was like this, because the noise isn't too loud. The trouble is that the phone mics capture that sound pretty loud and ruins audio in videos. I use zero camera mod, if you need it I can upload an audio clip with the sound.
Edit: I've just tried with my father's S7 standard, it does the click when shaked, but it does not make noise while recording
Edit2: I've just checked and it doesn't happen with QHD 30 fps, but it still happens with UHD, if I move the phone while recording on QHD there's no noise, but if I do it even just a bit in UHD the sound is there, is like if the Optical Image Stabilizer was trying to do it's job and it couldn't
Hi all, x722 here, I dont know if this happens to the other models aswell.
I think most of us know that we have a terrible audio recording quality, and with a very agressive noise cancelling going on, which completely spoils the audio quality in general. When you record something loud, the volume turns down a lot and the general audio quality for the more distant sounds is just terrible. It is just crazy the difference between video (image) and audio quality, and how much can a bad audio spoil any video no matter how good the image looks.
Is there any known solution to fix or improve this?? I'm not sure but i think its got something to do with "persist audio fluence" values, which are somewhere in the system files regarding audio.
It is driving me nuts completely. If anyone can bring some light into the matter, I would appreciate it....! :good:

Great question. The recording quality is the only problem I have with this leeco phone and this is the only reason that I do not buy it again for my wife. Recording quality is very imortant for us.
How can we fix it? Is there the same problem to all roms? I tried only the original bangood rom 20s.
Please answer if you tried other roms!
Also please inform me if the same problem exists to other leeco models as le max 2 X820 and leeco 2 x526.
Hi guys i have tried to record a video at a concert where the sound is quite High and the outcoming video Was crap.
There is no audio quality, the sound is awfull with too much distorsion
At the beggining i thought it was normal due to the High volume, but my brother with Hus mate 20lite, which is in the same range of price, was able to record the same clip with no issues.
Si, What is wrong with the redmi note 7?
Anyone knows how to solve the problem?
I Kno right same here
