This is normal behaviour of nearly every dual SIM phone. Dual SIM means dual standby. When one SIM is in use, the other SIM is offline.
No I just tried in Asus zenfone 2, while one Sim in use another Sim is getting connection and it's showing as call waiting
any one can help on this..?

A new guy here. As per subject, I have a hybrid dual sim version of the S7 Edge.
In the SIM card manager you can select a "preferred" SIM card for voice/text/data calls, or set the phone to "always ask".
As I'm using a 2nd SIM card to call only 3 of my 500+ contacts I'd like to have the SIM 1 as preferred for everything, but somehow assign those 3 numbers to the 2nd SIM, so when I make a call it ALWAYS calls from SIM 2.
Is that possible?

Bought a new zenfone 3 (ZE552KL). Unable to receive a call on SIM slot 1 ( Micro-sd). Caller hears a "Phone is switched off" message. The same SIM however works in the nano SIM slot 2. Called my network operator and got my sim replaced but the caller still gets the same message. Performed a factory reset as suggested by Asus customer care, still no joy. Finally ordered a replacement from Asus for the zenfone 3 ( ZE552KL) and SIM slot 1 still gives me the same problem i.e. the caller getting a " phone is switched off " message.
Anyone else facing problems with the zenfone 3 in terms of sim slots related connectivity?

Haven't tried SIM 2 but certainly has no any kind of issue from SIM 1. Call and cellular data works perfectly fine. Have you checked operator vs supported frequency? And also suitable firmware for the country?

Checked operator against device compatibility on frequencycheck.com and it shows that the device is compatible with all bands.
I have no such issue. Both my sim1/2 work on either 2G/2G, 2G/3G, 3G/2G or 3G/3G modes. No 4G network here.
i have onr question can we get call on both the lines at same time i mean if i am talking on sim 1 can i get call on sim 2 at same time plz rply

This is weird. I just bough Leeco Cool 1 Dual, the (il)legitimate son from Leeco and Coolpad. The phone is okay for the money. It however has a weird problem. It is unable to activate one of the sims from the same carrier. I have 2 Nigeria MTN sims in the phone, but only one works irrespective of the slot it is in while the second one which work okay in other phones does not work at all irrespective of the slot. However, sim from a different carrier works fine. What could the problem? Has any of the gurus in the house seen anything like this before? I have even swapped the sim for a new one with no show. Thanks.

Well here in my country some operators demand sim operation in 1st slot only as not many phones come with both sims at 4g standby. Have you tried putting the sim in some other dual standby phone's 2nd slot ?
Hi,
Getting weird issue. I am able to use only one sim at 4G LTE at a time.. another sim just shows out of Service at same time.
But if I disable another sim, the first one sim will work fine.
I tried resetting the device but no luck..
Please help if anyone knows..

I have op8 pro in2023 with Android 11 with two sim cards
1st one for call and it use 3g network and 2nd for internet by using 4g lte...
One I am going to do call by sim one , I immediately lose the data connection permanently just like there is no signal in sim2 at all !
I can recover that by restart or simply by activate and de activate aeroplane mode!
Please any suggestion
I don't have such idiot issue in samsung nor in huawei

I know that we cant use both sim at sqme time
But the 2nd sim should resume his work automatically after the end of call from 1st sim right? Mine did not work at all till i restart or just activite and de activte the air plane. Mode.

I've got two sims also. Tell me what setup you have , I know you mentioned sim one is for calls and 3G? And sim 2 is for data only? I don't see an option on here. I have a global setting for 3g 4g 5g etc and then I also have a default option to state voice or data for each line as a preference.

I used every method to solve this issue through 4 days and I really hate One plus for that annoying BUT
some one told me I should activate the VOLTE through setting , but unfortunately I didnt find this option too !
