unable to recieve or make calls cyanogenmod 12 unofficial - Galaxy Grand 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i have a samsung galaxy grand 2 SM-G7102. I had been peacefully running the official rom that came along with the phone until i decided to root the phone. Tweaked a lot of settings here and there without knowing what was happening. unfortunately one day rebooted my phone and many of the system apps were lost - keyboard phone everything. so i flashed a custom rom and fixed it.
CURRENT SPECS- cyanogenmod version - 12.1-20151026-UNOFFICIAL-ms013g
android version - 5.1.1

Need Help
Hi,
I installed your firmware.
Problems:
1)While using bluetooth handsfree, after the call ends, iam getting FC error - process.com.android.phone has stopped...
2)2/3 times the phone hangs.Need to take battery out.
3)2/3 times screen goes black, hangs and rebooted.
Solution Tried:
Installed FC fix for XXJVU. Now the phone FC problem didn't come.
But the battery drains very very fast.
Pls help me with a solution.
Thanks.
plz remove the S+ prefix in the name of the thread coz it's confusing, an S+ (i9001) member might flash it and brick his device.

ICS CM9 IS still in (early) development and You expect it to be perfectly working? LOL Only thing not working there for me are MMS so looks like u flashed in wrong way? I recorded video just last night,USB works fine(u need diffrent drivers) and YT does the job. Anyway YES this one is stock+root as title says. 3 files to flash with ODIN
Looking at your phone model, you are in the wrong forum.
This is only for GT-I9000 aka Galaxy S
Yours is GT-I9100, which is Galaxy S2
So please check it on Galaxy S2 area.

I want to start over

Hey everyone!
I've been lurking here for a while, and I've been very impressed with the roms that have emerged, and particularly the work of Pika, without whom my phone would no doubt be rather boring.
I've made mistakes, nearly bricked my phone, lost my IMEI, overclocked it too far, all sorts of fun stuff that usually turns out to be the best way to learn new things.
Currently, my phone works fine, but I've got an itch, as I often get with computers, to wipe everything and start again, to make it as fast as possible.
This is my current setup:
Model: U8800pro
Android version: 4.0.4
Baseband version: 404029
Kernel version: 3.0.8-perf-g4fc0f23 [email protected] #1 Tue Oct 16 13:37:27 CST 2012
Shendu Mod version: ShenDu-U8800pro-v2.0.4-121016
But I really can't figure out how to go back. Every single stock firmware I've downloaded, causes an error when I try to install it (using the dload on an sdcard method). Does anyone have any ideas how to revert all the way back to Froyo (or GB would suffice I guess, but of course I'd like to take it all the way back and start completely afresh).
Thanks for your time.

Just use the stock dload method from huawei but use the usb cable to power the phone, with the battery removed.
That should stop the error with flashing.
Thread moved. OP please have a look to the forum rules. Thanks

[Q] New Droid user, looking to install a ROM

Hi folks, I'm new to this forum/site, just looking for a few pointers. I've been using a BlackBerry Curve (8330) since 2008- it's been a great phone and hasn't ever significantly let me down. However, I was given a phone about a year ago (Verizon Motorola Droid Razr M, XT907) and it's just been sitting in a closet here since I got it. Decided to finally get with the times and would like to start using it, hence why I'm here.
I'm wanting to put a custom ROM on it, though really don't know where to start. There appears to be several different ones, not sure how each differs from the next. I have experience installing a custom OS on my BlackBerry but am completely in the dark with Droid phones. Came across a few sticky threads on how to go about installing ROMs and such, just looking for suggestions at this point I guess.
I reset this Razr M to factory stock- twice just to be sure. My main goal is to remove all the unnecessary bloatware that comes pre-installed on this thing (if possible)- Amazon Kindle, Amazon MP3, Audible, Backup+ Media, NFL Mobile, etc. I won't be using about 75% of the preinstalled applications.
The phone as it sits in front of me-
System Version
98.30.1.XT907.Verizon.en.US
Model Number
DROID RAZR M
Android Version
4.1.2
Baseband Version
SM_BP_101032.021.32.80P
Kernel Version

[email protected] #1
Build Number
9.8.1Q-94-1
Build Date

So, my question(s) are mainly- Does it matter which version I'm running in order to be able to install a custom ROM on here?
Would like to eventually root this, though not a priority at the moment. Is it required to be able to put a custom ROM on it?
I see KitKat being mentioned often along with JellyBean and Ice Cream Sandwich, something or other. No idea what any of those are. Could someone elaborate a bit?
Thanks much in advance, apologies for being the n00b.

to install a custom rom you need an Unlocked bootloader and custom Recovery like TWRP

Installing a Custom Rom will be installed over stock, and will not contain bloatware.
If you just want to remove Bloatware, all you need is Root access.

Speaker Popping - 183.46.15.xt907.Verizon.en.US XT907

I had this issue when I first got the phone, before I installed CM on it. I had read that the kernel in CM fixed the issue, and it was true, there was no popping while running CM.
I recently switched back from CM12.1 to stock Verizon because of persistent SIM problems. I am unlocked and rooted. This old audio issue returned upon reinstalling the stock ROM. The speaker "pops" at the beginning of every audio event. It's just loud enough to hear and be annoyed by it, but probably not loud enough to do any damage.
I remember reading about this in other threads somewhere; that's how I learned that CM11 solved the issue. So I know I'm not the only one who experienced it.
What causes the pop? Any suggestions on how to fix this while keeping the Verizon firmware?

'Mute phone alerts & calls' not working on Marshmallow

I have an LG G watch connected to my Galaxy S5 running CM13.
Even though I have 'Mute phone alerts & calls' turned on in AW, the phone still rings.
This worked properly on CM12.1 and still works if I restore my last twrp backup of CM12.1.
Not sure where to post this because I don't know if it is a problem with Android Wear, Marshmallow, or Cyanogenmod.
I see lots of people posting this problem for lollipop but it appears to have gotten fixed. Now it's back. At least for me.
Anyone else having this problem or is it just me?
Can confirm that I have the same issue since March update. I am running pure nexus April build with April security update and I still face the issue. Seem like a prevelant issue as far as I can read. I really hope google fixes it

Are you saying you had a version of Marshmallow (CM13) that DID work? If so, what was the last working version?
Thanks
I use Pure nexus rom which is CM based. The Feb build worked like charm and that was marshmallow

I intend to track down the version that broke it so maybe I can spot the actual change and try building with out that change. Could you tell me the last version of CM13 that worked and the first version that didn't? I was a bit late to the CM13 party and the first version I tried was well into March.
Feb update worked
anything after fed doesnt work (atleast in PN rom)

Do you have a date for the Feb update that worked? I tried a 3/1 nightly and it doesn't work.
U can check the PN thread for a date
