Official CM13 Nightlies have been released for the Nexus 5X, 6P and other devices.
Link to CyanogenMod 13 Nightlies for the Nexus 5X (Bullhead):
http://get.cm/?device=bullhead
This thread is to converse on bugs, features, and anything related to CM13 on the 5X.
EDIT: It looks like one continued issue many seem to have is properly installing the ROM and getting it to boot. Here is a sure fire process to ensure you get CM13 installed and booted:
Clean install
- Do a full wipe (Data/System/Dalvik/Cache)
- Fastboot Flash the vendor.img file from the most recent factory image (only needed once per monthly factory image update)
- Flash the CM13 Nightly
- (Optional) Flash FED-Patcher (If you are decrypted and want to remain so)
- (Optional) Flash Open GApps (The Nexus 5X is ARM64 in case you aren't sure)
- (Optional) Flash your custom kernel of choice
- Reboot and enjoy!
Dirty Flash
- Fastboot Flash the vendor.img file from the most recent factory image (only needed once per monthly factory image update)
- Flash the CM13 Nightly
- (Optional) Flash FED-Patcher (If you are decrypted and want to remain so)
- (Optional) Flash Open GApps (The Nexus 5X is ARM64 in case you aren't sure)
- (Optional) Flash your custom kernel of choice
- Wipe Dalvik and Cache
- Reboot and enjoy!
This method works with both TWRP 3.0.0-0 and Cyanogenmod Recovery
too bad..

This article mentions T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling support. Interested to hear feedback if it works. CM13 for the LG G3 is also out but it doesn't have Wi-Fi calling enabled.
Did not boot for me. Stuck at initial Google boot screen before the boot animation.
Tried using recommended open gapps and also the gapps package from the pure nexus thread that I've been using. Also tried with elemental kernel.
Edit: I'm not encrypted, but imagine that should not be an issue.
one needs to decrypt phone before the cm build will boot. works fine on mine.

Hi folks, I've tired to get back into roms today after a few years absence. I've tried 3 roms on my 6P but ResurrectionRemix and Dirty Unicorns won't find any wifi. Cataclysm which I installed in between the two did. RR is also telling me 'theres an internal problem with your device'. I've wiped the normal things and even done a full format. Any ideas?!
Edit: just tired Bliss and that does work?! But I'm getting an error about a vendor image being out of date?

If you even tried reading op of rom threads, you would realise that you have an outdated vendor image. In order for wifi to work on latest roms and get rid of that message, flash latest vendor image ending with "x" and youll be fine. You can flash it in twrp
Thanks. I did flash MTC19X_vendor and I still get the message though?

I have done a bit of research, apparently the vendor image has to be up to date with the ROM but the problem is if I get the ROM dirty unicorn I could not find any vendor image for their ROM version 10.4 latest one. I don't understand whats happening with the system but this WiFi problem has recently occurred to many people.

Flash the Vendor.img for the July security update. Dirty Unicorns 10.4 uses this vendor file. I download the entire factory image each month from Google Nexus factory page and flash what I need. I'm running July DU on my Nexus 5X with no WiFi issues.

I want to install PURE Nexus ROM.

And i want the method without a PC

Direct links depend on my build number ?
You are aware the build number changes as we get updates from google. You can use the latest Pure Nexus just make sure you flash the current Vendor N2G470

Maybe you forgot to wipe data or could be the gapps you used so many possibilities. However as far as I know you can jump back and fourth between builds just need the matching vendor. If you really that concerned about it run system updates from google and get your phone up-to-date first.
Flash whatever you want and just make sure you follow the OP's instructions. So when they say you need a certain vendor image or gapps package, you need to use them. Also, if it is stated that a clean install is required, it's really required. Almost all instances of many apps fc'ing in a new install are the result of either dirty flashing a different rom or a wrong vendor image or gapps.

If I was to put Lineage 14 on my Axon 7 would it be a lot easier to upgrade to Lineage 15 when it is available for the Axon 7? And if I was is there any disadvantages to Lineage 14 on Axon 7?
Sent from my ZTE A2017G using Tapatalk
Is your phone bootloader unlocked and do you have a custom recovery like TWRP already? You'll need to do that whether you install CM14 or 15.
If you install CM14, you probably won't have a clean upgrade path. Dirty flashing generally isn't recommended for major updates like that. You will most likely want to wipe the device and install clean in order to avoid upgrade issues. So... install CM14 if you want to play with CM14 now. It's a pretty great rom - if you're holding out for 15 and have the stock rom right now, then you're missing out on the great features and cleanliness of CM14.

I have not done anything to my phone yet it's just stock rom as I want to be sure about doing this, having almost stock android sounds very appealing but I don't know will there be much disadvantages.
I was thinking about holding out alright but thought that I may as well go for 14 if it is an easy upgrade to 15, would it almost be the same to put 15 on so from 14 as it would from stock rom to 15?

I would definitely recommend switching to a custom ROM. I have tried switching back to stock MiFavor on a couple of occasions but it just feels unbearable to me in comparison with custom ROM's like Lineage and AospExtended. The procedure to switch from LineageOS 14 to LineageOS 15 is very simple, basically the steps to clean flash the Oreo update would be as follows:
1. Make sure your apps and files on LOS 14 are backed-up.
2. Download the LOS 15 ROM and copy it to either the internal or expandable SD card storage on the Axon 7.
3. Download the latest GApps arm64 ZIP for Android 8.0 from OpenGapps and copy it to either the internal or expandable SD card storage on the Axon 7.
4. Reboot the phone into TWRP custom recovery.
5. Enter the 'Wipe' menu and wipe the partitions /data, /system, /dalvik and /cache.
6. Switch the the 'Install' menu and flash the LOS 15 ZIP, followed by the GApps ZIP.
7. Reboot!

You don't have to downgrade back to Marshmallow to flash the ROM. There are some guides on XDA that explain the procedure to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP. I only got my Axon 7 about 3 weeks ago so don't know all that much about it myself. I unlocked mine using EDL mode and MiFlash.

Will putting Magisk on My ZTE A2017G with unofficial Lineage 14.1 get passed Safety net and allow me to use apps like Android Pay?

The latest stable version of Magisk (14.0) works fine for me on LineageOS 14.1 and also passes SafetyNet, so the answer is YES. (But I don't know for certain about Android Pay because I don't use it!)

I am not sure what you mean to be honest, where did you see about this? I know when you install LineageOS you have to flash the B15 Universal Bootloader first in TWRP, and you should also flash the Android N modem; both of which are supplied in the Official LineageOS discussion thread. You can then proceed with flashing the ROM and OpenGApps, followed by Magisk 14.0 and anything else you'd like to install before rebooting.

Yea I've actually done all that and got it working with a bit of stress involved it's just this part in the guide for Magisk "However, you MUST have a stock boot image dump beforehand, and also be able to flash the patched boot image, either through fastboot/download mode or ODIN" if you know how to do that bit would be great haha but if not thanks for your help P650E

No worries. I don't think you need to worry about anything like that. The usual procedure is just to download Magisk from the link in the official thread on XDA, copy it to the internal storage on the Axon 7 and then flash it in TWRP. It isn't necessary to do anything else, like the stuff you copied above.

Hmm, i'm not sure about that one because I didn't use the phone for making calls when I was running LineageOS on my Axon 7. If you installed the Android N modem before flashing the ROM it should work fine in theory. Maybe you can find someone else in the LineageOS thread who's having the same issue.

I also had problems getting Viper4Android to work on this device. For me it would install fine, but the audio effects made no difference in apps like Spotify and YouTube, despite having the deep-buffer fix enabled. Try using this version by ahrion instead, it works for me! (Just make sure you remove anything relating to previous installations of V4A beforehand!)

I don't know how much difference it would make, but installing the Official build of LineageOS is probably slightly better. The method of switching from Unofficial to Official is basically the same as what I posted previously in your other discussion thread:
1. Make sure your apps and files from Unofficial LOS are backed-up.
2. Download the Official LOS ROM and copy it to either the internal or expandable SD card storage on the Axon 7.
3. Download the latest GApps arm64 ZIP for Android 7.1 from OpenGapps and copy it to either the internal or expandable SD card storage on the Axon 7.
4. Reboot the phone into TWRP custom recovery.
5. Enter the 'Wipe' menu and wipe the partitions /data, /system, /dalvik and /cache. (It might not be 100% necessary to wipe /data since you're just switching to an official build of the same ROM, but it is still advisable. You could try installing the ROM without wiping /data, but you may encounter some issues!)
6. Switch the the 'Install' menu and flash Official LOS, followed by the OpenGApps ZIP.
7. Reboot the device.

There's a tutorial on XDA that works for all devices. It's not really necessary; it's like writing the same post again.

According to the dev Khode_Erfan who brought us lineage os 15.1 Rom with out owning the device has said do not wipe system.
What I suggest is from stock, in twrp flash Los15. 1 using the instructions in that thread(may as well skip root and gapps and boot Los15. 1 one full time. This gets you 8.1 vendor and best compatible base for a gsi.
From here we need some clarification but this is what I like to do.
Reboot to bootloader.
Boot twrp.img
flash gsi.img
flash mindthegapps8(oreo gsi) or 9(pie gsi) if not included in gsi. If possible I like a vanilla gsi and flash gapps myself to avoid a device registration on Googles dev site and 100 notifications my device isn't certified.
Flash magisk
reboot to bootloader.
Run fastboot - w.
