[Q] Root without breaking warranty on locked ROM

Hi,
I am new to rooting the Galaxy S4,but found that this post works for my baseband version I9505 XXUAMDE. Although, this says "Everyone playing with this right now knows the drill..." but I don't. Where can I find more detailed explanation on how to root with this method?
Also, I have a branded, locked ROM from stock. Is it doable to extract this ROM and later flash again it to avoid any warranty issues?
In advance, thank you very much.

Thank you, but I can't seem to find my version in the download list. Should I just download the unmodified stock package mentioned in that thread

PHONE: XXUAME2

and flash it? What is the difference between my UAMDE and this UAME2?

Hi,
I would suggest the unmodified stock package..
The difference, that, you should ask in the thread.

I do not recommend using Kingroot. Use my guide in the other thread.
I can write up a more detailed guide later once I have time.

Can you answer these questions:
Is your boot loader unlocked now?
Do you want a stock version of 5 or an after market version. If you have an unlocked boot loader do you want CyanogenMod 12 or a variation of it?
Why did you root your phone?

i flushed G900VVRU2BPB1 because i got the impression that it will be possible to root it with cf-auto-root
so now bootloader is locked again.

i need to test specific app on s5 Lollipop

If you want to go back to stock, go here..... https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...rmware-pit-verizon-samsung-galaxy-s5-t3757416 and download whatever version you want and flash it with Odin per the instructions on that page.

You can root any ROM with TWRP & Magisk. You just need an unlocked boot loader to get started with.
If you don't want to or can't unlock your boot loader go here. https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...oot-method-t3561529/post71147687#post71147687
and click the box below the "If your eMMC CID starts with "11," start here:" statement.
