So, AICP (custom ROM) has an option to let you disable individual apps from putting notifications on the lockscreen.
But stock ROM doesn't get this granular. You can remove all notifications or none.
Anyone know of an Xposed mod or something else to help with this?
I have two apps that I want to see in my pull-down but do NOT want to see on my lockscreen.
If I get you right - there is an option to block certain apps from showing notification in the Moto app
The Moto app only affects moto display. Not lockscreen. Notification manager for xposed works (currently not available for marshmallow). You can control all sorts of notification settings.

I'm not rooted, but if it has an app manager like stock (and in recent memory, Touchwiz) can you uncheck the "Show Notifications" checkbox? Sorry if that doesn't help :/

The problem with that is it removes notifications completely for the app. In Stock, it's all or nothing unless the app itself has some priority settings (which are few and far between). The only way that I've been able to find is by root and that xposed app.

There are some nice enough developers to include a option to hide an icon from a Live Wallpaper settings. But that's only with about 20% of them. The rest are just creating a mess there. I have a lot of these Live Wallpapers, I often like to change the looks of my home screen.
It has become really hard to find apps, well you either have to slowly browse through them all to find what you have installed, or remember the names of the apps. I think Google should give users an option to hide and manage hidden apps. Or is there already a way? (without rooting)
You can hide apps by going to settings, apps and selecting the app you desire and press disable. Those that are disabled won't appear on your app menu. This feature is on stock ROM or not.

I'm on android 4.4.2 and there is no such option. And wouldn't that disable the app altogether from usage?
Hi, I am not sure whether there is a solution to this question so far, but as far as I tried to google it, I cannot find a work around.
I have updated to Lollipop 5.0 recently and the notifications in lock screen are impressive. However, I have some persistent app such as Apex Launcher, Profile Scheduler+ that will always run in the background. Some apps have an option to hide lock screen notification but not many have this options (at least those app that i used do not have).
One of the most annoying situation is during my running at night, where I have:-
1. Location Set by GPS (System UI)
2. Notification Status by GPS Status
3. Notification Status by Runtastic
4. Internet Speed Meter Lite (This app has a function to hide itself in lock screen, but sometimes it doesn't work....)
5. Profile Scheduler+ (persistent app)
6. Plus some whatsapp notification...
where i only want to have 1, 3, 6 in the lock screen.....
Is there any "app based notification chooser" in the field? That you can select what app can display notification in the lock screen.
Thanks in advance.
I'm looking for a solution to same issue on my Moto G 1st Gen (Lollipop 5.1)

Hmm, I gotta try this My Android Tools app then, cause since moving to Lollipop this issue has made me crazy! However I mind how the clock and date font becomes small (tiny in fact) when there are other notifications in lock screen more than the number of notifications on LS. Even if those notifications had to be persistent there was absolutely no meaning for the clock and date fonts to go small!

Thanks for your help. It seems we need to wait android or Samsung to provide us this option. I will look into 3rd party lockscreen
You can block an app's notifications altogether in settings.
It would be fairly simple to make an app or script that would enable/disable that, on a timer or something.
To remove certain notifications from just the lock screen, though, would either require modding the desired apps individually, or some rather significant mods to SystemUI.
Hello everyone, i recently installed BlissPop ROM on my D-802.
I was wondering:
1) Can i remove the "Get now cards" ?
2) Can i use smaller icons like the others on bottom tray ?
Image URL: s21.postimg.org/anycthrp3/Screenshot_2015_10_29_11_44_34.png
Futhermore, were could i find stock apps like Dialer and Contacts ? Most of them listed on "G2 THEMES AND APPS" have broken links.
Hi,
1. I'm assuming that's a widget, if so, you can just long-press it and throw it to the "Remove" / "Delete" option that pops up.
2. If you're using Nova launcher, witch I guess you're using, you can go to Nova settings--> Desktop--> Icon layout and from there you can adjust the size of the icons in the desktop.
Edit: Oh and about the stock apps, here's a link to some stock lollipop apps
http://www.idroidspace.com/download-android-5-lollipop-stock-apps/
Nearly all the stock lollipop apps are there, however if you want the messenger app then just search for it at the play store, Google already published it there.
But if you meant stock LG apps, then I don't believe there is a way to use stock LG apps in an Aosp ROM such as Cyanogenmod/blisspop/AICP etc...
Have fun!

Thank for your reply!
1) This is not a widget. That's why i am asking if there any way to remove it.
2) I am using the launcher which come with BlissPop ROM. Should i use Nova instead ?
I was searching for stock LG Contacts and Dialer apps because i prefer them than Google's.
I prefer LG apps over the stock as well, but sadly, I did not manage to make them work in the BlissPop ROM.
And I recommend you to use a different launcher, as he said, Nova would suffice. But I personally preffer Apex Launcher, it just fits my style a bit more. Any of these two should be able to handle your situation anyway.

Yes, use Nova or Apex or whatever launcher you want, I prefer Nova. I've used so many launcher in the past but nothing could beat Nova IMO.
Even though I'm recommending Nova, witch will, by using it, remove that ugly "Get now cards" thingy, I'm gonna have to ask you to tell me what happens when you long press that thing? Does it say anything? Does it let you view "app info" or let you know what app that is?
And for the stock apps, I searched and tried some but none worked (as expected). That's why some people choose to stay with stock systems because of these apps. Personally I've gotten over that ;D

You can set up task manager in your status bar, it should be in the blisspop settings, under status bar OR under the quick settings menu.
It will add a buttom for the task manager to your quick settings, see for yourself

A screenshot or something ? I can not find this option :/
Sure, Settings - Bliss interface - Notification drawer - Task manager.
When you turn that on, an icon will appear in your quicksettings (when you slide down notification bar completely, it will be next to the settings shortcut and battery shortcut).

You are awesome man! Thank you very much!
So I have Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (G935F) and I really dislike all the bloatware Samsung puts on their devices.
So I installed Custom ROM to get rid of it. More specifically I installed Efficient ROM which let me choose which apps i want to have on my phone.
Being sick of preinstalled apps I selected all of them to not be installed. Along with default Clock App.
Which at first didn't bother me at all since I could install Google Clock app from the Play Store.
But my problem started when I wanted to use alarm feature. Though app is very well adopted by the system (the alarm icon even appears on the AOD which I did not expect), when I clean all open apps
it also shuts down my clock app. Which is really bothering me since Alarm does not work when app is not running.
I could just leave clock app opened in the apps menu, but it's annoying since I usually close the apps I don't currently use.
So my question is: What can I do to keep Google Clock running in the Background when i close it from recent apps? I have in mind feature that, for example, Facebook app has; that keeps you updated on notification even when you close it.
And that I don't forget to mention... There isn't any option to set Google clock as a default app on the default apps menu in settings.
I really don't want to flash ROM again just because of the stupid clock so if there is any solution I will be very grateful to share it with me.
I would guess use a Root Explorer and change it from a user app to a system app. I'm a Samsung noob, though, so I could be wrong.
Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
OK i figured out that if I disable xposed, app stays opened. Anyone else experienced that issue with having xposed installed? I also find out that it's preventing Hangouts and several other apps to run in background as well, so I can't get any notifications.
You could install xposed (if not already done) and download an app called App Settings. There you can set the app to be permanently running and/or hide it from the recent apps list.
Also, I don't think making it a system app will change anything as system apps, with a few exceptions, can also be closed from the recent apps just like user apps.
Edit: Just read you have xposed already installed. So just do as I said first, this way you can continue using xposed aswell as the clock app.

Thanks for your reply but don't keep activities is already unticked.
When I use any applock it works fine.but when I open the 'applock app' and swipe it from the recent activities it's permanently terminated.and then locked apps like whatsapp can be opened without password bcz the applock is not running in background.
Same happens when I swipe jio4gvoice from recent apps the app notification form the status bar disappears and no calls can be made from phones built in dialer.i think u got my point now.
