Apps rearranges themself - Honor 7 General

When I first got my Honor 7, new apps got placed in excisting app screens until it was full and a new app screen was needed. Now, when I donwload and install new apps, they get placed in a new app screen, so I have one app per screen. I have tried to orangize the new apps and place them together with all the other apps and delete the new app screens. But after I reset my phone, the apps are back at their seperate app screens. This also happens if I change themes.
Hope you can help, as this is getting frustrating

Rename Apps In App Draw

Hey everyone! Recently migrated phones from a Touch Pro 2 to this (like a lot of you probably did) and have spent the last couple days trying to get used to the Android OS. So far I've managed to pretty much set up everything how I want and I've rooted, over clocked, and flashed a custom rom onto it (Virtuous v1.0.2).
Coming over from Windows Mobile though, one gripe I am having is being able to rename the apps in the app draw. Since I only have about 6 apps on the homescreen, I'm aware it is possible to rename them using programs such as bettercut or super app manager, but unfortunately I've not yet found a way to rename the apps in the app draw. I like things to be neat and labelled nicely which not only look better, but makes it easier to find things.
Is this any way possible to do once you're rooted up? Ideally I don't want to turn off the Sense UI interface and switch to something else because I quite like the Sense widgets. It's baffling why this option of renaming applications is not possible/much simpler.
Thanks in advanced for any help
Not looking good is it.. Lol

Not sure if what you want is possible...
Sent from my T-Mobile G2
Of course its possible. Android is open source. Take the source for the launcher, make changes necessary to rename applications, compile, install.
Hint: Some other launchers that you may be able to download and install, even on a NON-ROOTED phone, may already have this ability.
Don't know if there is an easy way to do this in the stock Sense launcher.
Only way I know if you only want to do this to a few apps, and have the APK for those apps: There is an XDA user made app called APK Edit, which allows you to change the icon and name of the app. Just use this to edit the APK, then install the APK.

GO Launcher EX

How can I add folders to my dock? If anyone can help me out that would be great, thank you!
Sent from my Droid using XDA Premium App
I use GoLauncher Ex and I've never applied a folder to the dock. I don't think you can, correct me if I'm wrong but you can only add to the screen which I have two folders on mine. Just long press on any free spot on the screen till you have a pop up you will have options to choose ie.,Widgets, shortcuts, applications, and folders choose folders you will get another popup asking what folders you want, contacts ,starred folder , new folder ect. Choose new folder it will exit back to the screen you choose you will see a plain square then hit your apps drawer long press your apps drag to the bottom of your screen where it says add to home screen once that is on your screen drag that app to the folder(plain square) and release it. Now its your folder repeat the process for your desired apps or for as many folders as you want. Hope it helps.
That won't help you with GO EX,but with ADW EX you can put Folders in Dock

Thank you and some discovering I did
Hey, thank you so much bullswife98 and mblaster4711 for giving that advice.
I must say since I left that last post, a lot has changed with GO Launcher EX now. They came out with a beta a couple weeks ago and its great! It allows you to do exactly what I had wanted to do, but it doesn't have the feature to let you put folders into folders, but its cool, I love this new one now.
After I posted that question, I had decided to look for the best folder organizer out there that worked well with me. I did find a app tool called, Folder Organizer 3.4.3. That allowed me to not only put folders created within that app on the dock but I was also able to easily change the folders icon and also put folders within folders! I had a it for a good while, but I still had to do some discovering. I tried out ADW Launcher EX but it didn't work so well for me, it just didn't have enough the customizing features like GO Launcher EX did. I like a lot of things about adw but I was just more comfortable with GO more then anything. I tried a couple other launchers but found myself back with my usual. lol.
About a week ago I found a app tool called Elixir2 and I'm so glad I found it because ever since I started messing around with it haven't been able to put it down, literally. It makes you think for sure. It has features like allow you to put customized widgets on your screen, you can find out pretty much anything about you phone from that app. It's very useful and clear for anyone. I'm still learning about all of this stuff so I have found it very helpful and useful. The app also has add-ons that give you other features. You should check it out if you're interested because I know I haven't even said everything that it can do. Plus the best thing is.. it's free!
Once again,
Thank you very much.

clear recent apps?

so i have no need of it now but the top line of apps that keep track of what you have opened just keeps getting longer.. anyone now how to clear that out yet?
also if anyone is looking for a password app to bock a few apps from the kids accidently buying apps or getting into your email the app "app protector pro"(also has a trial) is one of the few that work... some on the amazon store do not block at all and some are buggy. this one i have been using since yesterday and it has several good modes. only thing with this is i had to side load a different facebook app(touch client for facebook) because the "app" for amazon just goes to the browser. and this will allow the kids on theirs without logging me out or getting into mine.
.i know people are having problems getting the regular market place in. i stopped trying and just started using blapkmarket side loaded for my apps.
also im finding kobo to be the best ereader app to side load that seems to give the best results.
hope this helps anyone with the same issues
The Recent section is one of the more annoying aspects to the UI in my opinion. First it should need to be SO LARGE... and second, it would be nice to just turn it off. Many of the "icons" displayed are terrible looking especially recent web pages etc...
The other is the lack of control buttons being available without an extra step. Coming from a Android phone it takes some getting used to. I suppose someone who has never had a droid based phone might think it is okay, but I would guess not.
To clear apps from your carousel: Settings->applications->Filter by all Apps->AppManager -> Clear Data
to clear watched videos from your carousel. Settings->More->Applications->Amazon Video-> Clear Data -> Go back to the home screen click on one of the other tabs like books and then back the the home and it is gone.
-D
worked thank you
Now we need a setting that just makes the carousel disappear completely.... most likely a different app launcher though.

New to Android and phone is full of bloatware!

Hello I just got a Samsung Galaxy S4 today and I've noticed it has a lot of bloatware it's not the samsung stuff that bothers me it's the others, is there anyway to remove this easily (preferably not rooting) The apps I want rid of are ChatOn, Help, Google, Google+, Messenger+, Talk, Chrome, Play Books, Play Magazines, Play Music, DropBox, Flipboard, Tripadvisor, Amazon MP3, Ebay, O2, O2 Space, Earth and google settings.
Thanks !
Well you can flash a pre-rooted debloated ROM such as Wanam's ROM, or else you can root your phone and debloat it using Titanium Backup. There is no way to remove the apps without rooting your phone.

Not sure what phone platform you're coming to Android from, but there's no problem keeping all these applications on your phone and simply not using them. The phone does not have limited space for apps, and these apps don't slow down your phone when you don't use them.
If you're really fussy, you can hide applications you don't use from appearing on your application menu. In your app menu press the menu button and go to "Hide Applications...".
Many of the applications you've mentioned are system apps, which mean they're in the system partition - in other words they are part of the actual firmware. You can't uninstall them without root, but as I mentioned there's no reason to do so. Just don't worry about it.
yes these bloatwares doesnt really bother me much due to high RAM available, unlike the phones i used before like the xperia arc s.
i have been switching back from messaging and high end 3d games with no issue. im still on where i left the game, so i guess theres still more ram available.
The phone has a quad core processor, 2gb of ram, and you're complaining about bloat!? What it can do against you!? It's just an app in the drawer...! Just disable it in apps management. It will be there. But not in the app drawer anymore, and it don't need root. If you tell me is about memory, I'll kick your a** if I ever meet you one day.

If you do not wish to root go ahead and disable any apps you don't want to use and you are pretty much good to go. The only reason you even need to do that is some apps are called automatically when you start others even though its an app you may not use. Some will also light up and phone home looking for updates. Disabling them will prevent that.
If you do root and delete something that you later want most of them are either available on the market, Google or Samsungs.
Welcome to the dark side.
The first thing I do when I buy a Sammy phone is to root and debloat those ****s they put inside. As if I can't go to google play to install

Just goto settings ....application manager and disable the application. This will prevent it from running and will remove the icon from your app draw. This will also prevent the app updating from the market which does take up user memory

You do realize some of us delete bloatware simply because we don't need it, right?

Tablet freezing and crashing after appearance of an app called "baby angel"

Hi all,
My model SM T330 has begun periodically freezing with whatever app I try to run eventually crashing about 30-60 seconds in. At its best the app simply crashes and dumps me back to the home screen (which often fails to load my shortcuts and widgets). At its worst it will completely freeze when I try to transition to a new app or otherwise try to navigate the UI. I would chalk this up to it getting old but I got lucky and managed to get the home screen to load only to find that an app called "baby angel" had suddenly appeared there (it uses the Android system app icon). I was able to get the applications manager to last long enough to find that this app wasn't listed anywhere (even under "all"). I don't see how it could be an actual system app because I haven't updated my OS (version 5.1.1) in a while (unless it updated itself even after I told it not to) and I couldn't find any reference online to a system app of that name (just a bunch of live wallpapers that I definitely don't have).
At this point I assumed I'd been infected with malware so I ran a full scan with McAfee but it came up with nothing. I find this hard to believe but I'm not sure how to proceed or if the two events are even related. Right now I'm just keeping the Wi-Fi off in case it's being accessed remotely somehow (did I mention my tech literacy is mediocre at best?)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If I've left out some important piece of information feel free to ask.
Flash the stock firmware with Odin.
