Picture for proof. Now how do I keep it from changing and can I use it to unlock the bootloader? I'm refusing to reboot so it doesn't change back
Is it possible to write the prior firmware into this root method when it flashes the kernel to achieve root
The .15 firmware has the TZ patch, so no, you can not unlock your bootloader. And without a unlocked bootloader you can not downgrade.
Ok thanks

He can unlock .15 firmware. With Sigmakey.
But rob15 have kernel from may 1st. As i know (maybe wrong) kernel from july 29 has tz patch, not .15 firmware...
The TZ patch isn't kernel related.
It's in the firmware

Is there a way to tell if you have the bootloader from the OTA 4.5.91 or if it is the one from 1.8.3?

Hope it help:
If you want to confirm your status, please adb, su, and "cat /sys/firmware/fuse/ReservedOdm" or just open the file in Root Explorer.
Here it is an explanation of this:
10000000000010001000100004000
4= BL "unlock"
0= BL lock
10000000000010001000100004000
1=NO UPDATE BL TO AP20 Ver. , so you applied GB by moto-fastboot process or by CDW
3=YOU HAVE A NEW BL AP20 Ver., so you indeed applied GB OTA 2.3.4/4.5.91
Ok so I'm not expirenced. But I had a good idea on how to possibly unlock the bootloader for .15. I used this method recently to root my device:
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-razr-m/general/root-droid-razr-m-xt907-183-46-15-t3030852
Here is proof of root and my kernel/system version:

Now the way this works ( I think ) is that it switches the kernel version with an older version. After that you use towel root like normal. Then it switches you back to .15 kernel. Idk exactly how it does this but maybe you can. Anyways, since it was actually able to root my phone on .15, I was wondering if it was possible to use the same method, but to unlock the bootloader. So here's how it would work ( if it could): change kernel to older version > use old exploit to unlock boot loader on the replaced kernel > unlock bootloader > replace old kernel and hopefully.... TADA!!!! Now knowing that I have absolutely no knowledge of how this would ply out, I'm asking the developers if in some way shape or form this could work. Just a suggestion to try and help the development on the droid RAZR m.
Cheers mate!
I was recently given a Droid Razr M and just rooted with that method yesterday myself. I was curious about being able to root but not unlock the bootloader. Seems to me that the method used should be similar to unlock the bootloader. I am ignorant to development so I could be wrong. I am hoping that an unlock method is found. I would love to be able to play with ROMs instead of being stuck with the stock rooted one.
Should be a great way to brick it anyways.
There are several threads about trying to unlock the bootloader.
Don't need to start a new thread.

I'm pretty sure the trust zone does not reside in the kernel. I think it's its own little kernel and it doesn't get replaced with HP. If it were that easy, we'd be unlocking devices as we speak.

Yes, the TZ partition is completely independent of the kernel, and the bootloader must "approve" of a signature to flash the TZ partition. To modify the TZ partition at all, you must be unlocked.

Just a small correction: TZ can't be modified (read: downgraded) even if your bootloader is unlocked. All you can do with it is to re-flash it with the same or newer version than what's currently on your device.
If it says software status official does that mean I have the official rom not rooted and able to receive ota updates even if my boot loader is unlocked? How can I relock bootloader?
No, you should be with locked bootloader. You can read this thread, it helped me to get stock system, and also to relock bootloader so I can get OTA update to 6.0 Marshmallow.

To take OTA locked bootloader is NOT NECESSARY.
If you have a unmodified system partition and stock recovery you are good to take OTA.
Unlocked boot loader helps you to flash files through fastboot.
I updated my Z008 to the new LP Ota update 2.20.40.155, not rooted nor unlocked before. And now I can't unlock my bootloader using ASUS's tool. I used to successfully unlock my bootloader via that method on 2.20.40.149. Does any one have the same problem like me?
Tried: reboot, reinstall tool => doesn't work
Your bootloader must be already unlocked. Try to flash and start TWRP.

We don't have it for any variant... Don't know if we ever will, never been leaked and the sources for them are questionable if we will ever get any more factory images at all.
What is the problem?

Why do you want relock BL? It can help with... nothing.
You can flash the newest version RetEu 6.0.1 with oem_lock commands.
I suggest rather:
Flash the first 6.0.1 reteu 24...58 without locking
If everything will be ok:
Flash the last 6.0.1 24...58-5 with locking BL.
After it you should get one or two OTAs.
Remember: bootloop with locked BL - only authorized service can help.

Oh, probably wont do that then.
Another question, can i download the android 7 ota uodate when i get it still? With an unlocked bootloader saying "Offical" and twrp?
So far ota update is only for 24...58-13.
With twrp you can't install any ota update.
Unlocked BL doesn't matter for OTAs.

Exactly, i need to get rid off twrp, but i can only do that if i flash a stock recovery, which i cant
It might be worth trying this older firmware whose name suggests that it is reteu for UK and FR, and seeing if newer OTAs show up:
https://firmware.center/firmware/Mo..._MPH24.49-18_cid7_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
More available here, but none of them seem like they're for UK phones:

If your bootloader is unlocked and you're trying to lock it, you could try flashing it while keeping the bootloader unlocked, and then flash it again as part of the flashboot oem lock begin -> flashboot oem lock process. (From what I've seen, the device is fine flashing older firmware with an unlocked bootloader, but not with a locked one.)
