[Q] Galaxy S4 not detecting 5GHz wifi

So i have a week old galaxy S4 and everything is fine until i realise that it only sees and connects to my 2.4Ghz SSID. I use a dual-band sitecom WL-309 extreme gaming router. My laptop, ipad and galaxy tab can scan and connect to the 5Ghz SSID. I'm really surprised that a phone that boasts 802.11ac isn't even able to see 5ghz wifi. i recently installed the wifi analyzer app, and it doesn't help, can only still see 2.4.
I recently upgraded my firmware to the indian MEA stock ROM. Dunno if anyone out there has experienced this, help apprectiated.
Thanks
I saw in a post that wifi channel may be the problem, my router has the following 5ghz channel options: auto,36,40,44 and 48. Just tried all and still no joy.
im having the same problem exaclly.
i cant see any 5Ghz network at all.
i tried replacing channels on my router and still. cant see.

Galaxy S 4 will NOT do wireless N (802.11n)

Hello everybody,
I have searched all over the web and these forums trying to find an answer as to why my Galaxy S4 (SGH-M919)refuses to connect to my wifi network using wireless N (802.11n).
I thought something was wrong with my network at first, but I went into service mode on my S4 and clicked on wifi and it says this:
Link Speed: 5Mbps 802.11b
Now, when I'm in service mode looking at that, I click the option to turn off WIFI Power Save Mode. When I turn that off, it refreshes and connects to 802.11n at 54Mbps, but that only lasts for 2 seconds and then it reverts back to 802.11b at 5Mbps. GAH!!!!
My router is set to wireless N only, so I don't understand why my phone insists on using 802.11b instead of 802.11n. My router is an ASUS RT-AC68U and I am not a noob when it comes to networking and routers but I cannot figure this out no matter what I try.
My S4 works perfectly fine on 802.11ac (very fast) but that's only on the 5GHz spectrum and I want to use 2.4GHz for better range and other various reasons.
My router is awesome and very fast, and my S4 did the same thing with my old router. So it's definitely my phone. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks in advance.

Problem on wifi

Hello everybody!!
I have a problem with my S7 edge...
When i turn on the wifi my S7 edge connect to my wifi and after 1minutes my phone lose the wifi...And after 5-10seconde my phone find the wifi
When i go to the menu wifi i see on my wifi" Internet not available"
I try on my computer and other phone and the wifi work....
What is the problem??Software problem or hardware problem?
Please don't say me it's a hardware problem
My 4g works good!!
Thank you so much
It could be a problem with your WiFi access point. I know some Broadcom chipsets can crash when certain devices try to connect over 802.11g. If you have a wireless N 5 Ghz radio, you could try to connect to that SSID instead. I have a router that started having constant WiFi crashes when I got my new phone, but I just had to get on the 5 Ghz SSID and it stopped crashing.
Thansk for the answer !! it's work

“Network is disabled because internet connection is slow” on my galaxy tab 4, v 4.4.2

My sons tablet just started doing this 5/19/2018. he can't connect to our house wifi and it is giving this error “Network is disabled because internet connection is slow”. My internet is fine with all other devices. I've googled and all solutions are for galaxy phones and those options aren't on the tablet. Help.
