Xposed module? - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I figured I'd ask here since its a 6p problem. Tried running xposed and the app says its inactive or not installed. I tried deleting the disabled file in conf and rebooting but I get stuck in a bootloop. Anyone who got it to run on their device know a fix?

Did you flash it in recovery?

I tried that and it's still not working. It says "the latest version of xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot?"

Android is upgrading message everytime I reboot phone.

This wasn't happening yesterday. Every morning I reboot my phone when j remove from the Wireless charger to prevent the wireless charger wakelock.
This morning however I notice that everytime I reboot I get the Android is upgrading message as if I just performed a OTA.
The phone finishes the upgrade and looks and acts fine bit if I reboot again it does it again.
Anyone else experience this before? Its still happening if I reboot everytime.

Clear cache and maybe load a new kernel maybe?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
if you didnt do it yourself, then its either an app, a mod, or the rom/kernel that youre running. whats happening is that your dalvik-cache is getting wiped then rebuilt on boot.
I'm on stock 4.2.2 rooted and running motley kernel. Have been running this setup for a month no and no issues and haven't installed any weird apps that could do this.
Doesn't make sense

I think it happens when you wipe davlik with apps disabled.
if it only pops up for a second or so, don't worry about it.
It was the beats audio root app (paid version) I noticed it would consistently say permission granted even when the phone was idle.
Uninstalled the drivers using the inapp uninstaller and now no more message when rebooting.
Anyone know why this app clears dalvik cache every reboot?

i use the beats+xlouder flashable mod, and it clears dalvik upon flashing. its nonsense that the app clears dalvik after a reboot, i definitely wouldnt be happy with it.

So how do you find out which application is the one that's wiping the cache?

Thank you for sharing what was the problem.
I have found fix for this error, it is mainly due to odex files which are created by lucky patcher so deleting these files using lucky patcher itself will surely remove this error with 50 percent success rate. Here's the fix; open lucky patcher, there in lower left section you can see Toolbox, click Toolbox button then select 4th last option i.e Remove all odex files. Thats it android will reboot on itself and vola no android is upgrading. .
Check out attachement for help.

What apps have you installed since boot up?
What recovery are you using?
Also try flashing the Faux GE mainline kernel again with a cache and dalvik wipe after.
If you have installed Adaway then try uninstalling it and let me know if it gets rid of the reboots.
I have some ideas for the reboots but need to rule certain things out as I go

maybe u need to reflash the rom using another recovery
did u check MD5 before flashing?
Using newest Philz touch, restored apps using titanium backup did have adaway installed. Downloading new version now to try, will post back when done.

its most likely user error.. i nvr heard this happen just from rooting a device.. are you trying by copying apk to fioe system and rebooting or by installing as a regular apk? what apk is it? what did you freeze?

It's from xposed or a auto brightness app try installing any app that you recently installed,
Sent to you from my slimmed down S5
Update:
I defrosted every single app AND fully removed xposed. And still, install is unclickable. So weird! Any one ever seen this? Also to be clear it's with any apk. I noticed when installing better battery stats but adaway, xposed installer both are on my Sd card so I tried them and they won't install.

I flashed this months ago. Just using the regular method. It has stuck since. Magisk did update their module schema though. Not sure. But yes, I have the T-Mobile variant. What happens when you try to flash it? What does it say?

Nothing it installs fine, but the T-Mobile boot animation stays. Apparently people were having issues with it working on magisk 20.3 that's why I was asking.
Just reinstalled it and same issue the T-Mobile boot sticks
I can't believe they ditched the McLaren boot animation they could have easily put something like powered by TMobile or something

I can confirm, with 20.3 I'd appears to install but does not change the boot ani. Then it does not uninstall

Yea it doesn't uninstall either it's no harm no foul so I'm not worried about it right now. Apparently to get rid of it you have to uninstall and reinstall magisk but I don't have time nor the care to do all of that. Its running fine.
Check this out. Worked for me on Magisk 20.3

Welp it is I just used root browser and did what I needed to do there's no space but I just kept doing the same thing over and over again until it finally stuck.
Edit: well it's not sort of? I had to place the files from the module to the module which required going to the root-data-adb folder where all the magisk module stuff is and placing the files there it wouldn't work at first but if you did it enough times it would stick.

Root detection by app

Hello everyone,
I have 2 apps that keeps detecting root no matter what I do..
I tried HIDE MAGISK, MAGISK HIDE props and even I renamed the MAGISK package via MAGISK setting to random name..
The problem is that when I don't hide with MAGISK it will show msg root detected. But if I hide with MAGISK HIDE the app simply doesn't work at all it just hang at loading and crash sometimes.
I tried the app by uninstalling the MAGISK and the app works fine... but as soon as I install/flash MAGISK again app hanging and crashing.
Can anyone have idea how can I fix..
App link on play store-
