Anybody know a working exchange pin bypass method for marshmallow? Either a flashable zip or xposed module would work for me!
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
Last I checked the bypass doesn't work in xposed for MM. it looks like cgomez updated his thread to include exchange 5.0 but again not sure if it will work with MM.
since going with Nine, i haven't looked back. plus the fingerprint scanner makes it super easy to access my work email and none of my notifications are blocked, which was the part i hated about using exchange.
Instead of bypassing Exchange - Why dont you try Nine Email app, it integrates well with Fingerprint, Native Calendar & also has no issues with MDM tools.

weird i just said that.
Mailwise has bypass pin option built in. Not sure if it works with MM, though, as I also switched to Nine.
Agree 100% with the Nine suggestions. Absolutely perfect, and worth every penny.

Using Nine for the last week or so, definitely my favorite exchange app...company is going to implement AirWatch next month so I emailed the dev and they sent me a full rundown of how to use Nine with MDM. Super responsive.

If using Nine with MDM, make sure you use Application level security its under settings. Makes your life so much easier.

Edit: I cant post the link but a quick Google search of Motorola Offering Droid X Owners Free TouchDown Exchange Licenses will give you the webpage.
Sorry if this has been posted but anyone have any experiences?
My e-mail/ calendar/ exchange has been abysmal on the DroidX.
thanks
When Verizon themselves give an Android phone to one of their employees, Touchdown is what they use to connect to VZW corporate Exchange email. Probably the best endorsement there is.
got a link?

Has anyone else seen this or tried to get the free software?

The reply email said "You should expect a response from us within 24 hours", but it has been 2 days and I still haven't heard anything. I will let you know how it pans out.
They updated that to 48 hrs due to heavy call volume.
I downloaded Touchdown (its a free 30 day trial) and im loving it so far. Everything a spartphone/ exchange e-mail system should be.
I would have liked LED notification but ok...

Yes, my license should be arriving today. I was one of the first unfortunate X users to report the problem to Motorola. There are two problems with exchange on the X (both are the result of Moto messing with AOSP software as part of their Blur implementation)...
(1) If your exchange server does not require SSL, you will not be able to connect (true for Exchange 2003, possibly others)
(2) You may receive Exchange items, but notifications may not trigger properly
Bottom line is that Moto screwed it up with Blur, and they are offering Touchdown licenses as a stop-gap measure until Froyo is released.
FYI, you can also resolve the issue by rooting your device and pushing the AOSP Email.apk and CorpCal.apk to /system/app
I will sometimes get my notifications but then sometimes I won't. The other problem.I am seeing is that the push email is not always working for incoming emails. I will have to open the app sometimes before it will refresh he emails. Yet Gmail seems to get my phone right when it hits their server. Never had this with my touch pro 2.

since the new twitter policy rolled out yesterday, does anyone if there will be an update for Peep?
Per a tweet from HTC themselves last night, Twitter is actually working on an update for the HTCPeep app and several other mobile clients, that is supposed to fix the issues follwing the API change the other day.
MoTweets is currently the only app that works with the new authentication (that i'm aware of). 3-4 bux on windows marketplace.

I really dont see how Twitter is working on this, unless HTC shipped them the source code to Peep and is making them rewrite it? yeah right!
There's really nothing that Twitter has to do from their end, HTC needs to rewrite the authentication portion of Peep. The only possible thing Twitter could do is reenable Basic Auth, which im sure they will not do, atleast not on a permanent basis. If Twitter was feeling kind they could reenable Basic Auth for another week or 2, give the developers of all those twitter clients that window to get their clients supporting OAuth, then cut off Basic Auth again.
This whole problem is HTC's fault, Twitter notified developers MONTHS ago that this change was going to be taking place. In fact the change was originally supposed to happen back in June or July and was pushed back to give developers more time to get their clients updated

I would agree, but from the sound of the message, they're doing it to re-enable more mobile clients than just HTC's, so maybe there'll be a basic auth "bridge" for just mobile clients..? I don't know any more details than that, but HTC did firmly put the issue in Twitter's lap with that announcement

I'm all about some TweetDeck. Adobe is working on a port of "Air" for Android, which is really promising for TweetDeck in the future. However, I have a hard time believing that Adobe would work too hard on Windows Mobile, especially since Windows Phone 7 has just been RTM'd.
On the bright side, I'm digging me some Motweets. I really like the whole pic preview thingy, even TweetDeck isn't doing that yet! I still miss being able to tweet from a tab though. HTC is not going to waste time working on HTC Peep, especially when they also have Windows Phone releases on the way.
I feel like I am holding a sparkling, beautiful machine that was seriously outdated the day I bought it. Twitter's switch to OAuth is just another sign that Windows Mobile and the associated apps are on a fast track to the great recycle bin in the sky.
Oh, and if any of you are interested, there is a way to get in on the Adobe Air Android Pre-release program right now. Testing phase only, but it's gonna be awesome

one thing that REALLY bugs me about motweets, for selecting a photo to upload it uses the windows mobile thumbnail view which takes FOREVER to load and thumbnail pics. the thumbnail view used throughout sense is much much faster!
I tend to upload a lot of photos to twitpic/twitter and it annoys the hell out of me
htc peep does not work we can do or any solution for this problem

Is this solution working? I have the same need, thanks
I'm sure most people are already aware, but you'll almost certainly get sacked if your employer finds out that you're using this. Is it really worth it?
I've been tempted several times, but I've settled with Touchdown. The interface is awful and it makes Windows 3.11 look modern, but importantly it doesn't insist on a lockscreen PIN, it doesn't insist on encrypting the device, and it doesn't insist on other annoying things like disabling the camera, etc. etc. It runs as an isolated standalone email client.

Have you verified this with your HR department?
Policies are implemented for a reason, what you consider to be boring is not important.
Organisations take security and data protection seriously, it is not for an employee to determine what the firm considers important or not.
can some application (mostly downloaded from play store) steal mail, password, credit card number etc.. by using this application?? sorry bad english...

As an FYI, we would revoke your bring your own device rights if we caught you doing this. Too many android devices circumventing policies that we will likely be removing them from accepted use list. Sad, but true. Fortunately is IT guys keep ours . Pays to be tight with the Exchange Admin. Just be careful....you likely signed an "acceptable use" policy.

I dislike the inbox subfolders view on top. Should've been an option to disable this.
It's pretty bad the stock email app sucks for exchange. I use touchdown for exchange which works awesome. It's pretty expensive but I got it from amazon app store last year sometime when it was on sale for $7.

Yeah, seems I found a way by changing MMS port in APN to 8080 and not default 80. allows it to work with adblock plus filter enabled. But thank you for the adblock mention saved me a headache.

As much as I whined for 2 weeks on the waiting room thread trust me it's worth the wait. Moto really screwed the pooch on their shipping and estimates for a lot of people. Mine magically made it the day after estimated. Whatever your fedex tracking states you should get it the day before. If you haven't signed up for Delivery Manger go ahead and do so, I couldn't due to verification issues but it's worth a try.

That's the crap part haven't gotten any shipping info from moto or delivery manager it's just going to be plain old late, but upside I guess is when I talked to them today they said should have it by the 22nd but they do have a serial number for it in their system now so I guess that's a step in the right direction. Screwed the pooch is a nice way of saying how all this is being handled. Dang it felt good to vent a little. Have a good one boss

Don't be surprised if you end up having other issues with this.
You don't have to make the changes if you use AdAway

My thing about adaway is it modifies the host file and sometimes prevents access to places I go to like steamcommunity etc or sites that have any ads blocked on some sites.
