Increase Ambient Display Notification Time? - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there an option, or program, or exposed module to increase the amount of time a notification is displayed on the ambient display?
It appears to only be a couple seconds right now. I'd like to increase that a bit if possible.
Thanks!

You might be adjusting the brightness with your ear by mistake while taking a call with the taskbar/froyo brightness feature.
good day.

Froyo includes a feature within the task bar to adjust brightness. Tap and hold the task bar and slide finger left to right and the brightness will adjust. So if you mash the phone against your ear before the proximity sensor turns the screen off you might be adjusting the brightness at that point.
**I should also add that the task bar/brightness feature is only enabled when auto brightness is disabled in display settings.
good day.
Wow I just noticed this is the culprit of my brightness problem. Wonder if there is a way to disable it? (Without enabling auto brightness)
Yeah the first couple of seconds of a call I just keep it a further angle till the proximity takes over. But I dislike auto brightness so, oh well.
good day.

How to disable ambient lighting controlling Notification LED intensity?

Everyone knows that the intensity of the notification LED is depended on the ambient light intensity, on a bright situation the LED glows at it's full brightness and in a dark situation it fades and much lower intense. I am rooted, is there any way I can change this behaviour and make the LED bright always, other than flashing a custom kernel. Light Manager did work for this on Note 2, but it's not working on S4, I mean the brightness part.
Thanks in advance.
I didn't know the intensity can change depending on the light level. To my eyes it looks the same at any light level. I am sure Tasker can control this, I decided to control my LED with tasker because as powerful as Lightflow is, it's just not flexible enough, their selling point is the amount of apps and the ability to take over led, vibration, and sound... i want to control my led's colour, duration and intensity and only Tasker can achieve this tbh.

Thanks. Tasker never popped in mind. But as I have never used it, I have no idea how to use it. Could you please guide me, on the LED part only? How to achieve what you said?

Lineage and Ambient Display

Hello Community,
I am thinking about buying a G6 but I have a question first regarding the Ambient Display function that comes with Lineage.
As far as I understand it if Ambient Display is enabled the screen will show some information if there's a notification for example from an incoming message. Right?
So let's say the display is black and is lying on the table for example and there's a message coming in the display activates for a few seconds and shows the message. Does it pulse then? I mean does it go on and off in intervals until I act. I mean like a LED notification. Or does it just activate once?
Is this different between 14.1 and later versions?
Thanks for answering.

Ambient display timeout

Does anyone know if it's possible to increase the amount of time the screen comes on for when a notification arrives? I find it to be too quick and by the time I pick up my phone to look at the notification, the screen turns off.
As far as I can tell, the only option is on or off. No customization. I am stock Android 9.0.
Thanks.

Lift-to-wake sensitivity

Is there any way to increase the sensitivity of the lift-to-wake ambient display? Often I have to move my phone a fairly large amount to activate ambient display.
