Hello everyone. My old black Vivo Air got stollen so I bought a new one, white.
Everything works like a charm except that apparently someone hit too hard the side of the screen by the menu button and it's kind of stuck, always.
I mean, I may be doing nothing and it's like the menu pops up and out infinitely, like I was pushing it a lot of times. It's annoying to use Whatsapp, or Messenger or antyhing cus the Menu keeps popping up randomly. Even sometimes the other buttons stop working. (I sort of fixed the other buttons not working with an assistive touch app)
Now, I would like to remap the menu button to do no action at all. How can I achieve this?
I was checking out the ButtonRemapper APP but there doesn't seem to be a code for no action at all. What can I do?
So I would appreciate your help a lot,
Thanks,

EDIT: Well i finally found it:

works on trinity! thanks vijay555!! i use vjtoggletoday on every boot now i add another super useful file by you many thanks!!
every time i press the voice speed dial button and the record button simultaneously it sends me to the screen alignment tool.
is there a way maybe a registry change to not send me to that screen when i press those buttons?
even in games and apps where i have the keys remapped to those two keys as soon as i accidentally press them together it makes me realign the screen its frustrating. TiA!
well after more messing around i realize it is the action button and the voice speed dial buttons pressed together to launch screen alignment.
like i said it is horrible feature it interrupts everything i try to do. please someone help me disable this. anyone?
Hi everyone! As the title says, for some strange reason this morning my 'Home' button won't work from any application, the button however does make the screen light up and the buttons light up, but does not take you back to the home screen... also, when at the home screen, the dial button would usually bring the contacts or the dialer page up, but this is not working either, however, if I go into the contacts shortcut on the home screen and select a contact and press the dial button there, it will call them...
so basically, my main issue is the Home button not working!
Its not rooted *yet* and is therefore running a standard rom, it does have a fair few apps installed tho, but I have used the advanced task manager to close everything... I'm v' new to all this Android stuff as up until a few months ago, I was a Windows Mobile person with my previous SPV's and HTC's so any help would be greatly appriciated!
Thanks, Adam.
hello everyone, i thought the PRO was the perfect phone just before i start typing with it, i found the first row at the qwerty keypads are too close to the soft action buttons (menu, home, back, search) , so every time im writing something i actidentaly hit some of these soft buttons and lost all myscreen text ive wrote...
just wondering if there is such app to make these action buttons works as long press them or disable them for good to use for example "SWKey v1.0.9 – Button Savior for Android"
it's very annoying when you have been writing a lot of text and you dissmiss it because this damn phone layout, anyone experiencing similar problems/froustrations?????????
Yeah I had.the same problem at first. But if it makes you feel better, you do get used to it and so it gets easier to avoid the soft buttons over time.
That is of course, assuming you are still new to the pro.
I still do it on occasion, but its become very rare.
Sent from my DROID PRO using XDA App
Button Savior would be fine with me. I wonder how you disable the stock buttons though. Seems like Google Search is popping up all the time on accident.
hi, i discovered kinda weird problem while using fpse, I am kinda relying on its options to quickload/quicksave and on n10, I cant bring this menu up... I though itll be "as usual" by holding recent apps button, but it just dont do anything... friend of mine told me to look for softkey mods, but 99% are just removing them/adding them to phones which have hardware buttons, could someone point me to any mod/another solution which would help me bring apps menu while there is no actual button in app for it and youre depending on hardkeys/softkeys?
solved: partly my idiocy, partly htc/samsung transition, its on back button while holding

Click to collapse
Some custom versions of Android can also force the menu overflow key to always appear.
So far I haven't figured this out, but I have the Amazon AppStore in without a hitch, that's fine.
Loads up, get the main screen and have some placement issues with my TV and the OUYA,
again not the issue.
How the heck do I get the Android menu(s) up on this or anything? I have a ton of Apps in
my 'Cloud Storage' bit, but I can't trigger any of the 3-4 (normally) lower menu options like
Backup, Home, Tabs, Dots, etc. so I can't pull up the normal menu on the AppStore to get
to MyApps.
Are there shortcuts for these missing 'keys' from smartphones/tabs I missed?
I ask as not only do I need it here, but a couple of things I've loaded up successfully get
stuck on responses for those specific keys and I can't go further, even though the App
isn't really locked up nor the console.
Press the U button in the middle once. It's same as settings button you normally find on the phone. This goes for many apps including emulators etc.
Pressing it twice is the same as pressing "Home" on a phone.

WOW. OK, I feel like an ass. I swear I tried every button and combination, I must've hit it
stuttered or something because it always jumped out to HOME instead of that popping up!
One click, there it was... Also have to try it on Collapse and a couple others to see if that
brings up things so I can click/continue where needed.
So:
One Click on the OUYA button - Settings
Two Clicks - HOME
Red Button - Reverse/Back
And since the 3 dots was optional on many handsets and tablets presumably nothing mapped?
Thanks for the help and the swift kick up the hiney!
