8.6.6.19 : New firmawe on 10th and 12th November -

Hi,
Seems that ASUS listen to it's customers.
New firmware will be posted on November 10 (for 3G) and November 12th (for standard TF101)
It will fix App Backup

I've my TF asking for this update but when I say "yes", it starts - what I think it's the installation - but after 2 seconds gets blocked with this picture:

I've downloaded the file from Asus site, is it possible to install the firmware manually? The TF is rooted.

where do you have downloaded the file feom Asus site?

What was wrong with backup? I'd thank them if they give us the ability to chose default search engine specifically (specifically means something else than just "google" for instance). And a reboot function!

I can't find the 8.6.6.19 firmware update anywhere !
Is someone having a download link for this firmware ?

I've just updated my TF101G B80 with 8.6.6.19 and new modem firmware.
All seems to be ok.

Did you change build prop or any other system files? If so revert to old/stock ones and try again!

hi,
i only change prop file in cust directory but i revert to stock... and i removed codec directory in etc/audio directory... maybe this last mod(removed codec directory) create problem?

Had no problem upgrading to this firmware, have root, not using xposed

No I don't have that (not sure exactly what is that). I'd recommend go back full stock B120 no root and update to B133 then root. I don't mess anything with system files except root access and change governor of CPU.

I downloaded from the EMUI, and installed from the phone memory for "Updates local".
Everything is working nicely, no problem.
My model: PE-UL00.

Yes you can flash it.

I installed G930FXXS1APG3 and Samsung camera can't save to sdcard. (Other apps can save fine in /Android/data/app name) Can someone confirm this please?

I downloaded the firmware yesterday and haven't had any issues. My camera is saving to SD card just fine. And I have no way to prove this but the phone feels less laggy on the web. Don't know if that was part of the update or just happened with the rebuilding of all the app caches on first boot.
Edit:scratch that, T-Mobile pushed out a firmware yesterday too but it was APG1, not APG3. Sorry

There isnt anything really changed except for the latest security patch. I have however, moved to the Netherlands Firmware as they are getting the latest quicker. The latest update is G930FXXS1APG4 with a build date on July 4th.

My Phone Cannot fetch new updates

Hello,
I have Samsung Galaxy S10+ unlocked which I purchased in March-2019.
It is not able to update to latest version of software. The last update it got was in April-2019.
After that it does not get any new updates. I downloaded SmartSwitch App, in hopes that it will update the software, but it also says the software update is current.
I contacted Samsung Customer care, they told me Factory Reset the phone. Which i don't want to do.
Is there any other way i Can force my phone to get the latest update?

You can use Frija and odin to manually update without root or wipe. You should find the threads located in discussion forum on the S10plus.

Did you ever do a manual software update or have software done at an official samsung authorized store or repair center?

I assume that it would, my update came from my carrier, not Samsung. I did the initial jump in December to Android 10, i received Jan update, my Dec Build was the same as what my carrier released.

Joying JY-HQ144N4G firmware update not fully updating Carlink

Hi,
I installed the August 15th 2022 firmware from the Joying website here on my JY-HQ144N4G going to the respective section:
UIS7862 software update

The Android version says 12, but as you can see from the photo, Carlink did not update.
My primary reason to update the firmware was to get Carlink 2.0 so that I could get Android Auto Wireless.
Something seems off, because it looks like the "core" files aren't getting updated, only the Android version got upgraded (not sure if the number got bumped or the actual Android OS got updated)
Appreciate any guidance on how to ensure a "full" upgrade occurs OR get access to Carlink 2.0
I've attached a photo of my JY-TQ125N4G on the Toyota Highlander which DOES have Carlink 2.0. Any tips of how to copy the files over works too!

I'll reply back to my own question with a SOLVED response in case someone else faces this same issue.
I emailed Joying support and what they told me was to install the Android 10.0 2022-08-15 update and then apply the Android 12 2022-08-21 update.
Doing so resolved my issue and what I learnt was that they tend to issue a "Full update" vs. a "Delta update".
A "Full update" means that a big chunk of the core Joying files get updated while a "Delta update" can be a small patch update or update to Android files etc. These are not official terms, but the way I figured out what was going on.
As shown in the screenshot, a "Full update" is denoted by the "AllAppUpdate.bin" file present in the 2022-08-15 Android 10 firmware zip file vs. a "Delta update" does not contain the "AppAppUpdate.bin" file in the 2022-08-21 Android 12 firmware zip file.
Hope this helps others. I will probably run into this issue and forget this nuance in a year or two, so I'm posting to help my future self too
