Hello everyone,
I want to do a full backup with my LG G2 D802 Cloudy G2 2.2 ROM + All apps + Data - actually everyting and after restore it on another LG G2 D802, how to do it? Should I just uncheck EFS before making backup from first G2 and check the rest in TWRP? Is it safe? First phone is rooted and second one will be without root. Im using TWRP 2.8.5.0

How will you be able to restore the backup on the second phone without root? Then there is also the problem of flashing the required bootstack on the second.
OK sorry my mistake, second phone will be rooted as well.
So what then?
what bootstack is?

The G2 still has a locked bootloader ...... in order the flash roms a exploit had to be found ....... a bootstack is basically a folder which contains a mixture of files which contains these exploits to bypass the locked bootloader ....... for example both Cloudy G2 and Cloudy G3 ask for the KK bootstack although they are lollipop roms ....... When flashing roms to the G2 we have to be careful to select the correct bootstack (loki vs bumpted, kk vs lollipop) or your phone will be bricked.

Okay, so i had a LG G2 Pre-rooted since i bought it and i unrooted it, i updated to kitkat LG UI only to realize that i am more fond of stock KitKat CM11/CarbonROM, so i flashed the d800 ATT LG G2 which(Worked before i updated to kitkat) and now it gives me a binary error while flashing, it simply gives up trying.
Binary issue: 7 [Device must be [d800/gilpa] , your device is [d800].
I'm so confused , is the KitKat Update from LG Screwing things up or?!? How do i fix this?
Thanks, and if this has been posted somewhere else, sorry..
Longstory short: Updated KITKAT OTA, Didn't like it, Downgraded back to JellyBean, Installed TWRP, AOSP don't flash...
EDIT: SOLVED: D800 Flash the updated recovery zip

you said you unrooted and update to kitkat so where are you right what version are you on and are you rooted or not and what d800 g2 are you trying to flash also have you tried flashing to stock jb(4.2.2) rooting and installing recovery then trying to install the rom?

SOLVED:
I wasn't informed that i needed to flash the TWRP 2.7.0.0 from the custom recovery installer.
I simply flashed this in the recovery and everything works now.

So I have a working 4.4.2 aokp rom on my wind mobile lg g2 but I accidently deleted my backup of my stock lg backup. Is there a way i can go back to stock ? I have seen guides that are similar but they only have KDZ files for bell, rogers, and telus is it possible if I can use any of those KDZ files to bring my phone back to stock ?
First of all, which model is you device? Is it a d801 model or what is it? If so I just think that you can flash a d801 kdz file, but I can't confirm that however

Hi everybody,
As per the topic says, i have a brand new LG G2 D805 Variant already with 4.4.2 (which is KitKat) and i am wondering if i want to flash CloudyG3 1.1, should i flash any specific MODEM?
I ask this as i see ppl saying every that the need of flashing a KitKat modem.
Taking advantage of the question:
1) If i root my phone, is it possible in the future to unroot it and keep LG warranty?
2) Is it worth to flash CloudyG3 1.1 over the stock?
Thanks a lot!!

It should work fine if you get top the Rom and it doesn't auto rotate the. Just boot into recovery and flash the baseband.
Wouldn't hurt to download it from the op and flash anyway.
If you want it back to stock you can use the flash tool and flash the stock kdz for you model.

Guys I was on SKROM for a while. Then I reverted everything by flashing tot and kdz and then now i flashed latest OptimusG3. But see how much space the system takes up!!
I have the d802 32gb model. Any help please? Who else is using OptimusG3 rom is this a bug or??
Edit: went back to full stock. screw this i will stay on stock kk without root and wait for official lollipop.
PS: G3 ROMs are not safe either cause your G2 thinks they are D855 (G3).

I got an email saying you mentioned me, so I rushed in to see if I could help but it seems like you got it sorted.
I think it's the lollipop ROM that's to blame, since it messes with the system partitions and partially replaces D802 files with F320 files. It's nothing like a normal ROM and that's why I have advised against flashing those lollipop ports
But like you noticed, flashing a kdz restores your original partitions
P. P. S -G3 roms are safer since they do not change partitions at all. The D855 thing is just a matter if build.prop not being adjusted accordingly.

All steps are listed here. Start with Recovery > Autorec (for your model).
Good Luck!
