I have an S5 G900f with stock unrooted touchwiz 5.0 lollipop. A while ago my battery drop from 70% to 58% in just around 45 minutes.. I just played Clash of Clans, did a little chatting in Wechat and a little browsing using Chrome. Just wondering if this is normal? I don't have Facebook installed just Facebook messenger cause I use it for work.
Edit:
Oh yeah I also disabled samsung and some google bloat I don't use and also some samsung gimmicky features like air view

It seems like the update fix the battery issue for alot of people except for me. So I just want to ask if anyone with the new update and great battery life uses a twitter app and is on it a good amount of the time like me. Because I think that might be whats draining it because after the update I re-downloaded my apps but didn't set them up and I didnt have no drain in the morning, then I set up weather bug (which besides touiteur is the only app running in my background) and got some drain and decided to stop it from running in the background and removed the widget and the drain stopped. So I just want to know if someone has twitter running background updates and still gets good battery life because not being notified about my tweets will be kinda annoying.
Just wondered if anyone else is experiencing lag on android 5 on the grouper nexus 7? Some apps fine then some apps like google + and Facebook start to load and just force close after a delay.
Is there anything I can do?
Running stock ROM
Thanks in advance
I'm having the same issue as well with some apps and just overall lag. Apps will probably be fixed once developers for the apps update to support Lollipop and work out the bugs.
Thanks TheSocialGuy.
Since back on Kit Kat, I realised Facebook bogged down my tablet.
So, unfortunate as it is, I just don't use Facebook on my Nexus 7 any more.

I also stopped using the Facebook app and switched to a webview app instead. Works pretty smoothly on the N7 http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-facebook-browser-t2864561
I noticed Facebook was the issue as well. I couldn't even use any app that used FB. Even Friendcaster rendered my N7 unusable.
I am also experiencing a lag with almost everything since installing Android 5. Start up is much slower but power down is now very quick.
My phone is G530H and rooted method by Mohan..
First issue: when using Google Chrome and stock browser. It freeze for a almost 5mins and sometimes more than 5mins...
I disabled the JavaScript and after that it run smoothly...
I found solution here forum.xda-developers.com/grand-prime/help/phone-freeze-using-browser-t3083428
but Is there a way to use Chrome without that lag? or any better rom? I can use aosp 4.4.2 browser if there's no other option...
Second Issue: I experiencing a bit lag while playing... did you ever felt a bit lag or delay while playing CoC or any other games?
Is there a working and tested custom rom faster than the stock?
Any reply is appreciated...
Sorry my English xD....
Mine is rooted free of bloatware, remove all most anything related to google, I only keep with youtube, maps, g+, install cloudmagic as my email client for Gmail and Outlook, greenify Facebook, Twitter and some others,, and my phone runs really smooth, no lag, browser is really fast, using aosp 4.4.2, chrome eat to much ram, game are OK, not the best experience, but one or two lag is OK.

Thanks for your concern...
So there's no way I can use Chrome without that lag and freeze? I think it's because of Javascript and it's trying to run like Chrome in PC...
Did you delete your stock browser using root apps like System app remover(Root), and installe AOSP 4.4.2?
I read the method and the first one to install is like Providerproxy.apk @ system folder and G530H don't have that APK...
Did you install it directly? what is that Providerproxy.apk for, anyways?
I just use titanium, remove all the bloatware and Google stuff with it, the default Samsung browser and then install the aosp 4.4.2 browser like a normal apk, that is all I did, don't have my favorite page and sincro with pc, but I prefer this way.

Found this article on Phone Arena Doze. Someone has mimic'd the code of Doze from Marshmallow and made it available in a stand alone app in the Play Store. It creates a VPN when your screen is off, and limits background processes' access to data and whatnot, thus limiting wakelocks(at least that is what's advertised) It seems to be working well for me thus far, but I will update with results after I get a full day's use of Doze to see if it has saved me idle battery drain. It may help you too!
My T-Mobile Note 5 received an OTA update that added a feature called "app optimization" which mimics doze.
App optimization came with the Note 5 from day one as far as I know. I got the update on my S6 well before I bought the note 5.
Does anyone know if App Optimization interferes with notifications from apps like whatsapp, telegram, wickr, and signal?

Well it says does before you optimization starts so I'm guess yes.. If you don't use the app for a variety of days

I had to drop Marshmallow from my Nexus 6 because my alarms stopped going off and I kept missing my meds... Doze has issues.

Not for the N920T, I got it when it first came out. App optimization was only added on the latest update (COJ5), AOGE, BOH4, BOH6, & COI5 did not have it.
Not sure about those apps but it only works on user installed apps. Would be nice if some can make a mod to add system or preinstalled apps.
Hi,
I have owned a nexus 6p which has doze in it and I must say it is the best feature but what app optimization does is shuts down the application or hibernate the application if it's service(s) is not being used for a certain number of days.
But had some screen issues and having a replacement which had the same issue made me switch to note 5.

I can't believe this, this is incredibly horrible. I can't even name all of my apps right now because I'm afraid the length of the list is going to kill my battery more. Please someone help with this drain? I have 3 hours on a 61% battery.
Other than my device heating up during full gpu usage during game, I don't have battery/heating issue. My experience since OTA so far is that MM runs cooler and battery life has improved (not significant but in positive gain). Brave frontier game will heat up your device fast.

Xposed v23 arm64 causes massive battery drain like 1% loss every minute, and also heating issues upto 46°C, i used gravity box, snapprefs only, but without them, it was still draining.
I might try the safe mode way to identify the problematic app(s)... when I go on holidays next week.

Just reinstalled xposed yesterday after my upgrade earlier this week. Last night/today my phone suddenly started rebooting itself. Might be related to greenify on my end. Going to uninstall xposed, as I think it might be related.

Greenify's GCM Notification functionality is culprit for the reboots. Unchecked it and there will be no more random reboots

Strange... that's the whole reason to use it. At least it used to be. *sigh*
