Does any one know the cause of my Moto x pure boot looping every time I reboot the only way I can get it to boot up is hard reset with power button like 5-10 times my phone is unlocked rooted and xposed installed and one have an idea?

Maybe closer did not install properly. Uninstall and see if the problem goes away.
What is closer?
Sent from my XT1575 using xda premium
Most likely it's an Xposed module causing the bootloop. You can try disabling the module, restoring a nandroid, or flashing a rom.

Sorry. Auto correct got me. I meant maybe xposed did not install properly.
Boot into Recovery and wipe the 2 caches. This usually fixes this sort of problem with Xposed booting.
Find disabled a few modules and now it boots fine thanks

Try putting your phone in airplane mode then run z4 root. I had this same problem and in airplane mode it rooted in 30 seconds. Let me know if it works for you.

Droid X running Z4Root for a long time
My stock droid x has been running z4root 1.3.0 for about 30 minutes. How long should I let it go for and is there a way to back out of it if it does not stop.
Just Figured it out via android forums. Just had to reboot (pull battery) and then z4root worked great.
Im on the 1.3 version of z4 I have debugging checked I tried everything and no dice stcks on rebooting... screen and then fc's

Have you tried a battery pull? make sure you are using this version *see attached
one of two things could be wrong.
1) you could be using a really old version of z4 and then there could be problems.
2) make sure you are not plugged into anything. no power no hdmi nothing. then as said before turn off all of your radios and turn on airplane mode.
if that doesnt help let us know.
I have to turn off raidos and turn on airplane mode? Wouldn't that do the same thing?

I think everyone is coming close to being out of ideas man... Grab the attached z4root if you haven't already. Uninstall the z4root that you have on your phone and uninstall it.
Pull your battery out, then put it back in. Put your phone in airplane mode. Then install the z4root that I have attached and then try permanent root. If this doesn't work, then idk what to tell you.... that is all the steps, tricks that people know of. I have used z4root several times, and never had an issue.
Ok well I see there has been a lot of help...I would like to say thanks to everyone who helped and I might try sbf sometime

Hey I have a DX...it is rooted. But I'm giving it to my daughter and I want to wipe it before I do. If I just do the system factory reset will it lose the root? Any help on this will help. I have already manually taken all of my apps and pics off of the phone just need to set it up to be hers. Thank in advance.
If you still have ClockwordMod Recovery installed, just wipe data.

Okay, now that I have that done...Did the wipe through Recovery Screen. The phone won't reboot...it's stuck on M screen upon reboot. What did I do wrong?
PS ~ Looked around on here and it said to do another wipe because of the sticking on Motorola Logo screen...I did that...it still sticks at Logo Screen. Did I brick this phone?? Please tell me I didn't and there is a way to fix this. Battery is fully charged, can take it out and get to recovery screen...it is just not going passed the Logo screen.
you can never loose root from a factory wipe .
From what I know Rom manager and bootstrap dont play nice.
Sounds like it's sbf time.
Listen just sbf, root, install boostrap and be done with it .
Rom manager can be a pita and unless you're going to be installing roms, not worth it imo.

I flashed my third ROM using twrp 2.6 and it worked fine as usual but I went to update the rom and flashed the zips it went through alright but said I lost super user access and to swipe to fix so I did but it didn't work just rebooted back to recovery and after a Bunchve tries I finally just unrooted my device completely using qbking's method and it unrooted my device but it is still unresponsive on the bottom of the screen but only on certain apps and the keyboard. Can someone please tell me what I did wrong?? And is there anything I can do to fix this?? Need help ASAP :/

Download the MF9 tar file and install through odin to return to stock and start over unless you have a nandroid you can restore. Sounds like there is something corrupted in your files and it will be better to start from scratch.
Thanks can u give me steps on how to do that and should I run the pit file in Odin too? I saw that some where

Have you tried this with other tw roms or aosp roms? Also you might want to downgrade to twrp 2.5.0.2 since 2.6 is a bit buggy
Edit: here is the link for twrp 2.5.0.2 I got it from sacs rom
https://www.dropbox.com/s/2c9fqr1b8q63cjt/TWRP-Recovery-jfltespr-2.5.0.2.zip
Just flash it in twrp and your good to go
Also flash kernel to see that is also the problem.

So I should try flashing another rom to see if it fixes the problem?
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
Try going to the dialer and typing *#0*#
This will bring up a test menu. From here you can test the touch screen.
After flashing a new rom rry it as well. This will test if it is the rom or not too. If it works theee but not ar other times it is probably the rom.

no.
it could also be an app, among other things. have you tried if after a factory reset, and a minimum amount of apps, it still continues?
No I haven't let. I only have a few apps downloaded. Including ROM manager and that's about it oh ya and Skype cud that be the issue?

it could be possibly. could be rom manager as well(or other root apps). is there a certain situation when this happens? do you have the superuser or supersu app installed?

It happens to me sometimes due to a faulty kernel. It happened on stock too though. It shouldn't really be a problem and doesn't happen often to me. It went away after a day or so anyways.

try this, just as an easy possible solution.. boot into your custom recovery and wipe the dalvik and cache, nothing else, then reboot.
