The Infamous Yellow Gate...!!!
So I ordered a OPX on 8th Nov and got it on 10th Nov, What an awesome device with brilliant Display !!!!
Then my cousin saw it and wanted on for himself, so I ordered another one for him on 11th and got it on 14th ...
But when I saw compared both the phones, I realized that my OPX's display has a Yellow Tint
So after the Moto X(gen 2), Nexus 5X ... The OPX also has the same problem ...
I wonder what might be the reason behind this and why none of the company ever commented on this issue before ????
I want all of you to check your device and see what type of display you have, so that we may be able to conclude which one is defective, and if a particular batch is affected .

Ive been a member for quite a while, however, i never posted anything or even logged in for some time but i do read the forum everyday Android Addiction
I have been looking for a laptop that i could carry around with me everywhere in my bag pack and eventually got the galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition.I got my order delivered today morning and have been playing with the device for some time and i have to say that it is awesome and a sexy beast !!!. I read alot of posts in this forum regarding lag and stuff but it is an incredible device and hardly noticed any lag after the update. The S pen works like a charm, not the best but i love it! I will be using this tablet as a laptop replacement so am probably going to add a nice little blue tooth keyboard and a mouse in the bag pack. One thing i was afraid of having a powerful tablet is the heat but fortunately i haven't noticed any heat at the back after using it continuously for 2 hours( i tested gps/ movies / music / Bluetooth). The audio quality is really amazing and i would have to say this tablet will be an excellent media device....Not much for music because of the size unless u have Bluetooth headset but for movies the crystal clear LCD screen along with its audio quality will be more than enough.
There is no problems yet but one thing i found disturbing is the fact that my product could not be registered in the Samsung site for getting Google credit :/ they say the combination is invalid which is disappointing, if anyone knows about this issue i would appreciate any help.
All in all the note 2014 is a great piece of hardware and if you are afraid of getting this tab due to fear of heating issues or lagging , don't be because i can guarantee this tab has no problems that would make any owner bite his eyes. Most of the people wouldn't care about a lag that occurs rarely.

My thoughts,
People seem to have an issue with the price tag which falls in line with every other "flagship" device on the market. I think this signals the end of Google producing higher spec products and selling them at midrange prices. To some I'm sure this is frustrating and disappointing, I think of it as Google challenging Apple, actually going out and getting involved in the manufacturing of their own device and for that I applaud them. It's going to cost me a few more pennies than I'd like, but I would rather give those extra pennies to Goggle instead of Apple, Samsung etc...
I hope the premium price I paid is justified by receiving a premium phone come 21 October.. Looking forward to it ...

Gone are the days of crashing the Google servers hoping to get a pre order.
Nexus devices were ment to be for developers offering mid range devices at a subsidised price. This is a flagship killer ?
My only hope is that the resale value will hold up and not go to the toilet like the N6 but I doubt that. Apple and Samsung will hold that until this product like gains popularity
Nexus 5 and prior would lose maybe $100 from launch price when selling a year later. I will be lucky to get half what I paid next year when I sell the pixel but this is something I'm aware of.
I really shouldn't be here. I spent way to much time worrying about when my Nexus 6P would arrive. I recently decided I wanted to try a smaller device again after having the Nexus 6 and Nexus 6p. I tried the 5x for a couple days (borrowed) and I liked the size. I didn't like the speaker and build and screen quality. The Pixel look great for me. All the specs but 1 handed operation. The VR also looked cool so I was presently surprised after I order to see I will get that free. I know the general community is outraged but I'm excited for this phone!

Yeah, kind of quiet... It was dead at work today so I actually watched the whole launch event and refreshed the Google Store until the preorder came up... I'm pretty stoked, finally get rid of this loaner iPhone 6+ I got when my Note 7 was recalled... Really miss my Nexus 6, this should be a great phone and my only gripe from the specs is the 5.5" display. I was really hoping for 5.7"

Yeah, spent way too much time obsessing over it with my 5x. I'm going ot try to avoid that this time around but it doesn't look like that's off to a good start. hey just curious, did you actually receive the Daydream promo code after pre-ordering? i see it's supposed to be an option, but I didn't get confirmation. I preorderd around 12:15pm CST yesterday...

Google only acknowledged that they would investigate the claim like last week....they still didn't even confirm they agree it's is an issue....and even if they do.....they won't halt production and go get a Samsung screen or wait for LG to fix the panels. The most they will do is claim they can fix it with software somehow.....and it won't get fixed.
So I say all that to say.....your build dates mean nothing as far as an early date escaping a defect.
