Hello,
I'm Andreas and I'm new here. Just reading a few years.
But now I need the help of professionals to solve a problem.
I got a OnePlus Two and I paired it via Bluetooth with my car. On Oxygen 2.1.0 there is still a problem with the contacts syncing with the car. I solved that with the app "Bluetooth phonebook".
Now I'm trying to make phone calls via Google Now. In my car when the cover is closed Google Now takes my command and answers that it's now dialing. Then the progress is interrupted.
There's no outgoing call.
I noticed that this happens when the cover is closed, with cover opened the phone calls the contact. I guess it's because of the cover that works with a little magnet.
So the Bluetooth button wakes the phone, Google Now comes up taking my command and then the phone reacts to the magnet of the cover and goes back to sleep.
Now my question is:
Can I disable the magnetic sensor of the phone via "Tasker"?
I think it should work when I'm telling the phone: When connected to Bluetooth in my car -> disable the sensor for the cover.
It would be fine if it can be done without rooting the device, but I guess I'll need root.
So can someone tell me if I can disable this sensor? I guess a shell command in Tasker can do the job...
Can you help me?
Thanks!
Andreas

Hi,
Is there anything that can be done to improve the mic volume when on speaker phone - I have had complaints when more than a foot or so away that people can't hear me.
I have the phone open on my desk most of the time and am just trying to work out the best way to deal with calls as they come in. At the moment unplugging the USB and then flipping the screen and then trying to answer the call seems a bit ham fisted and I keep on loosing calls
I personally never use my MDA Pro as a conventional phone. I find it too bulky. My own method is to always use a bluetooth headset.
If I was in your situation, I would have the Universal open on my desk, with the bluetooth headset lying beside it. When the phone rings, simply put on the bluetooth headset, press the call receive button on it, and away you go.
You don't really need to flip the screen, just close it and then use the green button to answer the call. Will work fine with the USB connected if you don't mind people looking at you strangely.
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the responses.
I don't have a headset so haven't gone down that route yet. Will they work with Skype and VOIP software etc on the phone?
As for closing and then picking up, I'm wondering if the phone has a problem because I have tried this a couple of times and have lost the calls although I am generally unplugging the USB, closing the phone and then answering - have only had the phone a couple of days so still getting the hang of it.
Hmmm....can it be used when in pda mode to answer and make calls... I have tried this, but I think either my machine's mic & speakers dont work on the inside (screen side) of the clamshell, the other person on the line can't hear, and I hear their voice (distantly), which means it is coming out of the back of the screen, not the front. Its either that or the device just isnt designed to work in this orientation.
Has anyone else tried recieving or making calls with the screen facing out in portrait mode?
Re the Bluetooth headset answering method, great idea, I do this, but I have found that sometimes my o2 blue headset loses the pairing when I press the answer call button, so I lose the call anyway.
Can anyone tell us how it should work, will the recent rom upgrade fix this, is there even a mic and speaker on the inside lid?

The Mic is right next to the power button, so it is as close to your mouth when in PDA mode or closed. Also There are two speakers on the hinged lid, in PDA mode it's the slightly recessed oval shape 10mm from the top dead centre.
I've never discovered a software method of disabling this speaker. Possibly a hardware fault? Might be worth discussing with your handset provider
I've searched but not found what i'm looking for.
I have purchased voice command and like the software, and it seems a good piece of software. However i cannot find a way to operate it with the case closed. The lock buttons when closed option does nothing.
The ability to operate it without opening it would be a god send.
Anyone?
M$ VC only works with lid closed if you are using a blue tooth headset - I have not found or heard off anyone getting it to work using the standard button(s) on the device itself when the lid is closed.
Shame really cause if I want to know the time etc and my BT headset is not conencted then I have to open the lid <time displayed on title bar>....
Shame, as it would make it possible to use the universal as a phone! I dont fancy looking like a borg prototype with a bt head set on all the time. There must be a way around this??
If you are going to make a call with the unit in your hand, can't you simply open the lid first? If you're not using a head set the call quality is pretty bad with the lid closed anyway.
midget's wm6 has the external buttons on when closed
Hi all
Sorry, if this has been answered before. I've searched about an hour now in the forums, but couldn't find any solution.
I have a TyTN II and a Motorola BT headset H700C. This combination worked like a charm so far.
Today suddenly, I cannot start or take over incoming calls anymore.
Analysing the problem I detected, that my headset is suddenly only available as a hands-free device instead of a headset device to my phone.
So I repeatedly tried to delete pairing information and re-pairing the headset to the phone, but no success. I always only get it as a hands-free.
The strange thing is, that I'm not aware of any config changes or newly installed software on my phone. Still I suddenly have this weird behaviour.
Does anybody have a hint for me? Would appreciate any, so I can get my headset back to proper functionality again.
Thanks

Hey i just saw an update on the HTC website that addresses a bluetooth issue.
You have to sign up and all that good ****. Then select your device. Theres also a camera fix if you were getting the maze pattern.
I have all sorts of connection issues w/ my motorolla s99 im constantly having to repair it seems when i use the wall plug. IF both items are charged fully, i can walk away (out of distance) music will stop, and when i get close enough it repairs automatically. Something has bugged me out for sure, still working on my issues. (thinking charging the bluetooth on the car charger might be ****ing it up).
I am looking for a tweak or registry fix/setting to help me with the following problem:
On my parrot bluetooth car kit in headset mode after a call is finished the phone stays on. This is not a problem if you finish a normal call without handsfree because you switch it off manually but when you are driving with the phone in your pocket, the phone is liable to screen presses. I have been inadvertently creating/editing contacts and making notes with the phone in my pocket after use in the car.
The screen autopower off does work if the screen is not activated for a few minutes but the inadvertent screen presses occur within this timeframe.
Any help is appreciated - thanks!
I have a similar problem when using my bluetooth headset (Samsung WEP200)…
When I make a call using the headset the screen stays active, and if I turn it off during a call it turns it self on again after the call has ended. Not fun if it’s in my pocket and it decides to call someone back without me knowing.
Is there a general setting or fix that disables the screen when you answer or make a call with the headset active?
Have you found any solution to this?

Nope, not yet…
I can’t believe that there aren’t a lot more people with this problem!? It’s a REALLY STUPID problem to have on such an advanced phone like the Blacksone when nearly EVERY basic mobile phone has this feature since the dawn of BT headsets.
This might leave me no other choice than to retire my beloved Blackstone and dig up my old Samsung phone so that I can drive my car safely with my phone in my pocket…
There is an app called Touch InCall Screen Tweak. With that you can configure so that screen will go off quickly when answering and ending calls and bluetooth headset is used. It works great for me!

I actually tried that app yesterday but didn’t get it working as I wanted. How did you configure it?
I guess I can try it again – would be great if it works!
Well, now I can make a call without worrying about it to end (with the InCall Touch app), but when the call is ended we're back making random calls without knowing to whom.
This amazes me, how this feature can be missing. It’s not something I admit to my iPhone friends who still tries to find something that Blackstone can’t do – cuz this even works on the iPhone!
I'll try tweaking till I or someone else can find a solution to this rather embarrassing problem.
I can't make calls through Bluetooth if my S-View flip cover is closed but it works if the cover is open. All my Bluetooth devices are the dumb ones that just send voice to apps on the phone to handle making the calls unlike some vehicles that download the contact list then handle the voice recognition and just send the number to be dialed to the phone.
I have tried three apps on my phone and here are the results between "car mode" "Google app" and "S-Voice"
If my flip cover is open and phone is unlocked all three work
If my flip cover is closed and phone locked all seem to open (chimes) and turns on the s-view screen but never work and I can't make a call
If my flip cover is open the phone is locked (fingerprint) and (screen off) neither car mode or s-voice work but Google app works and I can make calls.
My problem is I need it to work with the flip cover closed for two reasons one being I live in a VERY restrictive place where even touching a electronic device when driving is illegal and a $170 ticket so I can't open it if I never thought before driving or left it in my pocket. The second being I have Bluetooth headphones for when exercising and want to cover closed in my pocket so I can't open it.
I can always answer no matter what this is just outgoing I'm having problems with.
How can I get this to work? I'm on a stock rom.
