Charging Problem - Galaxy S3 Neo Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

With both the built-in kernel and the Rox latest build(CM 12.1), the charging problems remain. If I connect my phone to some wall charger, the led is lightened in yellow (or orange) and the phone shows it is being charged. However, it is not really charging - battery keeps dropping - even when the phone is idle.
Sometimes it does charge, however. I don't know if it's a bad charger that I have or something else (i have used various chargers but problem remains the same.) What bothers me is that the phone thinks it is being charged, when in fact I don't see any sign for this in the battery level.
I haven't tried stock ROM in a very long time, so I don't even know if it's a ROM issue or a hardware issue. Anyone has an idea because many of users having the same problem.

Rox 12.1 works perfect. Maybe something bad is with wall charger? No problems here detected.

charging problem!charging continues after %100!

hi guys.last week i updated my RA1 to RA2 UK generic rom.i noticed charging process continues after %100.like battery is not full.funny part i am leaving my phone to charge when i am getting to sleep.so it stay in charge like 7 hours.charging progress shouldnt have finished in 7 hours?i didnt have this problem in RA1 UK generic rom.am i doing something wrong or has someone got same problem.please help.thanks a lot in advance
It continues to charge as the battery depletes. As always, if the device is on, it will be using energy.
how can you tell it's still charging?
i use LvmTopBat, when the bar is green, it's not charging, when purple it is
can you make sure?
also do you charge using USB or Wallmount charger?
to the prev post,
even if the phone is on, it should stop charging at a certain level (to prevent battery overcharging which might result fire or explosion), then continue when the battery reaches a certain percentage.
usually i put my device onto charger (Wall charger not USB) before i sleep, next morning the bar is green (which means it's not charging anymore).
cheers

Very Weird charge problem

Hi All,
I am facing a very weird charging issue. When I plug the HTC HD2 to wall charge the led keeps blinking orange and green and battery shows 100%(When its actually not) when i pull it off the charge i get the original battery reading. Phone is not charging at all. Same thing happens when i connect to PC.
Please help
normally happens if the phone is overheating
the issue was that the pins where battery connects were little bend, once fixed phone started charging. The other issue is that phone is taking almost 4 hours to completely charge. VERY SLOW CHARGE. IS there anything i can do for it ?

[Q] Batery Start to Discharged when connected to AC charger in Xperia Mini Pro Sk17i

Good Night, I have a Sony Ericcson Xperia Mini Pro (Sk17i) with ICS rooted, my problem is when I try to charge my device everything is ok but the charge level seems lower, I mean the baterry discharged when I connect the device to the AC/DC charger. I tried with the usb cord but I get the same results, Itried also with anoter batery (new one) and the same results!!! So, I downgraded the phone to Original android firmware (Gingerbread) because I read in a post that the problem could be the firmware or ROM, because I tried CyanoGenMod 9 ROM weeks ago (but I drop it, because it was unable to made the GPS work ). Unforunately the devices shows the same situation, so I discard the posibility taht could be battery or the firmware, the cuestion is What can I do? I think that the problem is a device into the phone (hardware problem).
Note: I´m not a english speaker so please forgive me if I had used incorrectly the grammar or anything else

It wasn't so easy to understand exacly what you mean - but if the battery discharges when connected to the AC carger, and its the same with a different battery - then it sounds like your charger could be the problem. If it outputs a lower voltage than the battery, it could drain instead of charge.
Try a different charger.

He has the same problem with the usb cable, that is reason why i think it's a problem with the phone.
Possible the voltage/charge regulator in the phone is broken.
You could try to delete the /system/batterystats.bin file if you have root. Its a loongshot - but if it got corrupted somehow, it could work.
I have a very similar phone myself (non-pro) and had a few charging issues myself. Most times it would help running it 'till it shut itself off, and charge it up fully while still off. No guarantee it will help you - but its rather simple and non-invasive to try.
As pointed out above, it is also possible that the voltage regulator / psu is damaged.

[Q] Not charging after battery got drained completely.

Somehow voltage shown by my spike guard was lower than generally shown. I kept phone on charge for almost 3 hours but after that when i removed battery was still below 15%, at same point when i had started charging.
I was showing that phone is charging but still no increase in % of battery.
After that phone battery got drained as i was busy doing something else and didn't kept phone charging.
Now when i plug in charger for initial some time red light blinks and then nothing happens.
I kept phone in charge for almost 2 hours and nothing,
I used wall plug charged, connected to PC both. same result.
can anyone help?

Hi,
I figured out our GIONEE chargers are no better than cheap chinese ones. SO try with some other better quality charger from LG, MOTO or SAMSUNG and it will get charged.

Ya I tried with samsung too... but no response... So when used other standard chargers , your mobile got charged.. The same Gionee charger and other charger is able to charge my other mobiles but this isn't

Gionee phone not charging even when connected and showing charging
Hi Everyone,
I faced the the similar issue recently, I dont know why's and how's about the cause... But, I figured out that the phone starts charging when Airplane Mode is Turned ON. I suspect it to be an Android Issue as I have read same complaints from Android users having phones of different makes.
Hope that we will get a patch or may be its fixed in the newer versions of Android.
My Android Version is 4.4.2
Hope this would be of some help to you.
Cheers!!!
Dear Friends,
I am facing the same problem while my gionee m2 is not charging properly... Only showing charging but battery percentage not increased. My Android Version is 4.2.2

Rapid Battery Drop / Not Fully Charging - Help Needed!

Hi All,
I've had my Elephone P7000 for a few months and was generally loving it (a few small bugs but nothing I can't live with).
Over the last few weeks i've had battery problems - to start the phone doesn't always charge to 100% overnight (on a high-powered charger) and I am now experiencing rapid drops in battery level (often drops from 30% to 0% in a minute). Pic attached.
I have tried resetting the phone, flashed to Aerom V3, replaced the battery and the problems still persist. My fear is that the hardware of the phone which detects battery levels is faulty and is making me want to change phones.
Has anybody experienced similar problems with Elephone or Android in general? Are there any fixes?
Thanks,
James

If u r having this issues across ROMs then something is wrong within the panel and that could b probably the charging cct being faulty.
Sent from my Letv X500 using Tapatalk
Use original cable and original loader - and the phone will charge within 3,5-4h
With non original cables on original wall chargers - during 7h not full loaded.
On a non original high power wall charger with original cable - there is a chance.
I'm using a high power charger (6 port USB / 50W) it works, if I use a SAMSUNG cable.
