After the most recent Android Wear app update the ability to disconnect from the watch seems to have disappeared from the menu. I don't always wear my watch and generally the Wear App will destroy your battery life when it's left always searching. Where did the option go?

I'm also searching for a feature like that. Is there a way to automatically disconnect the watch if it is not on my wrist?
They removed that feature, I'm not sure why.
Maybe you can just unpair the watch in your phone's Bluetooth to the same result? Then re pair when you want to re connect.

I want to keep my WiFi of during sleep to save battery and I can't seem to make it turn off automatically like it's suppose to. I have set it out never be on during sleep and to not allow scanning while WiFi is off but it still seems to scan. I've also tried to disable WiFi calling(t-mobile). I know I can use 3rd party apps but I was hoping to use the existing options. Any idea as to what keeps waking it up?

Press on the battery chart showing in picture no. 2 and see which app is using your battery most. It may be one of your apps triggering the WiFi.

This is a strange one! A notification for the movie The Interview just popped up on my Wear watch, I have no clue what app pushed this - could have been a Now notification or maybe something from the Play Store? It seems to have a bespoke background so it's quite different from the usual suspects.

The time would have been about 11:15am or something. I watched this when it was released so I haven't Googled it recently (if it's maybe a Card Preview).
Didn't interact with it in time to swipe and see more. On that note, is there anyway to go back to previously dismissed or lapsed notifications?
It's just a ad for the movie

Yes clearly it's an ad for the movie, what I'm wondering is which app or service etc sent the notification to the watch.
Did you also have it in the phone? no menu when you swipe left?
If it's an wear app, you can connect watch to computer and use "ps" command in "adb shell", and try to find it by its name.

Try to disable wi-fi scanning, turn on smart power and update your software. Which model are you using?
Try calibrate battery - there is a few app with root on play store
Less coffee for your device.

On my H918 if I use the quick settings on the second screen or basically activate the Bluetooth using the 2nd screen shortcut then that window will not pop up.
As far as I know you would need Xposed and gravity box or something similar to disable it or it would need to be worked into a custom ROM from my understanding.
I sell this phone...
Sorry for the strong delay in the reply!
My Friend and I share a network. So whenever he turns on his MI TV stick, everyone at our house gets a notification for shared controls. How do I turn it off? we tried using google home app method which we found on google but that does not work as settings screen for the said device is blank. My dad or my wife sometime stop the media being played as they were not aware of the situation. (My friend complained me that his videos keep stopping and he has no Idea why which was hilarious.). Though it does not affect me directly, it gets very annoying fast. How do I get rid of shared controls.
