WiFi showing "Connected, no Internet" with exclamation mark - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is anyone else having issues with the 6P or just Marshmallow in general of not being able to connect to any wifi?

think that means connected to network but no internet available

Did you try connecting to a different Wifi network and see if you are having the same issue? I did not see an issue. Might be your router or modem is blocking internet access for your device.

Yes, I tried connecting to multiple wifi networks and it's showing the same thing: "connected, no internet". When I try with another device or laptop, it connects fine to all those wifi networks. It's just my Nexus 5 and 6P running Marshmallow.
I searched around and tried to use a static IP, also changed the frequency band from automatic to 2.4 GHz. Nothing works.

Go to Backup and reset and try a reset on network settings and see if that resolves the issue.

OK, this is interesting. I just found out from a colleague of mine (I'm currently traveling in China), that this is basically saying you are connected to the Internet, but just not to any of the Google services. I just checked and it seems everything pretty much works, except I can't access gmail, Facebook, etc. anything that's blocked by the Great Firewall of China.

Dial *#*#4636#*#* on your phone and select phone information & select run ping test and see if it pings google services. It should have been defaulted to Google, atleast it is on myn.

I'm running into the same issue, but I'm in the US. No WiFi network works. And I don't actually have internet.
The odd thing is all my other devices connect to the networks just fine.
I already tried resetting network settings, and rebooting in safe mode, to no avail. I even reset my router to stock and reconfigured.
Anyone else having similar issues?

I have this - and I am in China. Still getting internet, just not the blocked services and data. I can get the google stuff with vpn, but the exclamation and wireless remains. Cheers.

Anyway... My phone has Internet atm but with exclamation mark next to WiFi. I get same problem with 2.5ghz and 5ghz.
Instagram not loading any pics
Facebook says no Internet
Google Play Store seems quite slow at loading pics
Strava not loading map pics
Imdb not loading pics
Basically... Apps seem to be having pic loading problems
Anyways... Technical info...

Oh bottom wrong nexus model... I'm sorry... Didn't notice ?

Sorted it... was my wifi... I changed the channel settings to Auto Performance, then back to Auto Compatibility, and all working again now

Wanted to add for what it's worth: I had the exclamation point on any wifi I connected to and fixed the exclamation point by disabling Adblock Plus.

I've been getting the WiFi exclamation point also. Would AdBlock Plus cause that?

yes ad block was causing it for me too.
i disabled ad blocking from the app, froze the app from titanium backup, removed root access to adblockplus from super su and rebooted and everything is working fine now

Same problem here.
Hard reset and nothing.
The weird thing is that in my house works just fine (5 ghz)

Nexus 6p in China
I am in China. 6P wifi / internet hook up worked fine with Comcast in the US. When I arrived in China I could connect to wifi but it reported no internet access. Went to a Huawei store and they tried hooking up to their local wifi. Same thing - no internet access but connection to wifi made. They sent me to a Huawei testing center 10 minutes away. Got there, the same thing. They could connect with their local wifi but no internet interface. Then they told me they had no permissions to work this phone because it was not authorized inside China. I asked if they could research why it the internet won't connect. They put in a Chinese sim card. WHAM - They could log into the wifi and get internet. Next I tried VPN to see if there was some kind of work around but no avail - VPN needs the internet. The best thing I could I could was to call my service provider to bump up my roaming data speed (Be careful about roaming plan you have - cost $$$$). I have minimal internet access through phone but its not blocked - I can get google.

Nexus 4 WiFi Problem

I rooted and flashed my phone last night and everything was fine other than 1 thing. The Wi-Fi wouldn't connect on my home router. I tried several different roms and was left with the same problem where it was stuck on either obtaining ip address or authenticating. I then came into work this morning and the phone connected to my Wi-Fi network straight away.
Does anyone know how I can get around this problem, don't want to be using up all my data at home!
Thanks in advance
Dont get me wrong but did you try to restart the Router?

I second the other suggestion. Those symptoms sound like your router needs a restart if it hangs at getting IP/authenticating.
I'm having the same problem on the network at my university.
I'm having problems with my wifi as well. We have a network here at my office secured with WEP. My galaxy nexus connects to it just fine but my Nexus 4 refuses. It sees the network, show strong signal but it doesn't seem to connect. I did manage to get it to connect once and I downloaded some updates but then the connection dropped and will not reconnect. I've tried various advanced settings (forcing the network to 2.4GHz, changing the power options, etc... No joy. This is particularly frustrating for me as my micro sim has not yet arrived so WiFi is all I have Hopefully it will work at home. At least there I have access to the router so I can make changes if needed. So far not a fan though.
I've got WiFi problems here, too. Roaming between different WiFi networks (home and university) often results in an non functional WiFi connection. Experienced this problem with stock Android 4.2 on Nexus 4 and Galaxy Nexus and latest CM 10.1 nightly on Nexus 4. Even reboot doesn't help every time.
As workaround: If WiFi connection is broken, turn on "flight mode", wait a few seconds and turn it off again. Works for me, maybe it works for your problems too.
I literally just received my nexus 4, and I haven't done anything with the SIM card yet, I just wanted to get things going on WiFi to start. It sees the network I want, let's me type in the password, and lets me click connect. After that it does literally nothing. No thinking, no obtaining IP address, nothing. Any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem. Got the phone today and have tried several different access points - no luck. Restart the phone, no change.
Also, system updates screen said I could only download the update to 4.2 from a wifi connection till the 7th, so i set the date to the 7th and did the update successfully over the cell connection. Still no WiFi. Factory reset - no change.

My university provides both LEAP and PEAP authentication. LEAP doesn't work for me either. But PEAP works. I'm able to connect via PEAP. (Stock 4.2 / 4.2.1 and CM 10.1)
Here is my log. It appears the authentication is timing out.
12-07 10:42:43.863: I/wpa_supplicant(19563): wlan0: Authentication with xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx timed out.
12-07 10:42:45.345: I/wpa_supplicant(19563): wlan0: Trying to associate with xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx (SSID='XXXXX' freq=2447 MHz)
12-07 10:42:45.385: I/wpa_supplicant(19563): wlan0: CTRL-EVENT-ASSOC-REJECT bssid=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx status_code=1
12-07 10:42:55.346: I/wpa_supplicant(19563): wlan0: Authentication with xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx timed out.
All other devices do connect fine and I even restarted the AP to make sure.
This is getting very frustrating. I couldn't connect to wifi at work (WEP, I know...) at all yesterday. I went home, and my WPA2 network at home worked perfectly. I come in this morning and boom, I'm connected just fine to the wifi here at work (the connection was remembered from my tries yesterday). I went to lunch, came back, no wifi. Reboots, reconnections, nothing seems to work. I also have a Galaxy Nexus with 4.2.1 and it connects to the wifi just fine. Grumble grumble....
-Matt
I did a few tests today and it seems to be only when using WPA2 with a pre-shared key. WPA works, as do open AP's.

No solution with stock google image AFAIK, because google does not provide 4.1.2 image for Nexus 4. You can try other custom ROM or ask if some one has successful LEAP wifi story about running custom ROM.
BTW I don't own Nexus 4, I am stilling using Galaxy Nexus, as soon as I upgraded to 4.2 LEAP wifi broke, I flash 4.1.2 back then it works fine.
I found that upgrading the access point (MikroTik) to the latest version allows me to connect.
Seems something in this device does not like some older WPA2 versions?

My N4 has been connecting fine to my home router over the past two days. Suddenly, today, it stopped recognizing the network (shown as "not in range" in wifi settings). No amount of router or phone reboots would get it to connect. I read in another forum about going to Displays in the settings menu, scroll to bottom - Wireless Displays. Turn on and search for wireless displays, then turn off. I thought, wtf? Anyway, I tried this and it connected to wifi immediately. Maybe there's a bug in the wireless display function that's interfering with wifi.
I am actually having a similar issue as others here, but I have found another weird work-around. Basically, although the Nexus 4 see's my campus's network, no packets get transfered back and forth, and I am not even sure what is going on (The IP address, tho, is usually "unknown".) However, upon going to the campus's IT help today, they turned off mobile data, and it then seemed to connect fine over Wifi. Any idea what is going on here?
There is no "signing in" to the network at my university, it just connects and verifies your device's MAC address, so I don't think they are doing any fancy authentication. I was thinking about maybe flashing a different ROM and seeing if I get different results.
i got mine yesterday and it connects then stops connecting after a couple seconds

I get exactly the same issue in my office. I can connect to school open network, but after a few minutes it lost connection (while still showing connected). I got to wifi setting, it shows that there is only one wifi hotspot and i am connected to it. But actually there should be more than five hotspot! If i switch wifi off and back on it can detect all the networks and get connected again, but then it goes to the weird cycle over and over.
Strangely, if i stayed in another office, it is connected all the time. Seems like the signal problem in my office. But i got no problem in my office when i was using galaxy nexus.
I am driven crazy by this!

G2 Verizon - Wifi Won't Connect

Has anyone had any issues connecting to Wifi networks on their G2s? I got the verizon version on Saturday and haven't been able to get the phone working on 2 different wifi networks. I can connect to the wifi network just fine, but I can't access the internet at all. I can confirm that other devices are able to connect no problem.
Curious if anyone has some thoughts on how to potentially fix this. If not, will be heading back to Verizon to get a new one. Thanks in advance for the help.

I have the AT&T G2 version , it will connect to any wireless router but the connection will last 5 seconds then no internet, this is totally unacceptable I upgraded from the G-Pro and may go back as that never had this issue, I did read LG had a similar problem with the Nexus 4 and Optimus G
Mine works fine. I have a VZW G2 and an ATT G2 connected on the same router. It connects to both G and N networks.
No issues with my Verizon G2.

Did you try rebooting your router? I see this at home with the families iOS devices a lot, especially after heavy data traffic. I'll turn off the router for a couple hours or overnight and the next day all is well. Router is open, no encryption.

I have the exact same problem. It will sometimes transfer some data using browsers, but nothing on facebook, pandora, or the play store it will say connection lost or not data connection.
My wife has the same phone and it works no problem and also the laptop. Must be a dud wifi radio or something like that. Mine is going back to the store tomorrow.

Are you trying to use adblock by any chance? I was and it was causing the same issue you have. I uninstalled it and changed my proxy settings back to none and wifi is working great now.
Just received my LG G2 White brand new from T-Mobile about 2 hours ago. After many attempts to troubleshoot the issue it all failed. The problem is Wifi will connect to router and even work but after 30 seconds the connection goes down. The actual Wifi signal shows connected but no internet it gets stock. We tried resetting the phone and toggling with different features but still it did the same thing. T-Mobile is the worst they were trying to have me ship the phone back and leave me phone less for days. I complained and they are sending another one overnight but have charged me for the phone on my account. Mind you I've had months of bad service, after all I think I got a defective phone. I've read some other people having the same issue with other carriers. If I get another one with the same issue I'm jumping boat. If anyone knows of a work around let me know. I tried 2 different routers same issues connects then it randomly disconnects and stops downloading or transferring data.
Reset Phone - didn't work
Turned off mobile data - didn't work
Turned off wifi sleep - didn't work
I'm on Verizon. I have trouble with initial connection to wi-fi. It says obtaining IP address for a very long time. Even if I have a very strong signal. It takes about five minutes. It eventually connects and works fine. Then next time I try to connect to that router it works fine. It's only the first time I try to connect to a new router.
I just got this phone over the weekend and I was also having trouble connecting to my home wifi.
It would stay connected for 30 seconds or a couple of minutes then disconnect however the entire time the status under the Wi-Fi settings page says Connected even though I couldn't access the internet or the admin page of the router. Frustrating. If I turned off the mobile data, the wifi, the phone, the router, or some other unknown combination of events it would then reconnect again for another 30 seconds to a couple of minutes.
I called Verizon, they told me to take the phone back since I was within my 14 days. I did this and was optimistic. Then the new phone immediately experienced the same issue.
I did some more research, changed my router from 20 mhz channel width to auto 20/40 mhz. Not sure why it was set to just 20. I thought that would fix it. Nope.
I tried to set my phone to use a static IP, that didn't work either.
Then last night I tried the WPS Push Button option instead of using a password. This method worked and my phone stayed connected. I haven't had a chance to repeat my steps to verify it works again but wondering how other people are connecting, password, wps push button, wps pin? WPS is not my preferred option due to the security risks but just trying to track down what works and what doesn't.
I am able to connect at work just fine using a password.
I'm having a similar problem - my work network has no problem connecting while my home network almost never works with this phone (~25% of the time, other devices have no problem). Occasionally, resetting the phone or just turning on-and-off WiFi fixes the problem, but more often I just give up and use 4G. Anyway, if anyone finds a solution, please post! This is such a standard feature that should really work out of the box.
In case it helps, my home network uses "WPA/WPA2 PSK" security and my work connects to "802.1x EAP" security - also I'm not adverse to changing the security options if it fixes the problem.
Thanks! Nick
After reading more on this, I've decided this issue is router related not phone related.
I discovered my router reached end of life in April of this year is no longer receiving firmware updates. Newer versions of my router have received multiple updates since then.
I will be buying a new router. I report back on if it works.
I really don't think it is "router related" as all my other devices work as expected with my router. A new router may fix the problem, but I'm pretty sure the phone's WiFi is buggy and not the router..
Sent from my VS980 4G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
In my situation it really appears to be how my router is handling the connection when I connect with a password since I can connect with limited security.
Does your router have a firmware update available for it? If so, have you applied it?
Received my new to me router yesterday with updated firmware as of 10/7/13.
My phone was connected for a few hours last night and I have not had any problems today. I'll report back if I start experiencing any issues but getting rid of my old, end of life router and replacing it with a newer router worked for me.
I did not buy a brand new router either. I went with a cradlepoint mbr95 which has been on the market for awhile and has already had a few firmware updates.
Check you wireless security settings
Had a similar issue to this and it seemingly was resolved when I moved the wireless router security over from WPA/WPA2 personal to WPA2 personal only. The phone found the WAP and connected right away. I tried to reproduce the behavior but alas I have not been able to do so. Perhaps this will help others.

The Nexus 4 connects but does not browse via wifi

Guys, recently bought a Nexus 4 and it normally connects via wifi but can not connect.
I was using the Android 4.2.2 OTA updated to Android 4.3 and the problem persists.
The Nexus 4 connects normally, but the icons of wifi connection and carrier signal are gray instead of blue and even trying to install applications via Google Play or simply access a site via browser do not work and accuse the connection fails.
I was tested and the router's signal is good and other equipment that I usually work (other Android smartphones and notebook).
My router is standard G and I use WPA2.
Someone is also going through this and know how to solve?
Thanks!

"The Nexus 4 connects normally, but the icons of wifi connection and carrier signal are gray instead of blue and even trying to install applications via Google Play or simply access a site via browser do not work and accuse the connection fails."
First off: Gray Bars = Not Signed on google, that means it still work but its not just connected to google server
Second: did you try checking your time? When i bought mine the time was correct but the zone was set to -8:00 while mine is - 3:00(GMT), i did that then corrected the hour and it worked(because of sites signatures being not valid depending how your isp treats them or something like dat, idk).
Third.: change your routers channel / signal strentgh(like 2.4ghz,5ghz)and type of security, i rememember psp´s and old nexus 4 having trouble with these(would not connect if on wpa or with tkip enabled).
if these dont work i suggest you to do wipe data(settings -> backup/restore -> factory reset(or something like dat)).

I checked my settings and GMT is correct.
I also saw your setup and my router is equal.
The only thing I did was a wipe, but I think this is not necessary, because I'm using the Nexus just 2 days and since it came from the factory already had this problem.
It's frustrating the Nexus 4 have these compatibility issues when connecting to a wifi router.

WiFi not connecting

As the title says, when I leave the house and come back it doesn't automatically connect to WiFi, anyone else have this problem?
I've changed the 2.4 and 5ghz to manual with no joy, its back to auto now.
Any other ideas?
Same problem here... :/ Using a Nexus 6p as well, when I get home it never connects, need to turn wifi off, and then back on to be able to connect...
No problem here with my work and home WiFi, both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.
I had that problem and fixed it by changing channels and going down from 40mhz to 20mhz. Not sure which made the difference but my 6p connects right away now whilst before I had to toggle the WiFi.

I also have an issue connecting my Nexus 6P to my corporate Wifi network - I am seeking the specific details, but all I know so far is that it's a CISCO Access Point. The Nexus 6 had no problems at all. A colleague did briefly get his 6P connected, but then it appeared to break (he's not sure, but suspects it was after the November security update). It continually tried to connect and then eventually says Authentication problem (despite trying all sensible options for Forgetting, rebooting, changing password, confirming it still works for Nexus 6 w/ new password etc etc)
I am seeing this same issue with all of the 5GHz networks i use. It connects just fine but i need to choose it in the pulldown settings...does not automatically connect anymore.
This is something that started happening out of nowhere. it was fine after the latest update at the beginning of november but now has this issue.
Maybe reflash the system and clear the cache may do the trick but need to try.
Wondering why this is not an issue being spoken about more here. I'm sure its more widespread than it would seem here...
This is happening to my Nexus 6p too. when the phone switches to data network it doesnt connect back to wifi, i have to manually toggle the wifi on phone to connect to my wifi.
I have tried this at my friends home too and it doesnt look like an issue with the router, my nexus 6 connects compeletly fine without any issues.
Also I have noticed wifi disconnect when the screen is closed intermittently?
Is this an hardware issue?
Here is another person having the same problems. I changed my phone but I'm having the same issue on the new phone. It doesn't matter which location my phone is. It happens on every location.

Had the same thing. Connected just fine until something suddenly changed and it wasn't working anymore. It worked on other access points of the same WLAN as well as my home WLAN. Yesterday I changed the DNS Hostname of my Nexus (because "android-[insert random number here]" makes no sense) and suddenly it works again. Could be a coincidence though...
I've seen this issue on 5ghz networks on an HTC one m7, a Samsung galaxy s6 , this device and my Samsung Galaxy tab 4. It would seem to me it's an android issue.
Count me as another one with the automatic connectivity not working. Running stock 6.0.1 on Nexus 6P

S8 Internet connection may not be available issue

Just got the S8 and I have 3 Wi-Fi access points at home to cover the whole house. My S8 has been registered with the passwords for all of the APs but it continually rejects the connections with an exclamation mark after the WiFi icon having connected and then shown a message that the Internet connection may not be available. The Internet connection is available as other devices are connected and using it perfectly. If I switch the Wi-Fi on and off and reboot the S8 the issue corrects itself but I should not have to go through that nonsense every time I come home and want to use my Wi-Fi. I have explored the advanced options on the connection settings and they appear to be quite limited (DHCP Etc). Is there some way to solve this issue? I have no problem with other android devices connecting to the same hotspots. Any ideas that might lead to a solution would be appreciated.

I had this problem when i first got my s8 from vodafone but when i got this latest update it's been good no issues with internet anymore.
I have this problem as well with my S8 from Verizon. Worked flawlessly for a week and them today I get this error. Very frustrating. I know the SMG955U from Verizon is already unlocked but is there any way to put the International ROM on the phone seeing that the Verizon and the International are the same?
I've tried all the resets etc and the WiFi connects but I get the 'Internet connection may not be available' message.
Update 27/04/2017
Thanks for the reply. My S8 developed some interesting issues including the switching on of 'do not disturb' mode intermittently and along with the Wi-Fi issue the mobile data was failing in areas where a full 4G signal was present. Rebooting, resetting etc did not resolve the issue and I returned the phone to CPW for advice. The staff at the Glasgow store wasted no time and exchanged it on the spot after some negotiation with their technical service centre. Full marks to CPW for the prompt service and I can report that all of the previous issues have now been resolved with the replacement handset. I thought it worthwhile to post this information so that others who experience similar issues may be able to get a similar resolution.
Poor WIFI performance
I also have issues with the wifi of the phone, /i will get the terminal replace some time today or next week.
1. WIFI keeps disconnecting, actually it's flapping connct&disconnect for 5-10 min until it finally connects, on this matter I have seen on the acces point that it tried to allocate an ip from an unknown without asking DHCP server for an IP renew it actually tries to alocate itself the last known ip, and clearly disconnects because of lack of internet access, this happens normally as power saving mode is on, disabeling power saving and assigning a static ip on the phone seems to resolve the issue.
2. poor wifi signal... no fix for this thus far
- i have 580Mbps speed connection on my S5 and only 120-240Mbps on my S8, steaming not working and connection in general very bad, time ots and stuf, although I position myself at 10cm away from the wifi router antenas i only get 540Mbps signal, although I have an AC1750 router , s5 gets 840 in the same spot... I think the modem(that is part of the Exynos chipset) does not work wekll with Atheros based AP´s , I have an Archer C7 with 2.4ghz QCA9558 chipset capable of 450 Mbps theoretical speed, but only uses 2 antenas as s8 only has 2 from my knowledge and reaches a max of 140Mbps(should of connected at 300Mbps at 10cm in theory ) with the s8 and QCA9880-BR4A on the 5ghz side of things with a theoretical speed of 1300Mbps should work at 866 with the S8 because of the 2 antenas of the S8.
phone changed 90% of problems fixed
Hello, just got my phone replaced, tha new unit has way better wifi signal considering I hace atheros router and the phone has broadcom 43xx chipset... worth considerign changing to a broadcom router...
Hi,
I have found a solution to this problem.
1. GO to wifi settings
2. Forget the wifi network
3. CONNECT AGAIN BUT BEFORE CONNECTING GO TO ADVANCED OPTIONS AND CHOOSE STATIC INSTEAD OF AUtOMATIC. Enter in the ip address etc and connect.( It requires to be entered manually) Problem will be solved.

Change the DNS...
Hi there..
I had just the same problem with s8 plus and s7 edge(after updating to android 7.0), it kept saying "internet may not be available", I changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and tue problem solved. Go to SETTINGS》WIFI》SSID》MANGE NETWORK》change the IP SETTINGS to STATIC》then change the DNS1 to 8.8.8.8 hit save and you are good to go.
Sorry if there are any mistakes. I am new to XDA and not good in english.

I have same problem and it is very annoying. I got 2 S8 plus and both have the problem.
There are 3 WIFI Router that covers my house. I have problems saying internet might not be available every time I connect. This is very annoying. Other Phones in the house like Iphone do not have the problem.
What I noticed is that the IP range of my router is:
192.168.1.1
But my S8 says he is connected but the IP is
192.168.0.100
Anyone have same problem?
Thanks!

I found a quick work around on how to fix this temporarily until Samsung issues a patch.
just turn off 5ghz SSID broadcasting and you should be ok for now.
here is a quick how to video i made on just in case.

I'm having a very similar problem with my home WiFi and my Verizon S8+ I bought from Samsung's website. I've tried switching from DHCP to static and entering all my info. No luck. I've also switched my dns1 to 8.8.8.8 and dns2 to 8.8.4.4, and my WiFi router is set to 2.4ghz only. No success in resolving the issue. Currently my phone will show the "internet may not be available" with the added exclaimation point for a few minutes when first connected, then the exclaimation goes away and I'll have regular full speed internet for around 25-45 seconds before it goes back to a non-internet state. Any suggestions?
Try changing in your router the security setting. If your using WPA2 AES/TKIP, change to just WPA2 TKIP and see if this works for you...
I was having the same exact issue for months. I changed to TKIP only and have been rock solid ever since. No more ! at all... I'm gonna switch to just AES today and see how that works.
Changed to WPA2-AES and within the hour had ! back and no internet. Went back to TKIP and rock solid again. Looks like a possible bug with AES to me. Sticking with wpa2-tkip setting for now.
I'm having this same exact issue.
Anyone who knows what to look for to fix this, what info or files do you need from me? I'm at the end of my tether with this ****
I am having the exact same issue on my galaxy tab s2, even on the replacement. Due to the being such an intermittent problem, it wouldn't do it when Samsung support checked it out...
This happens on both 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz frequency for me. I've tried downloading a wifi fixer, I've reset network settings, and turned off nearby device scanning. I've also tried doing what a forum suggested by changing the ip settings from dhcp to static but it wouldn't connect to wifi at all. Not sure what else to try...
I read that it may be due to nougat 7.0 software. I was suggested by Samsung to first put the tablet on safe mode (this disables third party apps, and would reveil if an app was causing the problem) but the problem still persists. Also did a hard reset on the first tablet I had but it still done the same problem...
I always thought that this was a is problem in 7.0, and was addressed in 7.1. Hopefully, when the next major update comes out, this issue will be resolved.
Oh come on Samsung!
It's been 4 months since the first post and still no solution.
And it's a basic wifi connection!
Internet may not be available! = Samsung may not be available
Heya all. First post I guess
Edit: Gah it was the second. I have to controll myself better and not spam.
So I had the same problem and tried more or less all.
My "solution" was to disable the firewall on the router which means some settings/security there was triggered. My guess is that it's the "Smart Network connection" that trigger it if the phone have both poor Wi-Fi and 4G. It then jumps back and forward = firewall detect strange behaviour and block. That's why there are so many strange "fix" related to the router - hidden network - no security - disable 5Ghz and so on.
Can someone please test asap as I have a plan But if it's not this to test
