Moto Tether or X Tether Xposed modules work a treat and give you back your tether.

I am on verizon and stock and tether without issue via wifi...

I'm unsure if FoxFi plays nice with anyone on 4.1 and above. When I updated the Droid Razr M and (T-Mobile) Galaxy S III at my job to 4.1, they both stopped working and FoxFi suggested that I use PDA Net. I haven't tried it since then, but I'd love to know because I'm looking to use FoxFi on my Nexus 4 when it arrives.
Why is there a need to use a 3rd party app? The wifi tether built into the OS works fine.
I think doesn't work on truly unlimited.

Change the user agent on your pc to an android phone from the carrier.
It functions, but the Tether built into Android works...
Note tethering on Straight Talk is against to TOS.

Does it still work until now? If yes, could you share that UA string?

Foxfi Working!!!

There is no need to do the entitlement check anymore guys, foxfi finally updated and made it where it will work with maxx, mini, and last but not least, Ultra. If you have done the entitlement check then you are set, but if you got caught in the updates and didn't ever do it this is the way to get tethering for only 8 dollars one time!!

Didn't work. I bought the app a long time ago. Wish they would get it right without certificates needed.

I don't know why it isn't working with you, I also bought it a long time ago and it didn't work but was just released yesterday so maybe there are bugs

WOOOHOOO Confirmed FoxFi working again, I also bought it many moons ago, maybe those having trouble are trying to use the free version?
Very much appreciated, the only reason I ever rooted my phone was for tether. Now after OTA there's a cryptogram of crap to go thru for root,
:good:

Same here I'm not trying to have to root again. Hopefully this will work after they send the next official update after the soak test.

I am on the soak and maybe that is affecting things?

I'm not part of any soak test that I'm aware of, I did sign up many moons ago but never received any official correspondence.

There was a workaround that worked for GS4 users but from what I read it didnt apply to us.
Best thing you could do is just wait 4.4 oout
have to wait for 4.4, then tap to pay will work on our device.

That's crap... No way around it with root? When do we think we will get Kitkat

ISIS is just as functional and is working on rooted phones.

Can we get unlocked already

What's the point in buying a phone and paying for a service if I can't do what I wish with my phone. Can we get a petition started to get unlock for this damn phone?

I get how they change more for developer edition but that's a joke.
I paid for a phone and yes its at discount but I'm locked in for 2 years. Ughhhhhhh.
The next phone I get I guess has to be developer edition so I can do the simple task of having my boot loader unlocked.
