Recently htc dev has been working hard. Trying to satisfy htc users
I saw them release kernel sources and roms for devices
Lets ask them : https://mobile.twitter.com/htcdev
They surely will respond
Your voice matters
I agree with you. That's what HTC told me to do
Has anyone succeeded in backing up with MTK Droid Root & Tools?
Each time I back up it says ----
task end with ERROR
I have done it. Who's next?
I contacted htc dev about 4 times this day
Also i see news on gsm arena that we will recive lolipop after 20th Nov and they its confirmed
For me i don't know their source
PS : Is there a way to do a nand bacup , i want to get xposed on KK

Since Samsung stopped supporting the international galaxy S3 model (aka GT-I9300) claiming that the culprit is that it only has 1 GB RAM, so system apps cannot be run correctly, XDA Developers refused to settle down releasing the first milestone named ArchiPort, and here comes the other BIG EVENT.... :victory:
This is a discussion thread for the "back-to-n00t" project by @arter97, where latest Touchwiz Android 4.4.4 ported to the I9300 from the Korean version SHV-E210S, to keep the origional development thread clean and only development-related ...
before getting started, you must remember the what-so-called a disclaimer:
Your Warranty is now voided!
neither @arter97 nor me nor anybody is responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, exploded phones.
It's your choice to flash this ROM, not anybody else. If you don't know what you are doing, then i strongly advice you to do some research, or leave it until it is complete.
Also Mind that this is still Work-in-Progress
-->Features<--
**Stock Touchwiz Android 4.4.4**
**Heavily De-bloated**
**Deodexed, zipaligned, uncompressed**
**De-KNOXed**
What you need to know:
-->This ROM file contains kernel modified specifically for this ROM.
-->This ROM is heavily debloated, so it is very likely to find some system apps missing
-->This ROM does not supports any other custom kernels including arter97 kernel.
-->This is based on Korean firmware, some stuffs may remain in Korean(e.g. Dialer).
-->BusyBox or Superuser is not included!

Can you recommend one, for instance the one you are using??
Congrats!
I want to congratulate to @arter97 for his work, I'll being paying attention until stable ROM release to try it :fingers-crossedOnly one device to use, I can't permit me to lose connection :crying.
Question: I'm from chile... If I install this ROM, need to install local modem to avoid "no network" issue? (Obviously making backup of EFS before flashing).
Thanks!
Note: I can't see screenshots in official post "[I9300] [Touchwiz Android 4.4.4] back-to-n00t; Bring the LTE fun back to 3G". Please, upload more to another site!!!
Note 2: I think is the link in post that no allow me see the pictures.... No!! It's @arter97's website, error 404.

Yeah, that's my fear... I love custom ROMs, but my first experience was awful, I lost connection to network and sim was asking for PIN number... I had to send to repair my S3, only with 2 weeks of usage!!! (that occured 3 months ago) :crying:
Now, I'm using S5 Sensation ROM and I think is great, but I want to try others available developments
Greetings!

Yeah i noticed now
So you advice that thread should be closed?
But I think there will be so much fuss about it later, for example after it was discovered that SMS seems to be fixed with third-party apps.
And when the KK kernel source for the korean model is released, it will be more stable... So
May be @arter97 says something about this thread. If he wants that this thread must be closed then i have no problems... I just wanted to help
I am having connection problems here so i didn't see a lot of replies in the development thread. Thanks for letting me know..
I ask all of you to donate to the developers ..
They work every day to give us a free firmware kitkat stable ...
In a few hours have succeeded with hard work to give us a firmware almost totally stable ... finally soon we will have a stable firmware "semi-official"!:highfive::good:
Sorry for english!
why can not install ?
You need to download the ROM first

As kernel indicates the battery capacity in milliamp Android system , eg have a battery of 3500mAh and 2100mAh system warns all application says that the kernel is providing this information , but the forums only talk about percentage . excuse the word as it is not my native language.

It is also fake as i can see XD device name changes according to phone model you are using (i guess )
This is an obvious scam to steal your money.
When you complete the survey he get money but you need to write your phone number or something like that.

I want that room too, but can't download
looks like all the developers aren't interesting in making a custom roms for S3 I9300I or I93001.
I will build cm 12 as soon as i finish cm 11, without good base it is almost impossible to make higher version of android ...
Also i am planning to add support for 9300i but i will need some developer ( at least someone with small amound of developign experience ) to make it.
THANKS

Hello All. I am Shawn, a very renowned and well-respected dev in the Motorola Moto G 2014 forums. I have various ROMs over their, based both of stock and CM. One of my biggest ROMs over there was Titan Prime with over 50,000 downloads in total! So when I found out Motorola had released a new smartphone I thought why not dev for that as well. So here I am in the Motorola Moto E 2015 forums. I wish to bring exceptional ROMs to this device both based of stock and CM just like I did for the Motorola Moto G 2014. And now I present to you the Surnia Prime ROM! This ROM is based of stock. I made this thread for devs who want to try the ROM and of course give feedback. I don't have a Moto E 2015 so I need you help.

Is there any custom ROM that I could flash on this phone to enable VoLTE?

You cannot update it to VoLTE and there's no official announcement from Lenovo/ZUK on when you can.

Please read the perv post before posting anything..
Zuk z1 doesn't have proper baseband and radio support so you can't get one until those gets updated
So you just can't get voLTE....
Guys, Ask that Question to Lenovo Support.
XDA and XDA Devs has nothing to deal with it.
We will have VoLTE when Lenovo support team provides New MODEM..
TIll then use Jio4gVoice..

Zuk z1 Volte solved
After the release of Marshmallow ROMS, many users are really disappointed to see that VoLTE feature is no longer working, so many devs tried their luck to fix this problem but none of them worked because officially MM was not released. Luckily few days back @Naphtha gave us the latest MM AOSP Qualcomm ROM and now I have a fix for the VoLTE issue, Yes!! Now we can enjoy our beloved Jio Network. So let's start!!
Pre-requistes
1. Unlocked Bootloader
2. You have to be in Marshmallow ROM
Steps
1. Download and extract the MODEM+DSP_MM_FIXVoLTE.zip from link , AFH Link [updated - 18-jan-2017]
2. Put your phone in fastboot mode, then connect your device and Run Flash.bath

Also, I think that is a fix for Kenzo. NOT for ham.

Its meant for Redmi Note 3 ONLY. If anyone tries to flash, they'll brick their phones.
Hello @strongst,
I know you would be pretty annoyed after reading further but...I have some questions about VoLTE.
My Questions :
1) Do you know what is the exact problem regarding VoLTE support on our phone? Is it just the firmware driver (the same we can see in QPST)? It seems that the internet doesn't have a whole lot of answers.
2) Does any phone having Qualcomm Modem and having VoLTE support work on our phone too? Although, I didn't find any device having SD 801 having VoLTE BUT I found this company called becrypt and they have this phone called "tough mobile". The specifications are listed HERE. They say that it supports VoLTE.
PS : I chose this thread because at least the OP knows how to write "VoLTE" properly.
Hello, I recentley bought this phone and awaiting delivery. I will root install TWRP and flash a custom rom as soon as I get it. I have a few questions.
1) Did I do good to buy this phone , meaning is there still advance in development, is there future in this phone ,is it really as good as I heard? ( I could buy it cheap the international version for 130 dollars)
2)Can someone recommend me a good custom multilang rom ? or should I stay on official roms ?
3)Do official roms get OTA updates ?

1) no. There isn't manufacturer support anymore. The development is quite good on xda but in my opinion there are other phones with better development from manufacturers(and that's needed cause the drivers need to be up to date)
2)official rom see above. It's old, outdated no security patches. Don't stay with it, it has too many bugs)
3)see above. No official roms anymore.
Would recommend to cancel order and invest it in another device. There are several threads if you need assistance.
I had this device since release and know all the ups and downs of it. The development on xda is great but the manufacturer did a bad job.
