Was looking for a list of apps that use Samsung's fingerprinting technology?
I know of Samsung pay, Lastpass, PayPal and Samsung's browser. What else?

No dates, nothing specific, but they've confirmed they're doing it. If they're as good with handwriting recognition as with prediction, they should be far better than Samsung. Truth is I never used the handwriting function in Samsung's keyboard because recognition sucked!
-Here there should be a link but XDA does not let me because of spam or whatever. Just google "Swiftkey looking beyond the keyboard".
"We have been inundated with requests from lots of companies, not just mobile phone makers," Medlock tells Pocket-lint. "We are working on people using different styles of interface for different environments. Maybe it is looking at handwriting, or when you are typing on a phone, or a tablet - whatever it is, we see ourselves expanding our portfolio of products to provide this whole range of services."
Medlock confirms to Pocket-lint that that includes a stylus version of the software to be used on devices like the Samsung Galaxy Note and the HTC Flyer, among other things.

Basically they want to know your voice, your handwriting, everything.
I have been in contact with Samsung Customer service, UK, Spain and Poland... The thing is they are not able to give me an answer and in my opinion they are lost about this problem.
Main advertised apps/widget for the NotePro 12.2 are missing in UK, Spanish and Polish firmware. Do you have this apps available on your Magazine UX??
1. Weather and brief
2. Frequently used apps
3. S Note !!
4. Magazine favorites
5. Contacts
6. S Magazine bookmarks
7. Samsung hub...
I read several sites and forums, and the explanations given are devoted to the new agreement between Samsung and Google. Seems that Google wasn't too happy about the Mag UX.
May I ask you for your opinion about this??. Why the user always has to lose when it comes about benefit of multi-nationals?. I understand that every company will look for maximize their benefit, and we already paid a good amount of money for this tablet... but we should get (at least) an explanation or official information about why Samsung:
1 - Is delivering the new devices without all app/widgets available?. Or at least let people find it and install them.
2 - If the number of apps/widgets comes deliberately limited, why don't let us uninstall the Mag UX?.
I know if I spend some time following other threats I will be able to install other launchers, or root the Tablet and install more Mag UX apps..... the points is, I paid for a device that it should be ready to work/productivity ( see Ces2014 presentation of Samsung were they describe the meaning of Pro devices ).
Maybe instead of losing my time with Samsung Customer Service I should do what other NotePro users did, and customize my tablet by my own....
What is your opinion about this?
I installed Apex as my very first app, and as such Magazine UX is entirely irrelevant to me. I don't have access to it, nor do I feel the need to have 4-6 massive single-coloured blocks on my screen. Magazine UX is the worst thing to come to Touchwiz since Touchwiz itself.
If I wanted a screen that looks like Godzilla vomited Lego, I would've bought a Windows tablet.
I've disabled Samsung Hub, Weather Widget and most of the other bloatware, so I can't test either way.
Samsung isn't selling it with a clear text saying "We promise all these Apps". So there's not a single legal thing you can do about it. In fact, I'm fairly sure the promo video had a "Apps not available in every country" message somewhere in there.
Samsung is delivering the devices without all the bloatware because people asked for less bloatware. You can't have both. And because there are parts of the world, a great many, where copyright organisations are more powerful than the governments, and as such they simply can't. Most European countries beings amongst those.
As for why they don't let us uninstall it, for the same reason Google hid the developers options under a 7x tap. Because 99.99% of the users are complete technological retards who click on everything they can set their sights on, don't think it through and then blame Samsung(or Google) when something goes horribly wrong due to their own incompetent actions. Most of them are too stupid to link "Delete this Launcher section" to the consequential vanishing of said screen. Hell, most of them barely know what a launcher is to begin with.
Keep in mind that installing another launcher will disable Magazine UX.
The fingerprint sensor in the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge has a neat little feature. Some of the uses that were advertised include securing access to the device as well as authorizing PayPal and Samsung Pay payments. It also has another feature which will allow users to log into websites by simply using the fingerprint that they have already set up. This means that users will no longer have to enter username and passwords on websites that they regularly visit. Simply tap to login and then use the fingerprint sensor.
The Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge will automatically ask users if they want to use this feature when they log into a website for the first time using their credentials. If they accept from that moment onwards whenever they have to log into that website they simply use the fingerprint sensor. Those who don’t want this feature can continue to use their credentials. This isn’t groundbreaking stuff, iPhone users can already do this courtesy of iCloud Keychain, but it certainly adds more value to the fingerprint sensor on Samsung’s latest flagships.

This was already a possibility on the Note4...but I agree a good option to have!
The concern here is security. Both Apple and Samsung have had their security snafus. That can be a very real concern when it regards how its possible to snag the fingerprint ID hash created if that portion is not secured well.
Marketing security can be nice and feel goods, but from a technical standpoint, what is the reality?
As much as I want this phone, I also don't need my personal information getting swiped because of poorly implemented security.
I will get the phone regardless, and likely will spend some time testing the security features.
It's a good idea!

Hi guys!
The last Android device I used was Galaxy S2 and since then I have used iPhones and I my pre-ordered S8 should ship anytime now.
I wanted to ask if there's anything I should know about any significant feature changes that have happened over the years with Android?
While I haven't been living under the rock, I still feel there's got to be tons of minor features released which are useful but could very well be missed by someone who hasn't used Android for a while
Also I wanted to ask how the adoption of fingerprint scanning on Android apps is?
I used iOS' TouchID (fingerprint authentication) all the time for my bank apps, stock portfolios and placing online orders at restaurants, etc. Is the adoption the same with Android?
I've been using the fingerprint scanner since I got my S6 and you can use your fingerprint to unlock certain apps, like I use it to get into my bank app, carrier app, Samsung account. Not sure what other apps have adopted the use of the fingerprint scanner off the top of my head, as I've only had experience with the apps I've mentioned.
It's been a helluva long time since the S2 so you're damn right a lot's changed! In terms of the fingerprint scanning, most use them but it's not universal. I have sports betting apps for example that haven't adopted it yet. Banking apps / PayPal / Android Pay are all good to go though.
There is far more support for fingerprint scanning in apps on iOS since the feature has been available for a longer time. You have to pick the apps you need on Android with fps support.
Hey everyone I've noticed a lot of questions in forms concerning compatibility with the S3 frontier and the OnePlus 6t however a few months old. I currently have a Samsung phone that I want to change out to the OnePlus however I don't want to give up the functionality of the smartwatch in regards to Samsung pay etc. Is anyone using a non rooted OnePlus and the S3 frontier with full capabilities?
I have the g3 Frontier. Once I downloaded the Samsung software, everything works, including samsung pay.
One plus and s3
Awesome now is there anything that you can't do with the watch and a OnePlus 6t or does it have full functionality? did you download the Samsung pay app from the play store or did you have to find a special APK what. Also what about Samsung health?
