I have downloaded and sideloaded 3 amazon apps that I read somewhere that was supposed to enable me to play Amazon prime videos. I can not watch any of the videos nor can I watch the videos I downloaded. Anyone had any luck with Amazon videos?

How does the Kindle Fire do playing a 1080p video off YouTube ?
Every couple months, I look for ways to watch Amazon video on the mojo. But every time, the app crashes. I found this while looking for Amazon video for my Shield TV. It may be well know, but it's is fantastic find for me.
I used the Amazon VOD apk found in this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/shield-tv/development/amazon-prime-video-demand-android-tv-t3278778
Huge thanks to will.blaschko!
I use a mouse and I can't figure out how to pause, maybe the controller can do. But I don't care. I can finally watch Amazon video. Thank you XDA!
I've bought a 6th gen Kindle 8 and noticed that when I load up Amazon Prime Video, I can video videos through my Prime subscription, but not all videos are showing on there.
Things like Sneaky Pete, the videos are listed, but only the Pilot is showing as available to watch. The rest say Unavailable.
A number of TV series are like this.
Has anyone else noticed? Or have the same problem?
They videos show available and play fine on my android phone and NVidia Shield TV - but some show as unavailable when on my Kindle HD 8 6th gen.

how did you go? last time i tried it transcoded everything and the buffering made it unwatchable.
Could you please share your experience with this new app?
I have my stick connected to my 5.1 Home Cinema HDMI port. At theokwnt I'm getting 5.1 sound from Netflix and Amazon Prime.
I was hoping that with dedicated YouTube app I will also get 5.1 sound. When on 9th July I downloaded and installed this new YouTube app I was excited as I played my purchased movies and inhad 5.1 sound.
Today when I started watching another purchased movie it is only stereo. I checked other movies from my YouTube library and now they all play stereo. Netflix and Amazon Prime are still playing 5.1.
I'm wondering if google have changed something or YouTube app have been updated in a meantime.
Also the video quality I can select watching purchased videos is showing max 480p however the video looks like 1080p so not sure what's going on. For other regular videos I can change quality to 1080p.
Can someone suggest any fix?
Thanks for comments.
Update 1
I think google/YouTube is doing something as today I can see quality options to have 1080p included now. However the sound is still 2.0. Hopefully they will change this too.

Any chance you can upload the apk for the new YouTube app? You would really help many poor fellows like me
