Tethering from laptop or smart TV ? - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Unlike those tethering to a laptop, I wonder whether doing wirelessly the other way around (as well as from a smart TV) is possible.
I tried all combinations (through Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth) with no luck.
Is that possible at all ?
Thanks,

Use PPC as a wifi network adaptor for desktop pc?

Anyone know if its possible to utilise the onboard WIFI adaptor in ppc (i.e blueangel, Universal etc) so that if connected to a desktop or laptop pc using usb cable, that standard pc could access WIFI via the PPC's WIFI capability?
In other words piggyback the PPCs WIFI connection to give a desktop PC without WIFI, WIFI access via the PPC?
It strikes me this would be kinda cool! 8)
I've been trying to do the exact same thing. Want to connect a laptop (no wireless) with a PPC to adhoc network. Internet works fine on the PPC, but wont connect on the laptop. Any help.

N7 Bluetooth Internet

So I am working on making a custom Launcher for my N7 to be installed into my dash of my car. One simple thing I am trying to do is tether the internet from my Galaxy S4 via bluetooth to my N7. It has worked once, though now my N7 will refuse to make the internet option stay connected. Anyone have any ideas why? Maybe my S4 is blocking it?
I have been using an old Nokia for bluetooth tethering and the app BlueVPN on my N7. I haven't had any issues with the connection dropping. Does Samsung provide their own software for bluetooth tethering?
I do know that as of now, there are various apps that do not detect an internet connection when you're only connected through the bluetooth method I use due to a bug, for example the browser works fine but you cannot download apps from the market unless you are also connected to wifi.

[Q] tether w/ xbox one or ps4

Anyone use their phones with tethering to power these new consoles?
Will mainly use it for streaming purposes i.e. netflix and what not. I know some devices have issues connecting to the way tethering is set up on phones, so was just curious if any of you guys do it and if it works at all.

I do this indirectly with my xbox 360. I tether my HTPC to the Note through a wireless dongle and then the PC shares it's connection through to the xbox via an Ethernet cable. The two connections are bridged so all the xbox sees is a wired connection with internet access. I can stream Netflix, xbox movies etc fine using this method.
Yea I do this on my 360 also because it doesn't have the built in wifi. However, knowing the one has built in; I hope i can just wirelessly tether.
Anyone else have this setup? Or the ps4 even. Whether there's any issues.

Connect to Chromecast without Wifi

Hi guys,
Is there any way to connect an unrooted android phone to Chromecast without a WiFi? My phone will have an internet and it can use it's hotspot to connect to Chromecast. But, turns out, turning hotspot on will turn off the Wifi automatically. This seems to be a unsolvable problem, do any of you guys know any better?
Problem:
I'm trying to connect my phone to a LCD display in my car. The car display has a video input. So, if I can connect Chromecast with a HDMI to video converter, then I can have my phone control that display. I don't necessarily have to use Chromecast, I can use whatever... like Amazon fire stick or something if those are better for this purpose.
I appreciate any inputs. Thanks.
I haven't done it yet personally but you need another phone or device to act as the hotspot or wifi.

Heres the video.
Simplified Instructions maybe?
-Turn on your phone's WiFi hotspot
-Connect a computer to it
-Set up your chromecast to use your phones hot spot as the network
-Plug your chromecast into your radio, TV, or AV reciever.
Do the initial setup for the chromecast on your home wifi, then set your phone's hotspot with the same ssid and password as your home wifi network. When you turn on the hotspot, the chromecast will connect to it automatically and you can stream video from online via the wifi hotspot.

How do I connect my laptop to my smart TV wirelessly?

Hi friends,
I need a little help. I bought a new Android TV, but I am not able to connect it with my laptop.
It could be a problem with the television or laptop.
So I was wondering if a standard laptop is required for that or if I need to install any third-party apps for this because someone suggested I get a smart processor laptop, such as an Intel evo, for this.
Is this mandatory to have an Intel Evo laptop to connect to a smart TV?.
