I have the SM-N900J and was wanting to know the same thing. I was thinking of making a backup with twrp and then flashing a 9005 rom then restoring maybe my modem and boot from my backup. Any flaws in this plan you can see?
GNote3
Hi,
Recently I bought this phone, and now I'm looking for an CyanogenMod/AOSP ROM.
Is there already one? Or could someone create one.
I already tried myself, but without luck.
Thanks in advance
No custom roms or CM rom is available yet for G900FD.
Till now all we can do is Root it and use Xposed framework modules
Yes,
The ROM from normal S5 G900f is running, but without radio.
Difficult to insert the Multi-SIM part?
me 2
i am waiting for cm to be ported to my FD
I'm also waiting for it as I already tried Nameless ROM but Radio is not working.
How about kernel ? Can I use G900F kernel on G900FD ?
Yes, you can flash a ROM for the 900F onto 900FD, But then you will not have radio.
WLAN and everything is working. Just the missing RIL driver in the kernel.
Yep I'm desperate for a better ROM for my SG-900FD as well. Mine is so buggy.

Isn't it possible to flash the RIL files separately, just like we can do the modem flash separately in HTC devices?.
The part which is seperately flashable is the Firmware for the modem. what is missing in the ROM is the driver to access the modem. Recently I found a custom kernel for G900FD. so it should be possible to create a fitting kernel. Tomorrow I will post the link. then it would be good if someone who knows how to create will build the kernel.
Here the link for the kernel sources:
https://github.com/frogfire/G900FD-Kernel
I will try to build one again today.
It's me again,
Unfortunatley I didn't get it managed to compile the kernel.
Anyone who knows how to do? Or could maybe do that?
If needed I can provide a build environment.
Galaxy G900F themes/apps to G900FD Models
Hi,
May I know, can I use all of the support provided here (S5 G900F Themes & Apps Section) for S5 GM900F can also be flashed/installed/re-used in G900FD too?
Is the build.prop is same for both of these devices or is there any changes possible?
Lastly, Is it possible to make G900FD model working by using ROMs which are modified to work on G900F model?
I thought keeping the dual SIM Radio/Kernel (for Dual Sim Version) intact with no change in them should not create problem even if changing the ROM.
Please let me know if its wrong.
G900D
:crying: i want to buy this device the only reason i didn't do it because there no cm rom for it :crying: :crying:
i hope some day we can have it
+1
is it posible to install the original firmware of the G900MD in the G900FD to use the MD bands in LTE?

When you say "radio" is the phone line? Work 2 chip?
All I asked today, said that it does not work the rom G900F in G900FD.
i want cm to my s5 duos:crying::crying:
Hey XDA I have rooted and installed custom roms on various android devices in the past, and am now working on my Note 4.
I have it rooted and TWRP installed , but am now unsure if I need to flash a different modem or bootloader. I understand that the Canadian variant uses the T-Mobile Roms.
I am looking to install CMRemix http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/development/rom-cmremix-rom-v2-5-12-23-14-t2981479 which is a T-Mobile Rom.
Will I simply download and flash it or do I need to do extra work first?
Thank you, and I apologize for posting this question. I was slowly going crazy after searching the forum for these things to no avail!
I figured it out. I checked by bootloader and it was up to date. I was having issues with Odin, but after reconnecting the USB cable 6 different times it finally picked up my phone in Downloading mode!
No worries. It seems that the N910W8 is basically the same hardware as the N910T3.
In the same way the Note 3 T-Mobile was the same as the Note 3 Canadian variant.
No need to worry about modems assuming yours is up to date.
Although, I must admit that while CM Roms tend to have interesting features, they lack support for some of the built-in hardware, and the battery life has been inferior in my own experience.
You should check out Temasek's CM versions.
Have fun
I have an SM-P585. Can I flash an SM-P580 rom on it. Will I only loose cellular connectivity or will it not work at all.
Thanks.

I'm sorry for being one of the few who answers you this question. Just a few months ago I bought an used P585 tablet. After extensive research, it seems that the main side-effect you might have if you flash a P580 ROM in a P585 is losing LTE feature.
But I haven't tried it. If you only use WiFi, I think this would not be so bad. It is up to you trying.
I am also looking for some ROM for the P585.
I already tried to install the T585/T580 ROMs, but it doesn't work.
I think it's because of the model, because it has a slightly different name ( gtaxllte Vs gtanotexllte )
Information about P585.
Device Name: gtanotextllte
Device: Model SM-P585M
Device CPU: arm64-v8a,armeabi-v7a,armeabi
Does anyone here already found ROM for P585?
Hi,
i bought my Tab4 Plus on Amazon Marketplace and it should be the LTE Version. But i can't use a Sim Card because there is a bar where i should place the card. I can only insert the sd card. But in settings i can see its the TB-X704F whats means its the LTE version. I have flashed the rom myself. Is it possible i've flashed the wrong stock rom? All works expect using some of my bluetoth devices. On my last tablet flashing an other stock rom failed in TWRP. Is this possible with the Tab4 Plus?
I ask this because i'm thinking about flashing a custom rom and i want to choose the right rom.
