Play Store crashes on update

Whenever I try to update or download an app the play store downloads the necessary files and then instantly chrashes. The only message I get is "Google Play Store was closed". Afterwards I can reenter the Play Store without problems.
What I already tried:
- clear Play Store cache and settings
- delete Google account
- reboot several times
My device is running stock 4.2.1 with Play Store version 3.10.10.

I know you said you cleared your play store cache but did you also force stop it and clear all data as well? Try clearing data and force stopping Google services framework

No, stopping Play Store, clearing cache and stopping Google Services Framework couldn't fix the problem. I then tried to reset the Store to the factory version (3.9.17 I think) and wooosh updates are now working again :good: A bit panic was left that the Store App will get the same problem again once it updates itself to 3.1.10 but apparently it still updates perfect.

Play Store Doesn't Work

Hello everybody I had an issue, I updated my Lg from KK 4.4.2 to Lollipop 5.0.2 via OTA, but when it finished my google play doesn't open, there's a message saying "You need to update my google play services, google play services won't open until you update google play services" also the games can't open or work well.... What can I do about this problem?

you can try to clear cache/data of playstore app first... or go to apk mirror site and download coresponding google plays services
i.e. this one (latest for 480dpi resolution and arm7 lollipop)

I,probably,deleted google play services and now it asks me to update and then says google playstore is not working please any ideas?

Google play services missing on Galaxy On5

First off thank you for your time and this phone is rooted and xposed framework is installed. So google play services just straight up disappeared. It's not in disabled apps or anything.. If I go into Titanium Backup "com.google.android.gms" is crossed out as if it is uninstalled. What can I do to get google play services back? I've searched these and other forums and I see I need to flash Google Play services back onto my phone but how do I find out what version I need if google play services is missing from all apps? Any help or version info for this phone will be greatly appreciated.

Help! Google Play Store has stopped

Dear Friends, after update to 023S, Google Play Services has stopped. Please help!
Background info : LeTV X800, CN version, unrooted phone, Android 6.0.1, stock rom 5.9.023S.
After official update from 20S to 23S, there is a message “Sorry, Google Play Store has stopped”. When I open the app, there is an error message “Error retrieving information from server”. Also Spotify and Polaris Office apps do not work anymore. I have cleared Play Store cache and data, but without success. I even has deleted and loaded again via the Leeco store, no success again.
Since the phone is not rooted and I do not to root it yet, are there any other ideas how to fix these problems? Thanks in advance!

Try to set full range of Permissions for Google Play services and Store... especially for Location (Maps/Earth/Street View) & Microphone ("OK Google"). You know: System settings/App management/Google Play services or Store/Permissions
