HCQS Guide for Improve Your Galaxy Note 5’s Battery Life

Given how battery life is high on everybody's priorities when choosing a smartphone, it's only natural that people reacted that way. Samsung Note 5 A smaller battery, all things being equal, obviously means shorter run time for the juicer.
1.
Reduce that brightness!
That Samsung Galaxy Note 5’s 5.7-inch QHD screen is big, beautiful and bright. The only problem is that it is also a resource hog, and those are exactly the reasons why. If you really want to expand battery life, you should watch out for that screen. One way to continue enjoying your phone and save energy is to reduce brightness. It’s easy to do. And unless you spend a lot of time outdoors, chances are you are overdoing the brightness, anyways.
2. note 5 ultra power saving mode
Use Ultra Power Saving Mode
Go to Settings > System > Power Saving > Ultra Power Saving Mode > On. You can enable or disable apps like: “Phone”, “Messages”, “Internet” or tap “+” to add more apps in the ultra power saving mode.
3. note 5 display brightness and screen timeout
Reduce Screen Brightness & Screen Timeout
Go to Settings > Quick Settings > Display > Brightness > uncheck the Auto and drag the slide to the left to adjust the screen brightness. Also, set the Screen Timeout under the tap of Display.
4. note 5 smart stay
Toggle off Smart Stay
Go to Settings > Display > Smart Stay and toggle it off.
5. note 5 motions and gestures
Turn off Motions and Gestures
Go to Settings > Motions and Gestures and disable the 4 options.
6. Super AMOLED: more blacks, less whites
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 sports a gorgeous Super AMOLED screen. Colors are vibrant and blacks are super deep. This also means the screen uses much more energy to reproduce
lighter colors. In addition, picturing the color black will use no energy, as the pixel will technically be turned off (this is how AMOLED panels achieve such deep blacks).
7. note 5 abnormal battery usage
Check Abnormal Battery Usage
Go to Settings > Battery > Abnormal Battery Usage and monitor the battery draining apps, update, remove or reinstall them.
8. note 5 go grayscale
Go Grayscale
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Vision > and turn on Grayscale if you use the screen all the time, for example, reading.
9. disable wifi always scanning
Let Wi-Fi Scan While It is On
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > More > Always allow scanning > Scan only while Wi-Fi is on.
10. note 5 vibrations
Set Vibrations
Go to Settings > Sound & Notifications > Vibrations and set the vibration intensity and other options according to your needs.
11. note 5 auto scan
Switch off Auto Scan
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Universal Switch > Settings > and switch off Auto Scan.
12. note 5 gesture wake up
Shut down Gesture Wake Up
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Dexterity and Interaction > and shut down Gesture Wake Up.
13. note 5 interaction control
Disable Interaction Control
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Dexterity and Interaction > and disable Interaction Control.
14. note 5 dark theme
Pick up a Dark Theme
The Galaxy Note 5 comes with an AMOLED display screen, which power saving capability works perfectly in a black background as it needs more power to visualize the white screen.
15. Remove or disable apps you don’t use
How many of you are app hoarders? I know I am. It’s easy to download and keep all those awesome apps in your phone, which is great if you use them all, but that is hardly ever the case. Look through your applications and uninstall whatever you don’t need. If you can’t uninstall them (bloatware), just disable them from the app manager.

Music visualizer enabled with daydream mode via Nova Launcher

If you use RR rom or any other custom rom like RR then you probably know that when you play a song then the music visualizer (aka 'pulse' under configuration >nav bar) floats upon the navbar, and so i wanted to turn that feature on when the screen was off and so i did a trick to enable it with daydream mode and i thought it might look cool and it does looks amazing on AMOLED screens, if its having a black background on an amoled display then the pixels are turned off as you all know and thus turning on with daydream mode really looks amazing so i thought of sharing this wih you all
First enable daydream mode under display & lights and select clock now tap on that setting icon right next to it now go ahead and select your style that you want, i had selected digital and turn on night mode now select when to daydream on the upper 3 dots (drop down menu) and set to either
Now go into nova settings and select gesture & inputs and now you need to select a gesture it can be anything but i had select swipe up now go to shortcuts and select activities, now scroll way down till you see System UI and tap on it and now select daydream and you're done. Now you can go into display & lights again and you can increase its display timeout, I set it to 60 minutes when i listen to music without charging and when i don't i set it back to usual timeout 30 sec
To activate this see the images down below
enjoy

Change Icon size on S7 edge Nougat

I updated to nougat today. Icons seems a little larger for my taste. I used to use condensed mode on MM. Any way I can make icons smaller?
The display scaling should be under display settings
I had same problem after updating to Nougat.
Fixed as follows:
Settings > Display > Easy Mode
Enable Standard Mode
Click "Done"

Help finish my launcher

back in 2014 i started on a ui design i called symetiumos, i was able to find a team to make it into a launcher but i ended up getting scammed by them they simply left me with it in a very broken unusable state, i released the launcher on the playstore and despite it being broken the response has been overwhelming, so far it has nearly 5 stars and over 300 downloads, i am looking for someone that can help me finish the launcher and fix it's bugs
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.symetium.ui.launcher&hl=en
this is a full list of everything thats remaining some things can be skipped such as automatic appsorting or the modes system (modes system works by combining two identical settings screens into one, it's like backing up your settings on a random launcher, my launcher would have two settings screens one for portrait one for landscape it would use each depending on orientation it's like a launcher that has portrait and landscape settings for grid, but my launcher has it for the entire settings screen, so if you set the color layer to red in portrait and green in landscape then it will be green when you flip the phone, because the launcher changes to a new settings screen in landscape, it's like if you kept backups of multiple settings configs then have the launcher flip between them, each mode uses two settings screens identical ones only difference being what the user adjusts them to.
the main bugs are
1.full appdrawer needs to be replaced or repaired it lags, the icons in it are offcentered, the full appdrawer button needs to be 4 dots, it should be pullable down right now you need to press the x to close it you should be able to pull it down like any other appdrawer, if you set it to disabled then the button should not be visible any more.
2.the "system" category needs to be removed it lags and it shouldn't be there, the team added it based on a guess.
3.when scrolling through apps the dockmenu can close itself this is a bug
4.you should be able to scroll all around the dockmenu so when you get to the end category it scrolls back to the homescreen like you'd expect and vice versa meaning if you scrolling the other side you will enter the dockmenu from the last category rather than first, right now it blinks out rather than scrolling
5.homescreen appdock needs work right now it's pretty limited you can't set any icons or even what the current icons do, it also needs a button to enable or disable it
6.a menu needs to be made for customization of categories
7.homescreen needs the standard pinch menu to get to the launcher settings button, wallpaper button etc
8.launcher needs a general settings section with the following options
enable/disable navigationbar (this simply enables or disables the navigationbar in the current mode and orientation)
enable disable statusbar (this simply enables or disables the stock android statusbar in the current mode and orientation)
enable disable persistent statusbar (this makes it easy or difficult to reveal the statusbar, right now it's difficult and you can't do anything about it)
enable disable persistent navigationbar (this makes it easy or difficult to reveal the navigationbar, right now it's difficult and you can't do anything about it)
9.the launcher should not resize itself depending on dpi all sizes should be available on any device and any dpi, the launcher needs a "dockmenu size" option under dockmenu where the user can set any size that is available through different dpi's, size settings needs to work for the custom statusbar as well, the dock has many more size options through dpi changes rather than the size options in settings so add all these options in settings and prevent it from resizing itself depending on dpi
automatic dpi resizing can be ok if it chooses a setting from the settings menu, just like when windows chooses a resolution thats recommended) the user should be able to have any size they want on any device regardless of dpi, if automatic then it should simply choose a size thats available in the settings.
10.color layer bugs not filling properly and the dock glitching out sometimes where the home icon dissappears and the dot no longer works.
these are the most of whats broken.
full list of whats remaining is below, if anyone wants to help me finish my launcher please let me know.
