I saw Motorola's blog post, but my device doesn't have anything available yet. As a matter of fact, I still don't even have the updated Google Calendar 5.0. I'd rather see the Play Store offer it than install the APK manually. Not sure when that will happen.
Keep checking. I have 2 on hand. One received it immediately, the other kept saying your device is up to date. Checked a short while later and it was there
Any word on if this official OTA will be pushed to those of us running the leaked .5 Lollipop build? Or will we still need to downgrade to stock 4.4.4 to receive the update? Thanks!

This is what I want to know too. I know it just started rolling out, but does anyone know yet?
You have no choice but to downgrade back to 4.4.4 using the images Moto released yesterday. Instructions are available throughout the threads here. There is not going to be a .5 lollipop to the final version. Nothing will come OTA to your device. I took the time last night to flash back.

Sigh. Thanks a lot for the answer, guess I'll have to flash back to stock this afternoon when I get home!

Is that actually confirmed by Motorola? Seems odd they would offer a soak test and then tell all the testers to go back to 4.4.4 (which is far more challenging) to get the official update.

Yes, the update for the soak test users was only sent to them and no one has captured or released it.

That is the full update for 4.4.4 to the final version of lollipop. That's not a .5 to .6 update.

How much time for branded devices? I have an att dev.
I still have no update yet... Does the official OTA affected by the "root issue"? Also i'm curious if i will see OTA on my device if it's rooted?
If you carefully read my OP here, you'll understand the situation if you're on the .5 or .6 builds

Where is the one with the K at the end? I think maybe the decryption process is different per image as each image has their own stock kernel (boot.img) with decryption.
it's just above those with l and m

I'm receiving my 6P Thursday, but all the guides I see for unlocking and decrypting are for 08K. After I get my 6P to 08K unlocked and decrypted, can I still take these updates?
MDB08L Root Tutorial?
How can I root my nexus 6p with the build number, MDB08L? I just got the November update. I have been trying to root ever since I got this phone but I can't find a solid tutorial, because of my build number changing. Does any one have a good link?
I manually flashed M update last night before rooting it and I had to decrypt the rom so that root could work. All fine now.

I used this to unlock, root and install TWRP. I had the same build as you.
SKIPSOFT TOOLKIT
I guess I bit off more then I can chew... I'm really new to rooting and I really want to get in to it. But all I only ever rooted my old nexus 5 and that was extremely simple lol. This new nexus 6p to me feels like you need experience and I don't want to brick my phone. The different build numbers hesitate me. Videos make it a lot simpler for me so I can follow step by step and see what is supposed to happen.

Make sure you flash Chainfires boot.bin and install SuperSU zip in TWRP. Dont say yes if you exit TWRP and it asks you to install root.
Question: What is the big difference between L and M? BTW, my N6P automatically updated to L. So I'm not sure if what Android Police says is right or not.

Not sure what the difference is (most likely the monthly security updates but thats pure assumption) but i was able to unlock and root on build M with the same instructions as the K build

That was the question/concern I have as well. I just got my 6P two days ago and the November security update was pushed to my device. However it shows I'm on the L build and not the M build. How long does it take for an OTA to be pushed to your device? I would assume if M is newer than my phone should get it? It's just weird that I have the most up to date security patch but not the most up to date factory image and IDK why that is. Thanks.
Not every update is for every phone region. If we haven't gotten an 08M OTA there's a reason.
Sent from a 128th Legion Stormtrooper 6P
Saying then if on L build won't get the M? If that's the case if on L shouldn't consider flashing M images?

Yes the update is out in the wild, there's even factory images.
The 6P has the update but you'll have to wait till Google pushes it to your device or just learn how to flash Factory Images /OTA files if you're impatient.

I'm guessing because of the New Year's Holiday the push was delayed. I would suspected it would have come out today. So if it's not out yet, then I'm maybe next Monday. That's if they stick with their current deployment scheme.

Probably U.
In the past on the Nexus devices the earlier letter is the general release and the latter was for some specific carrier. My bet is the V version is a continuation of the Q fork from last month for some overseas carriers.
Edit. Over in the XL forum VZ customers and Vodephone are getting U OTA.
Just a heads up, I don't know if I did something wrong but I sideloaded the V update and now lost root. Let the phone boot after updating, fastbooted TWRP, deleated fstab, flashed SR5 and nothing but bootloops. I can reflash the V OTA and get my phone back but can't get root. At least not with SR5. Going to try flashing the U factory image (if it will let me) and see if that fixes it.
Edit:
Reflashed the V OTA, booted TWRP, flashed SR4, deleted fstab, flashed SR4 again, and phone boots fine with root.

Google updated the image site, V is for Europe/O2 and U is for everyone else.

Well since you have their ear, perhaps you can tweet them to update the OTA images with descriptions. Only the full images have that. Not that it's hard to deduce but since some people sideload the ota rather than wait it might be nice.

EE simlocked uk versions got nmf26u, i'd think if you have nmf26o then you have the current version for your carrier, which carrier is 'o'
is there a way right now to get the bootloader unlocked on a verizon pixel xl...... 7.1.1?
Want to change my build from Verizon NBD91V to N4F26O for all other carriers. Any easy way to do it? Can I side load an OTA or do I have to side load a factory image and lose all my stuff? Any other way to do it? I'm stuck on 7.0 and would like to update to 7.1.1. or 7.1.2.
Thanks

Yes, you can easily flash between builds/carriers with no ill effects. Download the full Google stock image (not OTA) and do it manually with flash-all.bat (first edit this file in Notepad to remove the -w (wipe) switch so as to not lose your userdata) or you can install and use a toolkit like NRT or Skipsoft found here on XDA to automate the process. Google has released a few images specific to Verizon that included a modified radio, but that radio also works well on all networks. Current radio version is v03.79 for Verizon and v03.78 for all others.
You could always flash a custom rom.
So I flashed a stock image, will I still get OTA updates? Haven't gotten Feb. Update yet.

If you did flash stock, and remained completely stock (ie. not rooted, no custom recovery or kernel) you should get regular OTA security updates. Your OP says you wanted to flash N4F26O which is the February update. March updates are coming out this week, so I would just wait to receive a March OTA. If you get tired of waiting, then side load the March OTA when it is posted.

The only way I know of to try to force an OTA is to swap a SIM from a different carrier into your phone, let it connect (carrier shows in notification). Try to update in settings>>about phone. Then swap your SIM back in. If this doesn't work (it did for me) then.... March updates are coming out this week, so just wait to receive a March OTA.
