Hey guys,
I am using device encryption on my Note3 with CM11.
I am forced to use pin/pattern unlock, but I really dont need it, because I use encryption for other reasons.
I think, there is probably a workaround to change security policy for srceen unlock, but I havent find it yet, can anyone help me out?
Thanks,
Mojo
Hi all,
I was wondering if I'd still be able to use the reactivation lock after rooting my note 4?
As in: If the phone is rooted (using stock recovery) and a factory reset is preformed from bootloader, will the OS prompt to enter the Samsung Account credentials?
Found the following topic, but it did not make things clear:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/help/reactivation-lock-root-t3004321
The model that I'm using: SM-N910F.
Kind regards, Stefan.
Anyone?

I m not sure but it's like this, u can't root if your phone reactivation is on & once u root without reactivation, u can't activate reactivation.

Thanks for your reply, I will not be rooting this phone then.
I would mainly be rooting to be able to use the Moga universal driver for my controller.
But the reactivation lock is really a neat feature that I would not want to lose.
Kind regards, Stefan.
Reactivation Lock
I can confirm (at least with your request having been put in layman's terms!!) that no, the reactivation lock does........NOT work after rooting!
dang. I could swear that after rooting my Note 4 n910G, reactivation lock still works. im positive about it. I did it a few times, checking n unchecking it. But i got sick of Odin errors because of having Reactivation Lock on that i just left it unchecked for then on & havent touched it since. I donr even know how important a feature it is.
Hi guys, so ive had a couple roms in the past on my nexus 6p like pure nexus which i believe kept the encryption of my phone and i very much loved that.
I am now on megapixel rom and when i set the rom up it never asked me if i wanted pin on startup i love the pin on startup AND the pin on TWRP and it decrypts data after the pin only! I would like to encrypt my phone again, how do i do that?
Could someone please guide me on the procedure?
Thank you IN ADVANCE!!!
AFAIK, you just go to Settings / Security / Encryption / Encrypt Phone.
If it says Encrypted under it, you're good to go. If you're encrypted and it isn't asking you for PIN on boot, certain accessibility services will disable the pin on boot.
Hi
Does this device have encryption? It has the option but when you press it it doesn't do anything, is it always encrypted? I thought you needed a password/pin to unlock when a device is encrypted? I tried creating one and still didn't give me any more options.
Thanks
Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to put a lock on the opening of the recovery twrp?
I saw that it was possible but had to have a resolution in 1080p which is not the case for him. Is encryption of the phone from samsung settings sufficient to block a person who backs up the rom?
Because it is not difficult to remove the lockscreen from the twrp.
What do you offer me to protect my data because I have a rooted phone and suddenly twrp activate and easy to access?
Thanks you for your reply.
