Hello,
I got S5 Verizon from my firend as a present. I'm from PL and got it from the US.
Apps are crashing because difference between rom language and app language. Some of in-built apps are annoying.
I would like to install non verizon rom that include more than few language packs and remove activation agent so here are my questions.
Can I root it if it's lollipop 5.0? If yes how to do it?
Can I instal custom or non verizon rom?
Can anyone post me some links to do it step by step?
I'm not a pro, but have some experience with rooting and flashing custom roms, but the older ones like 4.2.2.

New user here, tried to post a question on the original ROM thread but I don't have that access due to being a new user.
Had a question regarding Foxhound ROM for GT-I9505, it is flashable and fully functional on T-Mobile phones since I have did it on mine.
The ROM:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2303239
So...
-Since I have flashed this ROM, my model of my phone changed from "SGH-M919" to ----> "GT-I9505"
-Due to flashing an AT&T Rom, I have lost my T-Mobile Wifi calling feature.
Question:
Is there any way to extract that feature out of a stock T-Mobile Rom and somehow incorporate that into this rom?
Thanks.
Hello,
I'm planning to root the phone and install a custom ROM on my Docomo GS4. But I'm worried that I might not be able to use the Osaifu-Keitai application. This is one the most used purposes of my phone.
I heard that it is not possible to install Osaifu-Keitai in other deivces, although they have NFC, like Nexus 5.
Has anybody installed and used Osaifu-Keitai on a custom ROM?
Cheers.
I would like to know too as I changed my Japanese Huawei P30 pro rom to an European version. Osaifu-Keitai has stopped working for me.
Hi, everyone,
I'm desperately missing Google Play on my China Mobile Galaxy S5, and I'm planning to root it. However, I haven't been able to find any auto-unlockers that support this particular model for the root process.
My biggest concern is still being able to make calls on the phone when I take it on trips back to China (I'm currently in the US).
I'd like your opinion: should I try and root it using a universal root, and then just install the China Mobile radios? Will this even work? The last time I rooted a phone, it was my Verizon GNexus, so it's been a while...
Thanks very much in advance, guys!
Rooting and installing a recovery and gapps will not affect your China Mobile radio. As long as you don't install a custom ROM you will still have access to TD-LTE. I have a G9008V which is rooted and has play store installed using the method in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2712538
It works. You may have some work to do to get play working, but it works and it does not affect the radio.
I have same model SM-G9008v. It's a Chinese variant that dad gifted to me. I know want to install international rom in it... Please help... The links in some previous posts not working for international rom.... I am from Pakistan.. Thanks in advance

If rooted, delete, or rename languages.xml from csc folder, reboot, and you'll have access to all of them.

You didn't give us much information to go on which makes it all but impossible to give you good advice. Most notably, what carrier and country are you going to use the phone in.
If you meant TMB US, Portuguese isn't a language in common use in the US and as you've discerned isn't available. Nor do I think that editing languages.xml will work as I believe that is depreciated in the current Android version. The easiest way to do what you want would be to root and install a 900F based custom ROM that has Portuguese support enabled. ROMs such as Alliance or Phoenix probably fall into that category.
In the alternative, you might be able to get Portuguese support by flashing a full 900F stock firmware to your phone. However flashing firmware from a different variant is not recommended and could soft brick your phone. If you proceed anyway, make an effort to find the matching EUR_Open PIT file and flash both concurrently.
All in all, a custom ROM is the better way to proceed.

Hey guys.
Any of you knows if I can install G900FXXU1CPD2 (which is for G900F) into a G900T, just using Odin? I have been reading and I've seen in many places that a lot of roms for the F version would work on the T version, as long as they're unbranded and have nothing specific on them. This one is supposed to be unbranded (Netherlands) without any kind of bloatware or apps from any mobile provider.
What do I need to do in order to flash it and make it work? Maybe not flashing the bootloader? As mentioned I've seen videos where a G900F rom was flashed into the G900T variant without problems.
And if it can't be done with this one, is there any other unbranded G900F rom that would work with my G900T? Or any G900T firmware pure stock, like Google Play Edition or similar?
I want a clean unbranded rom, as T-Mobile has the weird tradition of removing options (like the data mobile switch) and forcing updates on you (there's no way to disable or stop OTA updates ... and the phone starts downloading them even if you are on 3G/4G!! No way to select "only Wifi" either ).
My G900T has the last Marshmallow version, and it's 100% T-Mobile stock, no root or anything.
Thanks!
Bro to stop OTA Updates just flash latest Twrp And flash ( Beta supersu ) .......
I don't think that stock g900f is work on g900t
Sorry for my bad English
To Enable Mobile Data Toggle
Use QuickPanel Maneger
Like screenshots
But when you restart your phone you need to do this again
Hey!
Thanks for your answers, I am already using a similar solution than QuickPanel Manager, but yeah you have to do this every time you reboot.
However, I would like to get rid of all the nonsense stuff T-Mobile has embedded in my S5, and still have the option to update my phone ... when I WANT, not whenever an OTA update comes and I am on a limited mobile data plan. So I don't want to disable OTAs, just download them whenever I want.
So going back to my point, no chance this G900F firmware would work on my G900T firmware? Both are snapdragon and apparently (as I read everywhere) shouldn't be any problem.
