restore OC3 stock recovery? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Original question was about loading TWRP, but that's impossible I now realize.
New question.
I broke my stock recovery when I tried flashing TWRP on my i337ucugoc3 build.
Phone boots fine, but I can't access the stock recovery to flash the stagefright patch.
Anyone know where I can download the odin flashable file?

In need of assistance with 4.3 root

Hey there, I've recently made the purchase of a samsung galaxy S4 1337m
Once i got it home, the first thing i did was root it via Chainfires Root, and downloaded
rom manager, and installed CWM, and backed up my original OS with the original root
to a SD Card, once i did that I installed Odexed Andriod 4.3 for US and CAN, when i discovered
there was Chainsfire root guide for this version in particular, i tried to install it, what i did was attempt
to flash the latest root onto 4.3 via oden, after which i would flash the modded software to work for 4.3
however, in the process i ended up losing CWM, and the root all together, so i was wondering if anyone
was willing to lend me a hand getting the root onto my 4.3, so i can get my CWM back on.
Thanks!

I haven't used 4.3 but from what I've read I believe you just flash the .zip chainfire provided from recovery.
So now you will have to ODIN back to stock if you lost your recovery, re-root, install recovery (recommend TWRP instead), re-flash 4.3, flash the .zip provided from chainfire in his post here:

Do you know whether or not I'm able to re-flash with oden using the recovery created by CWM?
Or do i need to download the stock rom for my phone, which i imagine I would do a factory wipe
then boot into download mode then flash the stock rom?

The backup created from CWM should be a .zip that is flash-able only from recovery afaik. You will need your stock firmware .tar file and flash with ODIN. This is only if you surely cannot boot into recovery. If you manage to boot to CWM you can flash your backup of course.
Your STOCK firmware can be downloaded here:

Restore stock recovery

Hi Guys,
So I'd rooted the Nexus 4 by unlocking the bootloader and flashing the rooted kernel. I didn't flash a custom ROM after that. So what I had was a 4.2.2 Stock ROM with a rooted kernel so I could use the root functions. Now I get a system update notification after it downloads the new stock 4.3 on its own on my phone. But now since I don't have the stock recovery, selecting " Reboot and install update" after the system update downloads just leads me to the CWM recovery and obviously I don't have a custom update.zip to flash.
So my question is..How do I flash back the stock recovery and hence lose root and update to 4.3 without flashing the STOCK ROM back, thereby keeping my existing apps on 4.2.2. intact? So what I wanna do is flash the stock kernel which restores the stock recovery...Let the stock system update itself to 4.3 and then maybe Root the phone again..
Could someone kindly direct me to a solution?
Would appreciate a quick response
Cheers!
There's no way to restore to stock without wiping everything

Download the factory images, you can find stock recovery inside. Flash the recovery.img in bootloader mode.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Kernel and recovery is 2 separated partition in Nexus 4, so flashing kernel won't restore your recovery.

To flash a flashable .zip file you need a Custom Recovery like TWRP. So,
1. Root your phone with IORoot25. - This will give you root.
2. Download and run AutoRec on your phone. - This will downgrade your bootloader to JB and install TWRP.
3. Boot into Recovery Mode (TWRP) and flash your modem.zip. - This will give you a new modem.
Remember to back up your modem before flashing a new one.
Thank you so much.

Bricked SM-J500FN (After flashing TRWP)

So I rooted my Samsung Galaxy J5 (SM-J500FN) by flashing CF-Autoroot with ODIN, and then I wanted to flash TRWP so I could install XPosed Framework.
After flashing TRWP with no errors on ODIN, if I try to reboot normally or in recovery the screen slowly turns green?
I managed to get into Download mode and connected to ODIN, but I cannot flash a new ROM as you cannot flash .zip files. (I have a LineageOS rom and my Stock ROM with build number J500FNXXU1BQA4)

The screen turns green when you flash the wrong TWRP (not corresponding to your Android version) or when you flash Lollipop roms over Marshmallow and vice versa (except MM/N cm/aosp roms which must be flashed on LP).
You can flash only stock rom (.tar format file) with Odin.
TWRP for lollipop 5.1.1: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development/recovery-samsung-galaxy-j5-t3468844 .
TWRP for Marshmallow 6.0.1: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development/recovery-samsung-galaxy-j500f-t3416960 .
Flash the correct TWRP according to your Android version. I believe you must reflash stock rom with Odin first since you're screen is turning on, but try to flash the correct TWRP first and see if you get rid of your problem. If not, then reflash stock rom and then flash TWRP again.

Wow, thanks a lot.
The thread where I got the TWRP from didn't show that it was for 5.1.1, I flashed TRWP for 6.0.1 and my phone worked again and the TWRP works!
Thanks!!

flashing troubles

I'm having trouble flashing my P8lite with a custom rom, every rom I try twrp tells me it's for hi6210sft and my device is a p8litekirin.
Anyone know a fix for this, or point me in the direction of a rom that does work with p8litekirin?
(I can flash it with a stock rom but then I'd need to install TWRP again, as somehow latest stock firmware seems to overwrite and keeps overwriting custom recovery at every attempt I tried to install. Needed to do a rollback via adb to get twrp working again)
Thanks in advance
First of all before flashing any custom ROM on this device flash B896 first.
It's normal for the custom recovery to be replaced with stock one when you flash stock firmware.
After you flashed B896, reboot the phone into bootloader mode aka fastboot, flash twrp and then try to flash a custom rom of your choice.
