its' 3G mate try checking the official links given in OP.
No use of 4G handset in India. In India 4G users are 0.1% so no point of such handsets. ( Companies don't launch handsets for the reason one need to travel to a 4G available country once )
Airtel 4G is launched in Bangalore. It's even cheaper than 3G.
For 12GB 3G : 1555Rs.
For 10GB 4G : 1000Rs.
Only iPhone 5s and 5c and another ****phone from Airtel supports 4G.
Hope XZ2 supports 4G.

Yes man it has the LTE/4G function but it depends on your carrier too.If u have 4g carrier them u can use LTE/4G
4G support
Can someone post a screenshot of the "Network Mode" screen of an Indian Z1 compact? Now that 1800Mhz LTE will be coming to India soon, it will be good to know if the Indian model actually "supports" 4G.
Could everyone please post the price and the place they bought it from, like grey market or authorized?
Thanks.
Got mine through ebay using flat 10% coupon. Ended up paying just 30k.
Bargain at this price to be honest. Had no plans to buy this. But saw the offer and jumped in. My first Xperia since X10 and Ray.
Not a fan of Sony bloat to be honest. I am not going to use any of those services, but then by now we are used to bloat from all mainstream manufacturers. So far so good.
Sony is giving away case and accidental damage insurance free with this phone. So make sure you get yours when you make the purchase.
Mine is 4g/lte. Model no. D5503. Got it 2 days back.

It is same for everyone. That model supports LTE but not the bands that work for India. It does not support LTE Band 40 2300Mhz which will be used by our carriers.
That is why Sony is not advertising it as LTE phone in India.
Can anyone let us know what the box contains, any unboxing videos from Indian users?
Box has phone, charger, stereo headset, Usb cable, instruction/information booklets, warranty card . Free flip case from Sony as promotional offer. But it is separate package.
From my Xperia Z1 Compact, in your face!

The handset is in stock in all colours through online retailer Infibeam, where it is offering a free case worth INR 1,990 and Xperia Accidental Damage Cover. Snapdeal is also offering the handset, although it is yet to appear at Flipkart.

Any Z1 Compact owner here, wanted to ask a few things I have been reading about
1. Are you facing Flash Bleed issue in low light
2. Can you write to microSD after 4.4 update from inside phone (say using ES file explorer)
3. After 4.4 update, is it true that Z2 camera addons dont work anymore (like Background Defocus and some others)
4. Any case of overheating ?
Also, are you guys facing any issues of lag, slowdowns, stutters or anything, both in JB 4.3 and KK 4.4.
Any other issues faced, please mention.

I wonder if there will be 'Dual Sim' version like the One (M7)?
I am looking for high end dual sim phone and the One fits the bill.
I'm going to get my m8 very soon, hope that the ac version would be sold in Hong Kong, and hope there won't be any differences in software

Judging from past history, there will be a dual SIM version for the China market at the very least.
Also if you notice the SIM tray can be modified to support dual SIM.

I just went into my local Carphone Warehouse to look at the HTC One M8 display that they had.
It has cemented my love for HTC and the One series.
The build quality looked great from what I could see, nice screen, the body felt weighty and premium (although it was hard to hold the device properly - it was smothered with security tagging)
I installed Antutu Benchmarks and started to take a video of it, until a store assistant came over and started a conversation with me... "Can I help you?".
He then proceeded to ask me what handset I had, when he saw it was a One M7 he then told me that the M8 wasn't worth the upgrade (to my dismay, is this his sales technique? Abysmal).
He then told me that the M8 had a 16mp camera, at which point I laughed and said that it didn't - he doggedly tried to reassure me that it did, while I assured him that it didn't.
He did say that one good thing about the handset over my M7 was the fact that it was running Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which my M7 couldn't run, I then showed him my M7 running KitKat - he asked me how and I said I'd rooted it and had installed a Custom ROM, to which his reply was "a what?".
Oh and I also spoke to him about my dislike of the onscreen buttons and the bezel, again to which he replied "what?", so I had to point out to him the difference between my HTC M7 capacitive buttons in the bezel, to the M8 onscreen buttons with added bezel.
He then got what I meant when I told him that it then made the 5" screen 4.7" effective...
I love the staff in the Carphone Warehouse!

No as the update is being released for the M7, I just happened to be rooted and have 4.4.2 installed long before the update was available for my handset.
Anyway, that's off topic, my point is that this salesman was [email protected] and didn't know anything about the beautiful HTC One M8 that he was selling.

Exactly what I am looking for.
I have waited a little while before making my decision on what to buy to see if there will be a new HTC One (M8) version and it looks like there should be.
Would anything beat the HTC One (M8) as a dual sim phone except for maybe a potentially new HTC One Max (M8) dual sim phone.

Wow, people are really fast in creating separate threads for Indian users. I just came here to see if it was created and voila, it's there.
Ok, now back in topic. Hmmm... Looks like a worthy update for me from Z1. Hope it doesn't cross the 50k mark! Price it at 45k and Sony will hit the bulls eye. Also, I'm in US right now and I won't be getting it from T-Mo for sure. So have to rely on Sony store for the unlocked one.
As expected, Z2 users will be pissed off. Chill out, it was expected.

Yeah for sure...being a Z2 owner i kinda feel little bad!!!
But about price lets hope they dont cross 50K because Z2 almost did it and maybe Sony will go beyond this time...competing iPhone 6.
I would want it below 50K..lets hope for the best....:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Well some sources reveal that the price of the phone will be 49999 INR in India if this is true it will be good for Sony as they are not crossing 50K mark as Z2 is still quite new and packs almost all features of Z3.... which is currently selling for 44999 INR.
It would really be good to bind a smart cover SCR24 and NC headset if possible the Smartband Talk and they already screwed the ADP so at least some compensation for that.
I really hope sony does not mess up the release as it did with Z2. I'm talking about faulty phone manufactured which were later refused to be replaced as well.
Hi. Was planning to shift from note 3 to z3 and had some qs for z2 users wrt :
- stability and speed of UI (any random reboots/data loss?)
- is the screen truly shatterproof or is it just a film on the screen
- does the sound 'break' at highest volume on the speaker?
Any other comments welcome
Thx

--z2's UI is quite smooth
--not as strong as gorilla glass 3
--sound is ok not as good as htc one boom sound
my suggestion is its better get z2 rather than z3 bcos z2 price will be lower and performance will be similar to z3 in all important aspects or else this time exynos 5433 A57/A53 cortex based note 4 which will be released in india seems to be really good even with disabled 64bit support
Thx but I need a change from Sammy. Was also considering the one m8, lg3 and xiaomi mi4

Dont bother about Xiaomi its UI is worst to adapt..
Z2 or Z3 bestt choice but if you want boom sound you can go for M8 but due to boring launcher from HTC which is monochrome ..and doesnot stand a chance against SONY's UI and themes...

Yes you are right about Z2 i faced the same issue with my Z2 they removed the ADP policy right after the Z2 was a month old and refused to replace the faulty phone.
Also if they price high due to iPhone stupidity then bad news for SONY
If you had to list out any negatives of the z2 what would they be?
I'm trying to convince myself that the z3 has the best specs that I need (mainly photos, videos, emails and maps) but keep on hearing comments from friends " you're buying a sony phone?"
Boom sound is nice to have but not essential for me.
Also important is battery time - both discharging and charging time. I see that z3 has a hi speed USB 2 port but not USB 3. Wonder how much difference that would make in charging and data transfer.
Looking at the abroad price comparison the device might cost 54999 INR and might be 4G model if its Dual Sim version only then i will discard Sony brand...

Nothing official yet...no press invites from Sony yet...
Well its september 19 and no news of z3 or whatsoever till now...Sony is dreaming in their world maybe or they are pushing india release back....in any case... not a good sign for us...... really wanted to get my hands in the device...
Sony center in Mumbai says 25th Sept release.
They had a z2 demo piece with a matte screen guard that just destroys the screen quality - and refuse to take it off. Strange!

Z2??? did you get any info about the price??
Nope. But going by indications looks like around 50k. Initial hands on reviews are very good - check phone arena. Gsmarena has reviewed only the compact so far.

I don't understand why this is what moto calls an upgrade. The display is bigger, but the pixel density is lower too, the camera is bumped to 8mp, but everything that really counts, such as the CPU, ram, and the GPU is the same. Even the battery is the same size.....c'mon moto, step it up.
I wish it had a 4.5 - 4.7" screen with an upgrade to the CPU and/or RAM and/or GPU. But I like that it has microSD, FM and front-facing speakers; I don't care about 4G at all. I'm not too concerned about battery life, since anything will be an improvement from the old Sensation that I'm replacing.

Maybe that's why they didn't changed the name. It is essentially the same phone.
Here in Brazil there are only 2 models being sold
8GB, dual sim
16GB, dual sim, DTV
Looks like the model name here is XT-1069 (online stores here are using this code to both models, needs to check)

I dunno where you got better camera from, just cause it has more mp doesn't make it better. I've seen 8mp cameras blow 13mp cameras out the water. And again, what good is a bigger screen if it isn't as sharp, not saying it's not sharp, but it's yet to be seen. Don't get me wrong, I'm buying it, and I have a first gen now, I just think they could've done better. 2gb of ram is the move they should've made, but who am I, I'm just a consumer. Also, extra, front facing speakers are awesome, if they sound good, which is lso yet to be heard. I'm a Verizon ( xt1028 ) user, which is locked down tighter than Ft. Knox. If the boot loader on the gen 2 can be unlocked and the device can be rooted, I'll be ecstatic.

For the money paid the phone is great. I'm not putting the device down, like I said, I own one myself and will be buying a new one. All I'm saying is that IMO they concentrated on the wrong things. Although the display upgrade is a beautiful thing, they definitely should've upgraded the ram. A CPU upgrade would've been nice, but certainly not that important as the Qualcomm 400 is a great SoC.

Hold on, let's also not forget that they upgraded the Wifi chip too. It now supports AC, and it's dual band instead of single band. I feel like that's pretty big.

Is the dual sim model more expensive than the single sim model ?

It was initially reported to be dual band, I remember clearly reading that, but my XT1068 is single band, and now the specs on the Motorola website say single band.
Unless anyone knows different, I think its just 802.11 b/g/n

Damnnnn..... anyone know if they're releasing a Verizon prepaid version again? I'm starting to think that if they were they would've already done so.
Don't forget that Moto G 2014 has Gyroscope, Moto G (2013) has not.
Moto G or Moto G2?
I thinking about buying a Moto G but im very undecided between the two version
I had a very bad experience with a 5' screen.
Can someone point me if it is worth the new version against the old one?
PS: I thinking in the dual sim version 16gb either way.

Sorry about going off topic, but I'd love to hear about this bad 5" screen experience.
Lenovo's K3 Note is one of the newest Lenovo's smartphones. This budget 4G Android Lollipop device has 5.5-inch Full HD screen and octa-core processor. I purchased one for myself to figure out if it is as good as it looks like.
Specs
4G
Android 5.0
MTK6752, 64bit 1.7GHz Cortex A53 octa-core processor
5.5-inch IPS Full HD (1920x1080) Screen
16GB ROM (about 10GB free space)
Micro-SD support up to 32GB
2GB RAM
3000mAh battery
Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0
Dual SIM
Design
Lenovo K3 Note has simple but elegant design. The phone is available with white and yellow back cover, I have white one. The rest of the phone is shiny black. Silver colored power button and volume buttons are on the right side of the phone. Unlike the most of the phones, K3 Note has its micro USB port on top next to the 3.5mm earphone port. Phone's large 5.5-inch IPS screen is clear and you can watch videos and pictures with good quality because of the 1920x1080 resolution.

Performance
K3 Note's processor is 1.7GHz 64-bit octa-core (MTK MT6752) and the phone has 2GB of RAM. That sounds good considering the price of the device and it really is awesome. I ran Antutu benchmark on the phone and the result was surprising. The score was over 45000. It means that this phone beats for example OnePlus One, Samsung Galaxy S5 and Google Nexus 5 in this test. Only very few phone models has got higher score than this. I was able to notice the excellent performance while using the device: everything works like clockwork, smoothly and steadily. I can play all the newest games on the phone with no lag at all.
Software
Android 5.0 is running very smoothly on this phone. Multitasking works nicely and new cool notification bar and lock screen notifications as well. Google Play and some other Google apps are pre-installed on Lenovo K3 Note, but it also has some other pre-installed apps that someone might dislike. I personally just ignored them. In addition to Android 5.0 K3 Note has Lenovo Vibe 2.5. It brings some new features to the phone as well as takes something away. I want to highlight some awesome features that K3 Note has. First one is gestures: For example the screen can be turned on by double tapping it or you can snap a picture while screen is off by double-pressing the volume up/down buttons. Second one is smart switching. You can make you phone for instance go silent mode or turn the GPS off when your phone connects certain wifi or at the time when you go to sleep.
Cameras
Lenovo K3 Note has two cameras: 13MP back camera and 5MP front camera. Both cameras take very high quality pictures in both low and high light. Front camera records 1080p video with 30 frames per second. I took some sample photos to show you how well the cameras of this phone works. Please notice that pictures may have been damaged in upload process.
Summary
I am absolutely satisfied with my Lenovo K3 Note. I have a phone with a good performance, large and high quality screen, very good cameras, long-lasting battery, newest Android and lot of space for apps and media. I bought my device from Pandawill and I'm satisfied with the service and fast shipping. Pandawill wanted to offer you a coupon for Lenovo K3 Note. You can get 10$ off by using coupon code Lenovok3 (expiration date 23.5.2015).
If you have any questions, just ask it and I will answer as soon as possible. Thanks for reading the review!
Edit:
Pictures are invisible for everyone but me (I guess) for some reason. I had uploaded the pictures on my xda-developers gallery and then linked them here but they aren't shown. You can see them here for now until I get this fixed.
Edit 2: Now everybody should be able to see every single picture.
Does this phone have touch key backlight?
how about its sound ? it is ok !
Hi!
There is no touch key light but it is ok in my opinion. And I have nothing bad to say about the sound quality, I think it is surprisingly good.
Hi, i want this phone really bad, but i need some help. Some sellers put in the desription that this phone (k50-t5) has wcdma 850/900/1900/2100 and others only 900/2100 , can someone enter into engineer mode and check the 3g bands?? I can live wihtout 4g but not wihtout 3g
Thanks!!!
will this phone work on t-mobile in the US? looks like it doesnt support all of the LTE bands, but not entirely sure.

1. Will not connect to my G watch, Whatever i do.
