Hi All
There are a lot of MM roms for Bacon
Thanks to all the Devs for Roms
You can share as to what you like the most in the comments section
Please Note all the Roms are moslty in WIP or Alpa or unofficial.
Try them as your own risk.
This voting is not to discriminate any Rom/Dev but just to see which is the most loved Rom
i did not work on developing of any of these Roms, I do not take the credit for any of these roms
NOTE: I DO NOT HAVE ANY INTENTION TO HURT ANY FEELINGS OF ANY DEV OR ROM USER, PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR SUGGESTIONS IF ANY
Pointless thread. For one, all MM ROMs are in their infant stages and lack any "real" features that any of the teams have on 5.1 and below. That's like comparing oranges to oranges and threads like this are bound to bring comparisons and heat. Thread needs to be closed.

I'd vote for all of them, because any work towards bring MM to our phone is greatly appreciated. They're all going about it in a slightly different way, and are at different stages. This is great to see, as it results in a variety of great choices once projects mature. Thanks to all the devs, keep up the great work!
This is my favorite version of "marshmallow".. ;p

Those are cute
There is another MM-Rom, http :// test.sungsonic .co I've installed T1 and its working pretty good!
It smells like this thread is going to be deleted.
IIRC, threads comparing roms are against xda rules.
TugaPower is really nice so far at least...but this is just a post in an attempt to get my 10 post so I can participate in discussions
The best ROM is the one that works best for you.

This post is a poll for users who like to test different ROM's to find out which one will be the "winner" over their device. Also it is used as a quick guide to find out which of the "ECLAIR ROMs" are the highest rated of the releases for users (and devs) to pick from the HUGE list of ones available rather than flashing, testing, re-partitioning, then re-flashing, etc etc.
I am not at all trying to flame, bash, or put down anyone's ROM that is less developed than others. I myself as I believe others like myself are interested in finding out which of the great ROM's released are by popular vote more exciting to use than others.
I also understand that different users have different opinions, and I as well as many others I know personally prefer totally different ROM's to use on our devices. So on that note, let everyone know of the list which ROM you believe gives you the best experience on your G1 & Mytouch3G / Dream & Magic devices by popular vote.
If I have left off any other ROM's that may be GREAT but just not posted in the poll please feel free to express the name, who it's by, and why you love it!
Thanks for your vote, I believe this will be of a lot of help to others like myself.
Hopefully this post is not considered "spam" and is more for an informational tool
This should be posted in the Dream/G1 Discussion board...not the G1 Android Development section...

Thanks for the correction, however most ROM users, and Dev's don't use the Dream/G1 discussion forum and i believe the intentions of this post would fall on deaf ears.
Ive found my leo to be more entertaining than my dreams, the 2.5 sense UI rom is a beast on it too.
Seems to be pretty varied so far.....

Yes it does, You can see where the most excitement is drawn from which is neat... The poll has multiple answers enabled which I input due to the fact that myself like probably others like more and enjoy more than only 1 ROM, So if you do like 2 out of the bunch or anything feel free to express it and vote for another
You spelled "ratings" wrong in the title.
Remember, first impressions last a life time.

True indeed, this thread is not specifically dev related, but I find it to be very helpful and informative for those of us that are flashing these roms, gives the user an better idea of what to choose from when looking for a good eclair duplicate. And most users, like I, hardly ever visit the discussion board because they are so busy checking the dev forums for new releases and updates. Therefore I find this thread to be placed in a perfectly good position due to to its purpose. MODS please consider before moving.
Yay! Somebody finally picked up my idea koo well
lets see which rom is the best
This should be reset tho every like week or so, cause constant changes happen and one gets crazy awesome over night..so you should have in the title sometimes (I reset this poll on 1/27) so ppl no to see new results...
wrong info
I use [email protected] Eclair 2.1, with spanish kernel, this is the faster 2.1 ROM for Dream and Sapphire.
I´m waiting for a new update, with N1 features and G1 Dream full working.
http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=90749
Nice Idea, this poll.
But, i think, there should be also a Poll for the Functions needed, not only which Eclair ROM...
So, for me the Killerfeatures are:
WLan/WiFi working
Bluetooth working
Exchange Active Sync working (including Contacts, Calendar, E-Mail)
Sound working (also with Navigation App like Sygic, nDrive, ...)
Not so urgent, but would be nice:
Google Sync working
Tethering WiFi/USB working
Browser with Flash Support working
Camera working (Pictures & Video)
Video working
as much as possible free system memory ;-)
Of course my respect for all developers, you do great work!
I'll try ~ all Imagereleases, but i stay at the moment @The Original Rogers (modification from kb7sqi). I think it's the only one with working complete ActiveSync/BT/WiFi/Sound.

I like your idea, it's good to always update ratings based upon how certain ROMs enhance faster or more frequent than others.
hey javolin i really think u should add jubeh's 2.1 AOSP ROM to the polls, its really something great, best eclair ROM i used to date.
the Intention ROM comes from a mature dev that doesnt act like a child. He also dosent beg for money
Ill be trying kingklick's rom next!
I don't like eclair roms anymore after I tried CSDIv1 lol....everything seems to be slow as a turtle xD

I would like to add different ROMs to the list, I don't think I can edit the poll once it's posted though.
pretty good turnout with the voting... I think these voting ratings will also help devs in a comptetive state as well... Granted there is the "sharing is caring" attitude, but I'm sure nothing feels greater then having a large fan base that supports your rom
And of course this is not to feed any flame wars! We wildfire owners have the luck to enjoy some fantastic contributions from the developers and we are all grateful for the commitment and the devotion they show to the community.
As OpenFire and Cyanogenmod (Stable) are the 2 most popular sense-less roms out there, is it possible to collect in this thread the opinions of users and devs who used those two great roms? Can you compare their features and abilities? I think that now that Cyanogenmod has reached its stable release, this thread will be a great handful of help for all community members.
Remember! No one is looking for posts like "OMG!! X rom is awesome because I say so!". We are not looking for a champion, just trying to make their pros and cons more obvious for every user as both roms are a fantastic contribution!
Thank you all in advance!
I have one thing to say for now, wrong forum, this should be in general
Anyway, I like cm6 cause of the support from the community, and the ever changing builds, its fun.
I also like the extra features that it gives from the aosp source.

Hi all
I am new here, and yes I am not a developer, as well as, I am so happy that I have been moved to SGS3 after using iPhone. Android world is amazing. The reason I am posting such thread, its because I want to share my little experience with ROMs for the SGS3.
I used to use the Cyanogenmod 10 the nightlies, with some issues and bugs are there, and I was looking for such ROM which can handle the Daily use without any problem, finally I found this one Resurrection Remix JB v3.1.2, which is the best in my opinion for those who are using the CM10 nightlies until they CM team come out with the stable mode.
it is in this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1815285
I used it, it is stable, battery friendly and smooth, no issues at all.
I am just sharing my experiences, because I was mistaken when I was thinking about CM10 is the best yet, but when I try the RR I found out, the truth.
I would like to thank the management of the forum, and the members as well, and I am so sorry if there is any typos mistakes or such things, because my native language is the Arabic.
I am from Dubai, and I am so happy to be a member here.
regards
Nasser
Still, the words "best" and "rom" shouldn't be used in the same sentence. "best rom" threads aren't allowed whether you're asking for the specifically or you're stating which the best rom is. It's all a matter of one's own preferences.
Not one of these threads again.

Welcome to xda.
First of all, congratulations on your phone choice. It was certainly a change for the better. :good:
Now, on the topic of ROM preference, please visit this thread and read about "Best ROM" is considered around here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1935514
Hope you enjoy Android as much as we all here do. I picked S3 over iPhone 5 and do not regret my decision one bit.
So sorry guys, I wanted to help others. Thats why I used these words.
Again and again, Thank you very much.
appreciate all the replies.
regards
Nasser

- AOSP for LTE (WIFI will follow according to the guys from FreeXPERIA)
So nothing is "dead".
The Z2 tablet is not a best seller, it is a high-end Android tablet with a very limited user base. Of course devices which have sold an order of magnitude more like the Samsung Galaxy S5 or the HTC One M8 attract more developers, but then look at the forums for the Galaxy S5 Mini, where there is hardly any development at all. Compared to such devices we do very well here.
I personally am glad that we have good developers supporting our tablet and a range of custom ROMs to choose from and I am thankful for the ROMs we have and for the work the developers spend in their free time.
Finally, this is XDA here - if you think there are too few ROMs here feel free to make your own one instead of alienating the developers we have by complaining about their work.

Hi,
Waoh !
OK, sorry... I take it all back.
Did not thought my post would suggest such vehement reaction.
In fact, what did I wrote ?
Simply that on the whole channel dedicated to "Z2 Tablet Android development" there has not been a single post in over 3 weeks...
Which makes me fear that development is not really alive for a device I really like.
Does it deserve such reaction ?
Maybe. But I beg to differ...
I am not whining, I am not complaining... I was just stating.
That makes a difference to me. Maybe not to you...
Regards.

See, CM12 and Lollipop AOSP were updated just 2 days ago, on 2015-01-10. PAC was updated today, before it was updated on 2015-01-05. Yesterday, a new pre-rooted stock ROM for the SGP521 was posted.
Yet you ask if development is dead.
In my opinion, this is insulting the developers who do the work for us - for free, mind you!
I do not want to start a flame war or a non-technology-related discussion here. I merely want to point out that I do not share your view and that I am thankful for the ROMs we have.
Also I want to point out that I appreciate the work the developers do - we already have 'lost' a developer here in this forum who was alienated by some comments from certain members, and I think this shouldn't be repeated.
Hence I felt that I have to reply to your post to make the developers know that there are members on this board who do not share your view. Usually I simply ignore such posts to prevent spamming the forums, but I think your repeated complaints (no Apps2SD, no 4.4 AOSP, no new developments) warrant a reply.

you are both wrong, aosp daily builds are well, everyday, same with the official cm12 since, we get official, p.s. the current recovery in cm12 doesn;t flash, you have to downgrade the boot.img every time to the one from cm11 before updating
No bashing or favoritism based on the dev please, but...
I've been away from xda for months and I'm getting bored with my current setup so I'm looking for some opinions on what rom is top dog right now and why you like it.
Any help at all would be awesome. I'm looking for a speedy rom with decent battery (doesn't have to be amazing) with good customization options. Thanks!
Ready?

If you like TouchWiz setups, there are several great devs in that department. Firstly I'd check out @TEKHD's ROM. It's amazing, stable, and feature rich with his personal touches.
Another notable dev would be @dr.ketan. He's done a great job on an S6 TW port for our phones. It's stable and full of features as well.
My personal favorite dev is @ZION959. He's got 2 completely awesome AOSP ROM's he maintains and does kernel work for them himself. I love his cmRemiX, so much so that I have not tried his slimRemiX. Personal preference completely due to liking the CM theme engine over layers. His ROM's are both feature packed as well and very stable.
All that said, all three devs are active in their perspective threads and all have their great little communities of helpful people in the threads. Plus several of us that are ROM flash-a-holics that cross over into various threads.
There are many seriously great ROM's available and these are simply ones I tried myself. Read around in the different threads to see how vanilla or feature rich you like your phone. But my advice is to give these three devs a chance first and see how the ROM's fit you and your phone.
Happy hunting and happy Halloween!

What is good for others, maybe is no good for you -that's why there is more than one ROM-.
On that note, thread closed.
