D802 Stock LP - Android system battery drain [Help] - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I went back to stock by flashing this KDZ "Hungary OPEN 16GB D80230a_00" but i've noticed that my battery drains so fast, i checked the battery graph, and there's the android system that keep draining my battery
i did some research on the web and most of solution were about doing a factory reset so i did it with no luck, the same battery!
so i'd appreciate if there's any suggested solutions

[Q] battery issue

I did a search and looked through the threads, some were similar but none were exactly like mine... which has me worried. also google didn't help... which has me worried
My battery charges, and discharges ( i think) normally. I don't see any problem with the actual usage. But, the battery indicator only updates when it is plugged in or unplugged, or i restart it. while it's running it doesn't update, so i have to guess at the level of battery.
I just bought a "re-certified" one from newegg. it did the latest ICS OTA update immediately after turning it on. It had this problem on stock OTA, but i have since rooted it with ViperMOD (still stock ROM), and the issue is still there.
I have read about battery calibration, deleting battery stats, etc - would these be applicable? how do I actually go about doing it?
Thanks for any info!
I would backup all my data (Using Titanium Backup), backup your ROM then either flash to something new or delete all your data. Obviously you can restore everything once your done but just to see if this is a software or hardware issue.
Have you tried any other battery widget? Does it update in settings -> about tablet -> status and/or settings -> battery?
If not, you should try reflashing like mike suggested.
I have tried "Beautiful Widgets" battery widget, as well as stats - and they all show the same level.
ty, will do. do you have a recommendation for rom? stock like with stability and battery life? no dock...
Android Revolution HD look ok?
thanks again
yeah didn't help. i did a wipe from within CWM, and installed Android Revolution.
Is there anything i can do to wipe to wipe it further, safely? before i go through the process of trying to RMA it.
I am fully charging it and then will reset the battery stats and discharge it, as that's said to be good anyway once in awhile and i don't have anything better to do...
if it comes down to it, how might i unroot before sending this back? i have the image from before flashing, but that was after rooting and installing CWM.
Deleting battery stats won't improve your battery life. It's a MYTH.

The correct way to calibrate your battery is to discharge it 2-3 times after flashing a new rom/kernel.

[Q] Battery at 100% after flashing

I just got my G2 and decided to root it then flash the cloudy g3 1.2 ROM which went fine. Following that, I installed the Xdabbeb camera mod which caused the phone to enter a bootloop. Because of that, I wiped the system, data, and cache, then reflashed the G3 ROM (with the kitkat baseband).
When I was on TWRP though, it said the battery was on 100% when it was actually on about 60%. So after flashing the ROM and booting it up, the battery percentage showed 100% then started dropping very quickly. I lost 20 percent in half an hour of use.
To do a battery calibration, you must charge the device to 100% and if I do this, it shows the charge at 100% but in reality it isn't. How am I meant to reset the battery stats completely? I don't mind resetting things as I've only just got the phone.
Also would someone mind downloading a battery calibration app and charging the phone to 100% then telling me what the voltage is at 100%?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Android System on top of Battery Stats

Im wondering why android system is on top or most of the time in par with screen statistics on battery stats. Previously it would settle down at 11% or less but now its up or more than 20%. Wondering what causes this behavior . Even after a fresh format and few minutes of usage Currently running stock 4.4.2 KitKat not rooted. I noticed that this happend after i tried to root my device. Not sure if its a coincidence. Anyone got same issue? its just my battery isnt as good as before

Did you try to reboot the device? Sometime this simple trick may help.
Or you may need to update the firmware.
What is your firmware version? Is it the latest one? Check for the latest firmware for your device in Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser'.
It's bugged.
It'll list Android System as highest usage even after 4 hours of heavy gaming, with the game at 3-8%. In every battery monitor.
Ya e reboot might have fixed it for awhile and wiping cache.

strange battery problem.. need suggestion

hi all, i got my almost new s5 and updated to lollipop all is fine no lags etc but i had strange issue when my battery went to 30 % it starts draining fast like 2% charge in one minute while using and 3 % battery drain on standby while its fine enough above 30 % and i m getting 1 % drain per 4 minutes using and 1 % per 2 hours on standby.... so i thought thats a lollipop problem and i flashed and downgraded to stock kitkat rom and after a while same problem is occurring with kitkat rom as well... physical condition of battery looks fine but still i managed to get a second battery and tested with it as well but the problem continuess.... any suggestionss?? Thanks

Battery stats reset on reboot

Is anyone else seeing battery stats reset when restarting their phone? Note that this phenomenon occurs for me even when battery is below 90%. I'm stock unrooted, running MDA89D.
Do u have custom recovery installed?
Nope, I'm completely stock.
