GPS still not working after reading forum

hi everyone.
I am still unable to get the GPS working on my titan. I have followed every instruction on the forums from here to ppcgeeks and it is still not functioning.
I have the installed the sprint 3.35 and also have vetvito's installed too. Ive used holux GPS viewer and tried to use Iguidence and tom tom with no sucess. I changed the COM port to all of them and tried it then and nothing. Also my phone is the PPC6800 on the alltel network any input would help out greatly.
Thank you
Two thoughts. Did you enable the location setting in the phone options as with this turned off the GPS won't activate, and second, do you get any satelites displayed with the Holux viewer?....
I have the location setting to on and when I start the viewer it will show about 10 satellites but never pick up on them. They flash on the viewer for a minute then disappear and come back again.
Hm... If you're seeing the satellites the GPS is working. Have you gone outside with full view of the sky? Seems our 6800's can be quite finicky. I can't get a lock while sitting on my livingroom couch (on the ground floor), but outside or in my car its fine as it is on the second floor of my house. Other than trying other physical locations, I'm out of ideas... Good luck!
edit: also try switching back and forth between the data listing and the sat. view as sometimes it seems to glitch and not update the sats but the data keeps streaming in and it will eventually lock...
thanks i'll try the switch technique and i am outside trying to do it and I left my phone out for at least one time for an half hour and nothing....hmm...I'll give ya an update and see if that helps at all.

No satellites seen on any GPS software

I had GPS working well and could see the satellites on the concentric circles using both TomTom and HTC GPS Tool and then get a GPS fix. After a month all the satellites disappeared from the circles when using both pieces of software. I tried a soft reset which did nothing, then tried a hard reset and after reinstalling tomtom and htc gps tool I could see all the satellites on the circles and get a fix without a problem. It has now stopped working again.
I have ROM version 1.14.405.3. With both pieces of software I am using COM4 and baudrate 4800.
Anyone no how to fix this or has had the same problem?
Would really appreciate some help.
I have noticed that when its not working and I run HTC GPS tool and open the COM4 port the text displayed in the box is completely different to the text displayed when it is working.
I had also this problem one time. GPS came back the day after. I have no explication nor clue for the reasons why the GPS went off and came back.. I soft resetted a few time, but with no immediate results. No hard reset.
Fortunately, this does not happens too often (one time only for me), but I'm pretty sure this problem will come back when I'll badly need my GPS..
I have another problem which comes more frequently (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448148), but I have a workaround.
I hope HTC is aware of these problems ans will provide a fix very soon.
Unfortunately for me when this happens it is permanent and the only time it started to work again is after a hard reset. When it was working I could get a fix without a problem. I have also disabled A-GPS. It is very annoying.
What I see In TomTom with the GPS status is '' poor GPS reception" so the GPS is recognised. Please if anyone can help, its driving me mad.
I can only use programs allowing to set the gps manually to COM 4 and 57600 Baud. I cannot do this manually in the Windows settings, because they are not saved.
Right, I tried the program GPS test and I get the message ''starting GPS" with a yellow dot next to it. I think for some reason the GPS is not starting properly, maybe its because of a piece of software I installed although I tested the GPS after every installation I made and it worked and then suddenly it stopped.
I got fed up again and did another hard reset, installed only TomTom 7.910 and it is now working perfectly again.
I think I wont install anymore software for the time being and then see how long the GPS lasts for this time.

This will make your HD an expansive navigations system .
hehe, Indeed it will, don't know how long I will last before I get bored and start installing stuff again. Not sure what else to do.

Google Maps 3G/GPS ERROR! No Signal!

Has anyone else had this problem?
Every time I open Google Maps, on my Tmo TP2, it wont load maps or traffic unless I have GPS turned OFF. I noticed the signal icon on the top right of the screen turns to the "!" meaning "no signal" as soon as i turn off the gps, i will regain the signal within a minute or two.
This has happened to me once before, and i finally had to hard reset my tp2, we all know how much of a pain it is trying to re-set up your phone the way you like it.
Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

[Q] gmaps won't use gps?

I've got a bit of a strange problem, where google maps seems to refuse to actually use the phones gps (device). If I use high accuracy it immediately zooms in on a location thats more than 5kms away.
I installed osmand, and it is able to see and lock onto 5/19 gps satellites just fine, gmaps on the other hand just sits there, it does produce the 'location' icon, but never gets a lock. I installed gps status from the play store, and downloaded the latest gps-a data, but thats made no difference.
One thing I did notice though, was that when i start osmand, the notification from gps status appears, but when trying to find location on gmaps no such thing happens, which leads me to think that gmaps isnt even trying.
location is set to device only, google location reporting etc is on.
So far ive done a cache / data wipe of maps in settings, uninstalled back to factory version, re-updated to the latest but all to no avail.
Does anyone have any ideas? thanks

GPS stops updating/turns off after a few seconds

A few times in the past couple days, I've noticed that a few seconds after opening maps or an app like gps status, the gps symbol in the status bar simply disappears and the app I'm using stops updating.
I thought it might be a problem with maps until I caught it doing the same thing on the gps status app (and the gps test app as well). So it doesn't seem like an app problem. I have location accuracy mode set to high under location settings, and no power savings type modes or apps running. I have the at&t version of the s5.
Any ideas what's going on here or how to fix?
This is driving me nuts - it hasn't happened to anyone else? It seems like it generally happens when the GPS is 'cold' - like first thing in the morning. I'll open maps, or try to navigate, or one of the gps apps, and the gps indicator in the status bar simply turns off after a couple seconds and whatever app I'm in stops updating my location. If I close and reopen one of the apps, it'll do the same thing again. Eventually, after say 3-10 times of this - suddenly the gps status indicator will either stay on or might come back on a couple seconds after having turned off. After that, it seems to have 'warmed up' and works normal even after closing/opening apps to test it. I've also tried clearing maps data, as well as resetting agps data. Anything else I can try short of a factory reset?
