I owned the seidio clip holster for my Kaiser and loved it!! Very sturdy and comfortable. Will definitely be ordering one for my Rafael.
Have the hybrid case for the Kaiser. It still is a top-notch case (once Seidio gets their head out of their ass about their online support).
Just got the Innocase and it's much much better quality than the other Amazon one.
Another truly excellent case after the hybrid Seidio case on the Kaiser.
First 3 pictures are of Innocase
4th is with Amazon's case's top with thick borders around the screen
5th is comparison of these "Touch" screen border thickness.
Macro-mode for those that haven't figured it out in the Youtube videos. Yes, Amazon's case has its rubberization already peeling before I took it out of its shipping packet.

Very illuminating photos - thank-you!
Was "reasonably certain" that would not find using the Touch Screen with a FINGER all that attractive - after all, have hardly ever used my Axim without the Stylus.
But in actual practice find that it IS often convenient to simply swipe a finger at the screen, and so your comments about the relative Screen Border Thickness - and hence the possibility of interference with finger-contact near the edges of the screen - are very interesting.
Still, $30 seems a lot for small hunk of plastic....

As illustrated, the Seidio case is thin (on width) around the screen leaving plenty of space for finger-gestures. Hitting X and menus at bottom is no problem. The Amazon case felt like it was a 8525 again.
There's also velvet in the case back so it doesn't scratch the OEM smooth back. This raises the back a few mm above the original diamond plate, but with the speaker hole, it's all around good protection.
For $30, Seidio tends to be the first and last case you'll ever get because it's a perfect fit, and solid at protection and surviving drops. Only reason to switch to another case is they come out with some other fancy idea such as a hybrid rubber-crystal case + holster, or other colors. I would go for a white case.
I paid $8 (total) for the Amazon case and you can see what I got. Horribly fitting, messes with the slider, rubberization peeling before it came out of the bag. $30 isn't that bad especially since I'm still very happy with the hybrid-case I got for my Kaiser last year.
edit:
whatever case you guys end up getting, I have to say my FUZE is a much more pleasant beast now that the cold, slimy feeling is gone.
the amazon case you purchased is not a good example of the other options out there. I am not saying anything negative about the Seido case. I have seen it personally and it is a nice case, but the one on Ebay that many are buying is also pretty nice, and no issues with the pealing your pictures showed. The employees in my company have 6 Fuze phones and no one has had any issues like that. The biggest illusion with the phone shown at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=459761 is that the border is white and not black like the rest of the case.
The $30 cost is the main objection, but in general Seido makes quality cases.
Overall it is very positive that there are multiple options now available and more coming each day.
does this one interfere with teh screen as reported on the other amazon/ebay one? something about the inside of the upper left corner pressing down on the screen makes one unable to use the screen after having the case on for a few days... the only way to resolve this with the other one is to file down the inside of the plastic part that touches the screen...

I'm interested in the answer to this question too. My initial attempt at sanding down my rubberized ebay case was not successful, my phone still locked up after a couple of days.
Fuze innocase owners, are you lockup free after days of operation?

Just because you're happy with the work you put into fixing your Ebay case does not mean you should troll other case threads to protect your investment and mind-share about it. Also stating that I'm not a Seidio apologist since I haven't had the greatest shipping experience last time around, and their CS/managers lying back-and-forth about it.
Lock-ups? Are you seriously kidding? That's a red-flag for me right there. Even the Amazon case doesn't have that problem.
The Innocase is a perfect fit with no modifications necessary. That's what paying a slight premium gets you. Costs less than getting the Expansys Touch Pro back too.
It's like paying for the unlocked version of the phone. No crapware, loads of accessories, and special attention to details the cut-rate version doesn't have.
I've noticed the Ebay case has a huge clip tab right next to the volume-up button. The Seidio case clips seem to be more thoughtfully placed, and smaller, thinner. In fact, the bottom case has a cut-out curve around the volume/PTT buttons also that helps the case stay out of the way.
Thank you for you info, and no trolling (that made me laugh) intended. I have the ebay case AND have ordered the Seido case, which we were waiting for. Thanks again.

I've had the case, belt clip and charger for a few days. Overall, I'm very happy with the products, and would purchase Seidio equipment again in the future. I've had a few different cases for my old 8525, and I like this one for my Fuze the best.
I love the case. It's not bulky, and has a good feel to it. I wasn't sure about the clips that hold the case to the phone, because they looked fragile...but it holds very nicely.
The belt clip for the case is fine. Seems to hold the phone and case in very well, and the belt clip will not slip off any belt I've tried it on.
The charger...I'm not happy with it. That's my fault not Seidio's, I didn't read the description of the charger. I'm sure it's a quality product. It is a small dock type charger, but comes with a cable with two large USB connections on it. So it can be docked when plugged into a computer's USB. I thought it would have a connection to plug into a wall outlet.
Just bought the combo pack, Will post pics when it arrives.
Just wondering if this case will fit the Bell / CDMA version, is it a rubber type compound, as well does the case scratch the phone in any way?
Thanks
Some questions?
For ppl that have the combo case/holster. Can you put the phone with the case on it, in the holster with screen facing in (screen facing you) and out (screen facing away from you)?
Thanks

Hey TVDinner, why did you order the Seidio case? Did your filed ebay case start locking up again?
To answer your question to me in my earlier response, I don't know why my ebay case locked up after my filing attempt. Maybe I didn't file it enough? My tolerance level for trial and error is pretty low, so maybe I'll just order the innocase...

Hi jknuckey - no my ebay case is working great to be honest. no issues at all after my initial filing on it. But I always need to have "the best" case, lol. I was originally waiting for the Seidio one, but they were taking to long and I ordered the ebay one. then shortly after the Seidio one became available, lol.

There are two models of the holster.

One that only fits the phone with the case:

Hey bro any peeling so far from the Innocase? I just ordered it... I had the ebay one but man screen still freezing after I filed.. bleh...
Ok so I'm looking to buy some screen protectors, a car charger and a pouch off ebay since they're cheap and I'm pretty broke now from getting this phone..and was wondering if anyone could recommend any of the above from ebay
Screen + everything else protector
I went with this: http://cgi.ebay.com/CP-FULL-BODY-Screen-Protector-FOR-AT-T-HTC-FUZE-Love_W0QQitemZ220377714186QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item220377714186&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A16|39%3A1|240%3A1318
While the $20 price seems steep, this thing covers nearly all of your phone. Additionally, it is *great* at keeping fingerprints off the back cover. Easily cleaned, so far tough as nails. My only caveat is that it does not cover the two top edges of the phone, and on my phone these two areas now show pocket wear.
Glad to see another native Texan on the boards, even though mitchhh's name seems to be very breathy.
HAH! I love how they avoid this question:
"Q: What is Clear Protector made out of?"
"A: Material is made to protect military helicopter blades. You know it's durable."
Anyway, I got Bodyguardz and it seems to be holding up very nicely, plus you get 2 for around $15 just in case you manage to totally F up the first one.
My only complaints are how frustrating the corners were to get to stay down initially. But once you get them down, they're there to stay.
Secondly, and lastly - This one's a catch 22...
PRO: You can jab away all day at the little check boxes/menus, and not have to worry about your stylus slipping because the screen protector more or less 'catches' the tip and prevents it from sliding. which brings me to my...
CON: The stylus/finger doesn't glide AS smoothly over the screen as it does with either no protector at all or with the one that it came with.
Hope this helps!
My name is Mitch...just it and mitchh was already taken so I went with that The Bodyguardz and invisible shield both sound good... My dad got the invisible shield..and like you said how it's not smooth on the screen..I really don't like that so I just wanted to get a nice screen protector over the screen only.
edit: whoops..forgot to log out of my dad's account
After a week of using a cheapo leather case I pulled my SGT out and found that the back panel (white) edges have dark splotches on them, almost like its been placed over a flame. Tried rubbing it off with all sorts of stuff but it just wont come off. My wife has had an iPhone for 2 years and the white panel on the back still looks new. Quality of the material perhaps? anyone else have this and able to clean it?

More like the cheap leather case of yours tainted the black color onto the back of your tab. I had this kind of case before, but luckily I have a layer of screen protector at the back, even that layer is tainted..It's not the tab, just the cheap casing.
no discoloration here, my tab is naked all the time tho
As a rule, as soon as I get my devices I get them laminated (a good one at that) both front and back. Thr surface on the front is resistant to oily hand marks and the back one well lets just say keeps it shining for a good 6-8 months before I get a new one done. This way selling it is never a problem. Cheers!

I had that problem with my Galaxy Tab and the Samsung leather case that came with it. It seems that the soft fabric they line the inside with rubs off onto the Tab. It's not actually that big of a deal to get off. I took some rubbing alcohol (70% Isopropyl Alcohol), poured it on a cotton ball and used a small amount of pressure. It came right off and my Tab looked brand new.
I am in India, waiting for the free leather case from Samsung. One concern is about the heat,if the back is encased, can the device heat up? Will it affect it adversely ?

I have not experienced any problems with the device heating up while in the case. To be perfectly honest, the only time I have even felt the device get slightly warm is when I'm charging it via the wall charger. Even then, it doesn't get that warm. If you're worried though, you can always charge the device outside of the case. While you're using it though, you won't have to worry about it overheating in the case.
Put on an invisishield before you put it in the case. There are a few companies that sell then online for a cheap price.
I still can't get it off, anyway I ditched the case and made one myself instead. You can find it in the SGT accessories forum

I had/have the same problem from a black cowhide case I got from acceport.com - unsightly black blotches on the white back. I had a go at the firm that sold me the case but, naturally, have had no reply. The back almost looks new now after plenty of polishing with an almost daily cleaning and polishing with an all-purpose cleaner I have seen many of the phone shops here in Thailand use to clean telephone screens, etc. Still it will never look like new - it will always have some visible signs of the staining.

Not that my reply is helpful to your situation but it's interesting that each US carrier chose their own different design for the back. AT&T definitely chose wisely with their matte carbon fiber styling. I was in a T-Mobile store this weekend looking at their Tab and that glossy black style is a terrible finger print magnet and now I am reading that the white can discolor. Way to go AT&T, your customer service sucks but someone made a good decision at a terrible company.
same problem here.. black cheap leather... dirty white back, I'll try with alcohol, anyways I buy a new "clip-on" leather that seems look better and it has stand

Wondering if the Tetrax magnet will hold Nexus 4 at the back?
http://www.tetrax.com/us/
I have this for my Galaxy Nexus, but I had to stick a metal at the back. Because I want to use the wireless charging in the future, I don't think its a great idea to stick the small metal at the back of the phone.
I'm not sure if the Nexus 4 actually have enough (metal/something magnetic) on the back of the inside of the phone to stick on the magnet? Not sure anyone tried this. Because I dropped my Galaxy Nexus and cracked it(in Canada), I'm still waiting to order one!
I'm so use to using this stuff, its really hard to go back to using a car holder.
If anyone know if this one would stick to a magnet, please let me know! Thanks.
I have no familiarity with that product but I just took the strongest magnet off of my fridge (holding up a 1lb whiteboard on there so it's not "industrial" strength but it's not a super weak one either) and I could barely feel the pull between it and my N4. In fact, now that I've done this, I'm concerned that it will be very difficult for them to make the Orb hold this phone at an angle without it sliding off.
Based on this and what I know of that product, I wouldn't expect it to work. That said, I'm not sure how super powerful that magnet is so it's kinda hard to say for sure.
HTH
I think a solution would be to put the metal on a TPU case like the Rearth Ringke Slim and then if you don't want to use the case daily, just leave it magnetized to the Tetrax in your car. That way you just created a dock for yourself in the car to use, a case if you want to use it, and you can even put a NFC tag on the case so that whenever you "dock" it in your car, it activates whatever car mode features you want.

I've tried this with the Nexus 4 and the metal plates some right off of the glass back when you try to mount it on the XWAY. I'm looking for a solution to this. I love the XWAY and used it for quite a while with my SGS2. It was great with that but the Nexus 4's glass back is so smooth anything you stick on it will come off fairly quickly.
I am in the same boat, the stupid metal won't stick at the back. I'm going to contact my friend at 3m to see if they have any other double side tape that would work, I don't want to use something too strong that I can't pull it back out and not break the back glass =(
Why not put a screen protector on the back and then the metal thing on that?
Let's you still see the back, and when you want to remove the metal thing, you won't have to worry about hurting the phone.

I'm thinking of getting one of the dBrad Black Carbon skins then sticking the XWAY plate on it. The reviews say it sticks really well to the Nexus 4's glass back.

Although I might just take some super glue or something to assist the XWAY plate in adhering to the glass.

FYI - I took some super glue gel and glued the XWAY mount to the back of my Nexus 4, waited a couple hours for the glue to cure and it's working fine now. I figure I can always take a razor blade and scrape it all off sometime if the future since it's glass, after all. I can't say if it will work long term, it's stuck on there good and tight now. Cheers!
The metal plate slips off the back of my N4 too. I contacted Tetrax with no reply. So much for that.

After getting it, i can assume that an 1mm sylicone case between magnet and chip on phone wont be stable, not strongh enough.
Btw, even Glue (superglue 3 universale) had some troubles to hold chip on phone (Our nexus is too smart to be glued^^).
so, Ive wanted a magnetic car dock for a while. Airdock makes a nice one. but the airdock 2 is not available. at least last time i checked. So i decided to make one. this has been an on going project for about a month. the first one i made was quite simple. very much like the one on youtube. just 4 magnets placed in a LG charging pad. problem was, the charging would start and stop randomly. I assumed it had to do with the magnet locations. some how it was effecting the charging (considering Qi charging is magnetic)
back to the drawing board! and then project after project lol. I think i must have made 8 docks. all had issues and I was not satisfied. I even made one out of carbon fiber, or an attempt to! didnt turn out well.. then I went a bit out side of the box. so heres what i did
First, i had an extra Turbo battery cover. i plastic dipped that. my theory was plastic dip would work as a release agent for my next step. then I took an old iphone bumper case my wife had and used that as my frame.. alined 4 magnets next to the moto symbol (i put 2 small peaces of metal in that area in side the phone) then i used tap to cover all the gaps the case would have on the phone, and poured in a full tube of plastic weld epoxy. I had no clue what would happen but i was willing to try!
after everything cured it worked really well.. I was able to take the epoxy off the phone cover fairly easly (you can see it pulled off some of the vz and droid writing.. as well as the moto symbol)
now, i have a form that matches the turbo exactly.
the next step was just a mater of sanding and cutting off any of the over pour and any imperfections in the epoxy.
then i put in the wireless charging pad
next, i plastic dipped the front (being rubber it works really well as a non slip surface)
then i warped the outside in some auto chrome trim
and that was that! new charging dock for my car that fits like a glove! because it matches the turbos curves, it auto centers it self. and holds super tight! phone wont move at all... very happy with the out come.. let me know what you guys think! thanks
thats really sweet ill buy one ?
That looks sweet!!!

Bad ass! I already tried to make a dock, but it doesn't charge, and the magnets don't hold that well. I don't have the patience (or cajones to open up my phone) to try this.

Not really links I could use as everything i got was locally bought. Magnets from ace hardware. Cheap iPhone 4 case. Plastic dip and plastic weld epoxy made by jb weld. Got that stuff at pep boys. When the phone back cover was open, did it look like there was enough room to install a metal ring, for use with current magnetic phone holders (Qi chargers)? I have to open the case to replace the battery and figured I might try a magnetic Qi mount as well (easier to rotate from portrait to landscape without a large plastic exo-frame). It's that, or use a thin cover and put the ring between the phone and the accessory cover (I have the ballistic nylon back).
