is there any way to make the speaker and ringer volume louder than stock max setting i work in a real noisy area and a lot of the time its very hard to hear
thanks in advance

Instead of making it louder, why not just try putting it on vibrate...? Just sayin.

i have it on ringer and vibrate and the vibrate is not the best that i have seen either. this is the only problem with this phone that i have other wise i lone it
has anyone found a way yet to mke the rear speaker louder when on speaker phone?
ring + vibrate + high pitch tone
thatll help you out the best. I got that power rangers Beep communicator thing because that worked the best even when I was driving the forklift I could hear it.
Honestly you dont wanna go to loud, you may blow your speaker >< then that would really suck
Use the 'Noisy One' ringer to make sure you always hear it - that's the only ringer I can hear every time.
As for speakerphone, you've touched on my only complaint with the G2 - the speakerphone isn't very good and requires holding it to your ear (which defeats the point, eh?)
You can try Old Phone Ringtones (from the Market). Some of those ringtones are really loud.
Hey guys I realize you are trying to be helpful but telling someone to "put it on vibrate" and "download louder ringtones" is not very helpful (The Vibrate sux on the G2 I usually hear it vibrating instead of feeling it ). I too am looking for a way to boost the speaker sound like I did with my G1 using "Louder Volume Hack". I have Loud ringers but that does not help with custom ringtones or with the reason I went with Android, To make it function the way I want it to, I am sure most of you also feel this way.
Also of Note: I can get the Speaker to the desired Volume using an Poweramp equalizer to boost the volume of music, considering all the apps out there I am surprised that no-one has created a hack to do this on the newer phones.

that is what i ma looking for the" louder volume hack" and im on a stock g2 not that good with comp stuff so im not rooted
Hi everyone, when i am talking with someone and i turn on the speaker the voice call quality is kind of bad, i hear crackling and poping sounds. Now when i play a movie or music through the speaker its fine so its just the voice calls..i am wondering if this is normal and if anyone else is experiencing this at full volume. I am using the Lightening rom if that matters.

Can please someone test this? It will really help me. Just switch to speaker while on a call and max the volume to see if you hear distortion. Thank you in advance.
I got my OP2 4 days back and it has been quite a disappointment switching from the OnePlus One in terms of sound quality and volume levels.
The volume level is horrendous, both for ringtones/notifications and media. I'm sure this will eventually be solved by a kernel or a OS update but as of now, even if I am with a group of friends and the phone is in my pocket, I can't hear the ringtone. Moreover, there is no option to unlink ringtone and notifications.
Before anyone suggests, my volume levels are highest.
J.
It is true. Volume is too low. For me it is not a problem because I'm almost always on silent mode. Anyway there is one volume thing which is also broken...
When playing games it does not make a visible difference if the volume is on the highest lvl or almost muted. There is a difference, but IMO speaker is to loud when You set it's level as lowest as possible -_- (but not entirely, not to mute)
You think the same ?
It is a problem for me as I go to crowded places often.
I don't play games but I listen to a lot of music and apart from the volume levels, the sound quality is also very bad. Spotify sounds like a radio channel being broadcast from a garage.
I don't have the issue of speaker being too loud like you have. But OnePlus needs to up their game. Maybe they should concentrate on these issues instead of creating hype around an invite system.

Can someone post the mixer_paths.xml? I'm waiting for my OPT to ship, but it'd be interesting to see if we could modify the mixer_paths.xml to work like the OPO speaker mods.
I did modify it and there is a little difference. Still, not as good as the OPO.

could you highlight which lines has been changed?
That's funny because I found the volume was way too loud on my OnePlus Two, even at the lowest setting. I disabled Audio Effects and I can now set the volume to a more appropriate level.
How did you disable Audio Effects? @thegregulator

Go into the app Audio Tuner and toggle it off. You can also toggle it off directly when playing media on the speaker, just press either of the volume buttons and look for the "AudioEffects" toggle.
No kidding. I got mine yesterday and it's so quiet that I'm concerned whether the alarms will wake me up; I'm a very heavy sleeper. I was just trying to listen to something on TuneIn which was quite audible on my OPO and I was straining to hear.
Go into audio tuner> turn the preset to "flat".. turn maxxbass off... turn maxxspace off...
Just done what omegablaze said but increased max dialog to max and my volume went up through headphones but not really seeing a difference though the phone. I was wondering if the are any custom flashes out there like extreme beats + viper4android that I have just seen on YouTube. U see I'm new to flashing and root etc so any help would be great because it's very hard to hear any calls that come though

Tweaking this file didnt help on oxygen 2.1 , hopefully someone soon has a better option.
Sorry to hear you're having that issue, the speaker volume on my OPT is quite loud, no volume issues here

well as per what i have researched there are many people who are facing this issue. Furthermore i have 2 other phones lumia 1520 and a motox and they both are very loud compared to one plus two. i have compared the same notification tones on all three phones and the lumia 1520 is the loudest whereas one plus is the quitest. In a noisy environment you dont come to know that it is ringing especially while riding a thumping motorbike.
My advice based on what I'm currently doing is to buy some nice headphones. The ones I'm using are Sony MDR-10RC they really compliment each other in looks and if you play with the audio settings it equals very nice sound. But if it's a case of you are not hearing you phone when its ringing just download zedge and search (loud ring tone). Yes I'm not a fan of oneplus 2 stock speakers but I hope this helps you out.

I also have problem with ringtones i work in factory on cnc and i can't heare phone ring tone and notification particularly
Guys, what about increase the volume of the headset or the headphones for listen to music louder? I saw the file, but I couldn't guess which value to change.
Same problem. Too low during Call, and loudspeaker during call. Notifications and ring tones too low too.
Headphones are fine though.

I guess something needs to be done, I also find volume very low
Not sure if this is a ROM bug or just a general problem with the Pro 3 X720 but I find in-call volume is very quiet. Even with the volume on max, calls are often difficult to hear. (I'm running latest OmniRom)
Any ideas?
Thanks.

While in-call, switch to speakerphone, then turn it off (the speakerphone). It'll be much better now, the adjustment of in call volumr will work. It keeps on working until you reboot the phone.

I tried that (having seen this suggestion on a previous thread) but it didn't help. Calls are still really quiet.
EDIT: duplicate reply
Probably an issue with your ROM, on stock the volume is plenty when full, way louder than my ex Samsung Note...
The max volume is loud enough for me.
On the other hand, the min volume is still too loud for me when I'm using the USB Type C stereo headset provided by Le Eco.
Any idea on how to dial down the volume further ?

Which ROM are you using?
Hello,
As the title states. I'm having problems with the volumes.
The media output seems very loud when listening to music. It's just when I receive notifications or phone calls I can hardly hear the phone sounds is there a sound boost mod which could help this. Thanks

Viper4Android perhaps.
