Are there any PC remote control app? Something similar to the team viewer app for iphone or another one?
Thanks!
Gmote 2.0 is kind of a remote app, mainly for media though.
It allows you to search through your files of your pc, from your phone,
and either play them on your pc, or on your phone. Has normal, play pause volume settings.
I.e. if i have an episode of family guy on my pc, i can use my phone to play it on my pc, which means i can be lazy and not move off my bed and watch it.
Also if i fancy doing it the other way round, i can stream the episode to my phone.
Only works over a local wi-fi though.
Thanks for this Phil, it's incredible and free!
It works perfectly on my Desire and Windows 7 PC (even though the installation instructions say XP/Vista).
No problemo
Only annoying thing is i cant stream most of my videos to my phone , buts that not the app fault, its fact there mostly .avi .
Great little app for us lazy people! Very useful when your watch a series of something with 20 mins episodes and you cant cant be bothered to get up and go the next one!
If any of you use MCE try myRemote, its awesome!
GRemote Pro is also awesome, not free though...
Thanks for your suggestions but I was looking for something more than just file browsing and running applications, more like having my PC desktop displayed and the mouse controllable on my desire's display.
GRemote Pro will allow you to control your mouse cursor and type etc, but won't display your PC desktop, you're talking about remote desktop software, not remote software.
For that try the LogMeIn free beta, or PhoneMyPC.

I can Highly recommend Gmote.
Tried it today on Ubuntu desktop machine and It's awesome!
Logmein is already available. Teamviewer is still in dev.
phonemypc is awesome. The execute Actions feature allows me (with the help of the app developer), to open a MS Access database on my pc with one button press. When that database is opened it automatically runs macros within Access.
I then press another button from my Android to close the MS Access database on my PC. You can of course remotely control your PC from your android. However, as mentioned above it is the ability to one button press an action that can be a bat file on your PC.
Excellent and well worth the money IMHO
If it's a remote desktop app you're after, have you tried RDP Client or PocketCloud?
UnifiedRemote looks pretty good.

TeamViewer beta 6.x both for desktop and phone work excellent! Pretty much exactly what I was after for months.
Initially, their front page ad scared me. Some Indian and Philippine fraudsters were using the same ad on their websites with a different edited product name which looks very similar overall (and the same blue website theme). They were phoning UK/US homes disguised as a legit business trying to get you to install such a product on your PC with lofty offers in return (free software, movies, etc). The product allowed them to basically take over your Windows machine without you realizing.

ex-Windows Mobile users like me should know what My Mobile is..
Android has a similar app. Its called Screencast.
You first need to get the ADB, and you should be able to run commands on the shell. If you can, Screencast can do the rest.
root users can control the android's touchscreen as well as the keyboard, and non-roots can do nothing but watch (and record video)
download and run. if you have adb u must have JRE so it should work perfectly.
Link to Google Project page

Ahh,gonna chk it out !!
thanks. i use something quite similar to look at the contents of my android... it's called myphoneexplorer. =D

NO control over android
I have a rooted phone with android 2.3.5, usb debugging enabled and the cracked display (digitizer not working too). I was able to see android screen on pc using adb and [email protected] but can not control it from mouse or keyboard. Any idea why?
Thanks! Saw someone doing the same concept on iOS.

Same here. I am running 4.2.2 on a nexus 5 and get the same thing. I am looking for a way to control phone through USB only. No internet this program seems to only do the display half of thing unfortunately. It is so frustrating that it's all over internet which I would think is much more complicated than just plug in and control but apparently not. Just getting so frustrated now.

I'm on a SGS2 i727R (rogers/fido version) Skyrocket running JB 4.1, rooted, usb debugging enabled and also cannot control through androidscreencast, only view. Phone's screen is busted, digitizer is gone but the non-screen touch buttons respond, as I'm able to make screenshots (power/stndby + home). My lockscreen is pattern so to manually input touch events to unlock my pattern seems pretty daunting.
To mention, I did buy another i727 (at&t version), did a blind backup of the broken one through cwm (4down, enter, 5down, enter) and restored it to the new one but all the calendar entries and notes I took through samsung's bloatware sNote, didn't restore and I had a lot of them. I can't seem to find where they're located on the filesystem and I never had a samsung account (required to sync your notes and calendar entries) so they're not backed up online. My guess is they might be encrypted locally and only be available to the same device/uid, though I might be wrong.
I was hoping to use androidscreencast to get past the unlock screen (pattern lock) and eventually export or sync the notes and calendar entries. Considering the phone's rooted, I'm wondering why I can't input touch events using androidscreencast. Is there an ADB command or a variable I have to change for this to be possible?
I've tried a few of the remote/ Makes your tablet a second screen apps, but I don't think I had found one that gave me audio out of the tablet. Is there such a thing?
bump
You might have to explain that one a bit better. Are you trying to remotely access the volume control on your tablet from your phone (or similar)?
If so, Droidmote works fine for that, although the server app (needed for the device u wanna control remotely) is now paying app (used to be free ).
If that's not what u were after, maybe a more detailed explanation of what ur trying to do could help...
I want to remote into my computer and use it on my tablet vut i need audio too.

Hi guys,
Am trying to put a PC to sleep over a network from my sgs3. I can use vnc to do it but would like to be able to have a button on my home screen that does it for me when pressed. Is this possible? I have tasker but have no idea if that will help.
Any ideas would be great.

Take a look at unified remote for android.
You can install a free android version, it has power control to sleep/shut down your PC. Also if you configure your machine to support wake on lan (usually in the bios) this app can wake it up as well.
Cheers for the reply, I am trying to do this without the need to install more software on the server PC.
Is there any way of executing a batch file stored on the server from the Android device?
Cheers

What os does the server run? Fairly easy if it's linux as you could use ssh from your phone to run remote commands, if it's windows I'm not sure, I haven't found an android implementation of psexec sadly.
I think WMI gives you some capability. At work we have a script to gather data and it uses WMI to gather logs and Windows logs and registry keys from customer's machines.
My mum just got a Nexus 10. She's not very technically minded and may need tech support from time to time. I don't live nearby so I'm looking for an app that will allow me to remotely see and control her screen (preferably without needing root). So far I've tried Teamviewer QuickConnect which allows screen sharing on some devices but it seems that the Nexus 10 isn't one of them.
Any suggestions?
